The young man came when scheduled but he used a special prod and found my carpet was still damp. He returned when the carpet had more time to dry. He was very personable and professional. Came back cleaned carpet. No extra fee charged for coming back the second time. I appreciate the promptness which they responded.

I've used ChemDry before and they've always provided proffesional service at a competitive price. I will continue to use their services in the future

On the day of the service, I had not received a call in the morning confirming the appointment. After waiting for an hour, I called the office and they admitted to a scheduling error - however quickly remedied the situation and had someone at our home within an hour. We had experienced pet stains from 2 dogs in our office and the carpet technician was very upfront in the treatment process. He treated all areas first and then cleaned the carpets. He informed us that we may experience a "smell" for a few days as the stains worked out of the carpet and he was correct. After a week - all the stains and smells had disappeared and the carpets are clean and the office looks great.

He did a good job and the carpet and chairs look great.

The guy was personable. We went over what needed to be cleaned and how much it was going to cost. I think it took him about an hour to and hour and a half.

It went great. The results were good and they had good customer service. Their price was okay although it seemed expensive, but I really didn't compare it.

We had other companies clean our carpets, and even though we were on a "regular cleaning schedule" with them, the stains kept coming back in the dining room. We had ChemDry come out and after only one treatment and 5 months later, the stains have not returned. Yea! We are having them clean our entire house in just a few weeks.

The gentleman from ChemDry by Kevin Jones was courteous, on time, and committed to doing a good job. He worked diligently on the high traffic areas and offered suggestions on ways to keep these areas clean. He was neat and tidy, and had my carpets looking fantastic! One of the main reasons I like this firm is that I feel the people are trustworthy and caring. Money can't buy that feeling of security,

I paid for one treatment which I assumed was entire carpet. I was told by the cleaner that 5 treatments would be necessary! I decided to purchase only two in select areas.to make sure it worked. It did not. Although it looked good immediately after, a few days later the areas seemed worse than before, probably because the carpet was also cleaned.

They did well. My dog had messed the carpet in my bedroom. They were very prompt. Joe Gepts did a great job.

Overall the service was great. He was on time and really nice to work with. Professional and offered tips to keep the carpets cleaned. The carpets looked really nice at the end and we appreciated his hard work. We will use them again in the future.

I am glad we called Chemdry to perform the service. We used Angie's List to make our selection. Although we chose them based on their coupon offer, we ended up spending a little more for some of the extras. We were well informed of the process and actually learned some new things along the way. As it turns out, the sellers did have the carpets cleaned, however this was done to cover up pet odor that we did not know about. In the end, we are extremely pleased with the results and plan on using this company on a regular basis.

We use them all the time because my husband had a bad reaction to previous carpet cleanings & we know he doesn’t have reaction to what this company uses. They showed up when they said they were going to – in fact they were a little early. They gave an estimate & stuck to it. The final price for the rug cleaning was actually less than quoted which was nice & they called to follow-up after the service.

They came out to clean our carpet from some water damage that had happened a week prior. Kent was our technician and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He was very informative as to what he was going to do and made suggestions as to things he felt would improve our carpet from the stains. We did a steam clean with an antimicrobial treatment and a stain fighter as well. From start to finish Kent only took about an hour and a half to complete the job. The service he provided was top notch and we will continue to use this company and will recommend them to anyone who needs a reasonably priced carpet cleaner!

Summary: F on price: Initial price quoted $169 for 5 rooms up to 1,250 square feet; final price $364 for 413 square feet, 4 steps and cushions for eight outdoor wicker chairs. F on professionalism: There was a lack of discussion about likely poor outcome of cleaning as a result of condition of carpet on the front porch even though it was clear from the written summary this was known by the technician. I let this company take advantage of me, don't make the same mistake. Detail: I first phoned Chemdry on a Saturday leaving a message. The message was promptly returned but due to my schedule we were not able to talk until Thursday. We discussed cleaning my front porch, an area rug, a bedroom and library. The person I spoke to was very helpful and as I described my project suggested a great deal for Angie's list customers $169 for 5 rooms of up to 250 square feet per room. To my pleasant surprise we booked for the next Saturday. I immediately phoned back to tell them I would also need the cushions on eight wicker chairs cleaned. I was thanked for the call back and told that would be no problem. There was no mention of pricing for cleaning the cushions. I assumed that since I had far less than the maximum square footage if there was a charge it would be nominal. The technician called prior to coming to the house asking if he could come about 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment. The call and the early arrival time were both appreciated. During that call I told him that I?d decided not to clean the bedroom and library at this time. I told him that I could get another coupon from the web if needed to which he replied that wouldn?t be necessary. It went downhill from there. His initial quote for cleaning the total square footage of 413 square feet of carpet, steps and cushions was in excess of $400. I was stunned and should have sent him away at that time but was too anxious to have the carpet cleaned for the spring and asked how we got from $169 to $400 with a smaller space. I was informed that the deal didn?t include steps and cushions. He was surprised this hadn?t been mentioned. I said so if I go back to the full package it will only cost me an additional $30 to do the office and library. He thought for a minute and provided me with a further discount. The new total was $364. I should have sent him away at that point but was still too anxious to get the porch set up for spring and signed the contract. He performed the work. The carpet is cleaner and looks OK but no one is going to walk up and comment on how clean it looks. I noticed after he left he?d marked on the sheet that he turns back into the office the carpet was stained, matted and had a heavy traffic lane. It clearly says on the sheet that some stains may be permanent. I think he should have discussed areas of concern before performing the work. Now that I?ve had time to reflect, I know that as soon as the price changed I should have sent the technician away. The price per square foot of carpet for the special was $0.13 for up to 1,250 square feet. I was charged $2 per square foot on the area rug and $0.28 per square foot on the front porch. I?d originally been lead to believe that the area rug would be one of the areas included in the special. In addition I was charge $5 per cushion and another $40 for the four steps. This company took me for a ride, and I know you are probably laughing as you read knowing that I could be such a sap. Obviously, I will not be dumb enough to get taken by this company again. I hope this review prevents at least one other person from being taken. Update to Kevin Jones reponse: He did not inform me that he would only clean traffic areas in 5 rooms, I understood the deal as cleaning up to 5 rooms. This is a bait and switch tactic. The tactic is to get you to have them out for a cleaning and then explain all the reasons that it is going to cost more than double to actually get a clean carpet. He is correct that I knew the price and approved it. As I stated, I should have sent him away but didn't. He does not user pressure to hook you he uses the power of getting a person excited about getting the job done quickly. It worked for me but please don't waste your time with this company. I initially rated his quality as average but have dropped it to an F. Since he has been out the cleaning that he did on the steps apparently loosened dirt that was not picked up by his process but brought it to the surface and now my steps look worse than before he cleaned. Please save yourselves some pain and NEVER use this company. I will post photos of the space if I can figure out how and you will be able to see the size of the space and the poor quality of work.

Purchased a groupon with the understanding that there would be extra charges. A single room is 250 sq ft (I think) - so if you are larger than that they charge for the extra. Paid for a few extra services, but knew I was going to. Overall the technician was nice (shy) and efficient. We had HVAC here at the same time as we don't have days off work to devote to the house upkeep and had to get things done at the same time. They worked around each other pretty well. I would hire again, even though this was our last ditch effort to extend the life of the carpet our home was built with (7+ years old - new dog and 2 thru 9 year old, tested). We will probably replace it in the next year or so - but it looked super nice once professionally cleaned!

Took 2 weeks to get a reply to email - decided not to pursue service with them.

The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He was very clean, professional and knowledgeable. Gave me an explanation of all available services and various prices. He pointed out the Angie's List discount is larger than coupon I received in the mail. He took great care not to damage any furniture. It only took a little over an hour from start to finish. I'd recommend the company without hesitation.

I will not be using Chem Dry again. I had 1 room cleaned and a set of stairs. What was suppose to be a $100 job turned into over $300. He charged me for every single stain that was on the carpet, a special "disposal" fee and a fee for "removing" the waste. I expressed that I was not happy about this and the fees were NOT stated in anything in writing so he did take a few of them off. I think it was a bunch of bologna and a scam. I hate companies that say this is the price and they nickel and dime you once they get here. Well you don't have a choice but to pay it once they are here. Will not be using them again! I know use Stanley Steemer and they shampoo my living room, stairs, bedroom AND basements and my bill was $169.

We have used them for over 10 years. Obviously they do a good job or we wouldn't keep calling them! They get us on the schedule in a timely manner, arrive promptly and do a good job. They are also polite and friendly.

Professional, but i was not happy. Quoted me per square foot, but did not mention that it would be extar to treat certain stains. At the appointment they tried to upsell me, I declined so the carpets did not look clean. If I had known ahead of time about the additional cost to treat I would have found another service provider. Did not like being told one price and then need to spend more to get the job done. Company was prompt and curtious, we discussed my issue. Not really their fault, but felt that the service was expensive for the end result. Could have done the job my self for much less money.

Kevin Jones came out the day I contacted them and evaluated the situation. He had the drying fans with him. He was very helpful and professional. I appreciated his promptness and friendly manner.
