Classic Cleaners

It was a $329.00 rug and they charged $343.85 to clean it. The price included a 10% off coupon. I went in to pick it up and thought there must be some mistake on the price. No, pay the $343.85 or no rug. I have been going to Classic Cleaners since they opened their 86th and Westfield Avenue location, which has been a long time. They have lost a very good customer.

My first issue with this company was with my metal collar stays. My previous company would put these in a bag for me if I forgot them. With the magnets they run about $10 a shirt. I have never received any of these back and have lost at least 10 pair. If I use plastic stays I do get those back mostly melted beyond use but not taken. My second issues was with a $300 custom shirt that was stained by the cleaner. They argued that the pickup bag caused the spray patterned staining on the shirt when the bag got wet sitting out in the rain, on my porch, under the soffit, waiting for pickup. No other shirts or my wife's dresses were affected. When I brought the shirt to them they said they were going to test it. I called 5 times and visited the cleaners in person twice and never received a call back. I emailed the manager a few times and was asked for a receipt for the shirt. My taylor called the manager and faxed over a receipt. I was asked if I wanted a check or credit for my shirt. From that point on I never received a call back or response to my email and have never received the credit or check. I has a clerk tell me they looked it up in the computer and it was marked as a closed case. I was nice enough to return a real fox fur brim accidentally included with my delivery months later but was still never called by the manager to discuss my shirt. My third issues is with the quality of the shirt pressing. Half the time I get my shirts I'll have several that have button press marks on the front and back of my shirts. Either they are not lining the shirt up correctly or they are stacking 2-3 shirts in the press at the same time. I have to re-iron the shirt to try to make the button marks less pronounced running down my back but can't get them to go away until after they are laundered. My Fourth issue is with the policy "Shirt Button Guarantee. Should there be any broken or missing buttons on your laundered shirts, we sew on new ones. In fact, we guarantee that there will be no broken or missing buttons on your laundered shirts you receive back from us, or we will clean three additional shirts for free." The problem is they don't fix buttons. I have had one shirt that my wife has packed for me three times for out of town trips where the button on the sleeve is broken. There are two buttons on the sleeve bet the inside button is too tight for my wrists. To be fair I have never called them about this because I don't have time to complain every time they miss something or do a poor job. I hope this helps you make a informed choice. I have never had an issue with the delivery drivers. They are always nice when I have met them and they do a great job of hanging my cloths in the garage. They have never missed a pickup or dropoff.

They are certified, they are the only ones certified in town. It was for dry cleaning but not just any dry cleaning but it was for a wedding gown dry cleaning. Everything about them was an 'A'. I would use them again in the future for sure.

We could not be more satisfied. We leave the clothes to be picked up on the side of the house where the driver can see them. When delivering the cleaned clothes, it was his idea to walk all the way around the house to the back porch so they would be better protected. Great customer service! Much appreciated! Thanks!

Although I do not generally do a lot of dry cleaning, these guys provide awesome service. When they set up a delivery route in my area, they provided a large cloth cleaning bag so that I could place my items in the bag and leave it on my porch on pickup days, You do not have to leave it on your porch if you are concerned about security - they will pick up or leave in your garage, or knock on your door, whatever works for you. They send email reminders that they are coming the next day, and are very generous with discount coupons. They will hang your clothing or fold it , per your instructions at the time you set up the service. You provide them a credit card to keep on file so that the driver does not have to collect money. Re: quality of their cleaning: My down comforter had some stains on it that came out nicely. When they returned the comforter, it was in a nice reusable zipper storage bag - not just a flimsy plastic cleaners bag. My sweaters were nicely folded with a paper band surrounding them to keep them folded. Although these sweaters were washable, the yarn is the tape yarn type that unravels sometimes when hand washing, so I chose to dry clean them for gentleness. Because of their gentle special care to my sweaters, I will likely increase the amount of dry cleaning that I send them. I do feel that dry cleaning, in general, is a bit pricey, but Classic Cleaners makes it worth it.

My husband uses the location at Trader's Point (West 86th St by Marsh) and has been very pleased with how his shirts have turned out. The turnaround time for laundering, starching and ironing is very quick and the location is super convenient. He especially likes the loyalty points where he earns money off future orders. I had a dress altered for my daughter. The communication wasn't that great ( I had to call them to find out when it would be done), but the work was great! I will definitely use this service in the future.

I must say, I've never been anywhere that is this good. The price was totally fair for the quality and timeliness I received. I would recommend them to anyone on the north side of indianapolis. I don't have to do dry cleaning but once every few months but I won't go anywhere else. They can even deliver it to your house if need be! Granted, expect to pay a bit more, but it's so worth it. If you fell victim to bad dry cleaners in the past because you didn't have a choice, thank God you joined Angie's List and found these guys. Keep up the great work! Sincerely, Jordan

It went fine. The estimate was correct, the work was fine and they met the schedule they promised.

2 pairs of men's shoes cleaned. Shoes looked great. Price was right (only $10/pair). I will definitely have shoes cleaned here again. My coat was also cleaned and came back in great shape and only took 24 hours.

Classic Cleaners has always been very professional. Whenever I have contacted them with a question or special request, they respond to me right away. They do a really nice job with the actual dry cleaning of clothes.

I would send my draperies to Classic Cleaners. I was there a month ago. They pretty much can get any stain out as you tell them what you think it is and if you are not happy with how it came out they can do other things. They are willing to go that second mile. But you need to ask for that sometimes. They are just friendly, they usually know your name.

I was very pleased with them. It was very nice that they offered a discount as well, half off. They do a very good job and use Eco friendly products. I highly recommend them. The girl at the desk is very friendly and nice.

I’ve used them couple of times in the last six months and everything seems to be okay. They did a good job on the cleaning and everything. I even checked the buttons to make sure they were intact and they were.

They were able to do large objects like rugs and draperies, and they did a very good job.

I enjoyed it; it was good. They were very personable and very nice. They were nice to do business with. I told them I had Angie's List and they were very excited about that, which was a good thing. I dropped them off that morning and they were ready when I came back; I didn’t have to wait at all. I will definitely use them again.

The one thing I like in them is that when I go in and tell them where the stain is they’ll mark the stain and they’ll talk to me about it. For some particular stains they do a very good job.

The person that checked our garnments in, with the bag provided by Classic Cleaners, missed recording a new jacket of mine. When I called regarding this issue, well over 7 times, and emailed three times or more, the company response was since it was never "logged in" they never received it.I have been a great customer of theirs, FOR YEARS, with never a dispute, spending thousands of dollars/year on dry cleaning, and this is how I was treated.They lost a customer. The jacket was not that expensive. The right thing to do would have been to replace the jacket at their expense.

I brought my dress clothes in late (~7pm) and they had it ready by the next morning. Excellent service! They removed every single stain, even one from minestrone soup I wontonly spilled on my nice white shirt. To boot, the price was exceptional, and they weren't messy with the heavy starch. I hate it when there is a white powder residue. Thanks!

Do let them know any spots and what you think it is. Let them know of any repairs or missing buttons when dropped off or route pick up.

We have been using them for over a year and are very pleased with them. I think their quality of work is extremely high for delicate kinds of things and linen. The prices also seem to be good. I like that you can use a locker there so you can pick your stuff up anytime you go up there, that's been really useful.

Great experience - Quick and easy drop off and pick up- They even sent me an e-mail when my clothes were ready! A week later I received a coupon book in the mail - very nice staff too.

They did very well. I would recommend them. I was pleased with their service. I had one stain that did not come out initially so they asked my permission to try a different method. I agreed and the stain came out. They aren't cheap but it's worth it.

This is a very good place to take a wedding gown for dry cleaning and/or pressing. They are attentive to every detail. They package it up so well, there is little chance of wrinkling on the trip home.

Quick process to drop off. Took several days to get back which was fine since I wasn't in a hurry. Price was average - comparable to other dry cleaners.
