Description of Work: I used ChemDry once before to clean my carpets and was very impressed that they were able to get some red wine from a party I had out of my carpet. In March, I explained I had a red stain from a Crystal Lite raspberry drink. I was told when I ordered the service they had some special solutions that should work on the stain. |When the carpet cleaner arrived, he tried to charge me extra for the special solutions when I had previously clarified by phone there would be no extra charges included in the price. He also tried to say that the room was large enough to be counted as two rooms. This was never an issue the previous time I used them. After speaking with his boss or the owner, he relented about the room size. The rest of the carpet cleaning was fine, but he was not able to get the stain out. Had I known, I would have simply put the price of the carpet cleaning towards new carpet, as it will have to be replaced. I realize they can't know until they try, but they seemed quite confident it would come out over the phone. |I probably won't use them again - not because they couldn't get the stain out, but because it seems like there are always additional charges in person that are never disclosed over the phone. The first time I used them I seem to remember they tried to charge me some sort of fee for coming out, which was never disclosed when I called in the order. I don't know how they planned to clean the carpet without coming out. Again, they removed the charge in the end. I am uncomfortable challenging service providers when I am overcharged. I am also uncomfortable saying negative things about them here, but it may help the company and future customers to make sure all pricing is clarified at the time of the order.

Description of Work: We called them in to clean the carpet in our house we are putting on the market. There were a few major stains that he told me up front that would not come out. He tried anyway, and it looked great, but the next day the stains came back! But that's ok, he already told us with his experience, it looked like something that was a lost cause. The rest of the house looks great. The other stains are gone and have stayed gone.

Description of Work: They cleaned the sun room, living room, dining room, and den. I was very pleased with the results; they got out some stains that I didn't think would come out and the 40-year old wool carpet looks wonderful. One thing, I was not especially pleased that all the pet odor is still not gone, despite a second ($65) treatment in the sun room. The serviceman said it may take a while to completely dissipate. It's much better, but still not completely gone.
