From the first call we made to them they were very polite, punctual & clearly communicated all that would be done . CertaPro was the lowest estimate out of three others! The workers did the job quickly & neatly. We are VERY PLEASED & will definitely call them for other projects.

I was more than pleased. Most importantly, the painting looked great when it was done. They repaired walls looked good as new and matched the other walls in the room perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves when they were done. From beginning to the end, the person working with me, Colton, was always responsive and patiently answered all my questions. They promptly took care of a few small touch ups that we needed. No complaints!

In general, the painters did a nice job in painting our spaces. They completed the project within the 3d allotted. Lines were crisp at ceilings and walls. Colors and paint selected applied in 2 coats on walls, 1 coat for ceilings & trim. Once on sight, they worked straight thru to 4pm before calling it a day. Some confusion over windows on day 2 --- consumer knowledge is windows are all the window pieces but for Certa pro, it's 3 items: window frames, windows and the cross pieces. Be sure to ask for all 3 to be included in your quote if that's what you want painted otherwise they paint only the frames (or an additional cost). It's when you get to the details of the project that things start to crumble for professionalism. In all received emails, informational packets and from the painters themselves, start times were stated 9-9:30 on Monday, 8-8:30 the rest of the week. Day one (Mon), they showed up at 10am (a call to the production manager stated traffic but the painters later stated stopped for breakfast); Day two (after confirming the 8-8:30 with the painters), it was 9:15 when they arrived; and Day 3 (after confirming with the painters of 9-9:15 arrival), it was 9:45am arrival. Prompt arrival times are appreciated when you are anticipating it ensure your house is prepared (i.e.: dogs). The informational packet goes on to state owner meet with lead painter for 10min then he would leave to get paint, with the crew staying behind to prep. Both of the guys left at 10:15 day one to go get the paint and didn't return until after 11am. After covering furniture, counters and appliances with plastic, it was closer to 12n before any paint was used. They also both left for about an hour in the afternoon as they ran out of ceiling paint. If you needed to leave home with them there (as brochure states you can do), this schedule would have been difficult. No shoe covers were worn / drop cloths were rarely used and randomly placed. While doing the ceilings, one was under the paint tray and where the paint extension rod would lay but it was not used under the paint cans as they rested on hardwood floors leaving paint drips that did get stepped in. After day one, paint was pointed out on the wood floors, it was removed from the surface but remained embedded in the lines of the floor planks with some streaks. After the first day of ceiling painting, the plastic was removed from all furniture and counters (and not used again). Furniture was not moved into the center of the room or kept covered and resulted in paint getting on some items. Switch & outlet plates weren't 100% removed prior to painting and some weren't removed at all during the painting process (cable, phone and some outlets) leaving them freckled with paint splatters on the covers & outlets for the owner to clean up later. Biggest disappointment was day 3. The day before, the painters had informed me they had an additional job on day 3 to go to starting at 12n but said they weren't going to make it. Arriving 45min late on day 3 (they called at expected arrival time to inform they would be late), they had mostly the office and some trim remaining. The office wall patch hadn't fully dried (painters later stated they had to force it dry) and although the entire office had a lot of sanding to do, ZERO coverings were placed in the room and no drop cloths put down. Sanding dust covered the office space, including furniture, fish tank and electronics. A shop vac was used to sweep the floors before they left but the painters looked rushed to complete this room / the project as compared to the other areas. Walk thru was asked to be completed in the office with the walls, doors & trim still very wet. It wasn't until after they were gone & the room was dry that further inspection could be completed. Wall & floor drips were noticed; paint on the glass & wood desk / bookcase; paint globs on the carpet; sanded dust remained above the closet doors and blue paint (in a newly painted tan room) under the window frame which means that trim was never painted on the top or bottom and puddled paint dripped onto the hardwood floors around the door trims. That was the lasting impression of the work they did leaving some cleanup / touch up / repairs for the homeowner to do. Again, the painters were nice, they did a good job on the walls, ceilings & trim/doors, and completed the project within the 3d window but it was the attention to details that are stated over and over in the brochure, contract, emails and discussions with the sales representative that would have set them apart from other companies that did not live up to expectations and left the homeowner with additional work.

I had used Certapro several weeks ago for some extensive indoor work, which went very well and which I reviewed. A few days ago they powerwashed several outside areas of the house, including some walls and the front porch that needed cleaning but not painting. That work cost $150 produced beautiful results. Today's job took a crew of two about four hours to complete and I am very happy with it. Certa Pros painters are knowledgeable, polite, friendly, efficient, professional, go about the job quickly without any waste of time, leave the area clean when finished and looking great. Their prices are very reasonable and I am so pleased with their work that they have become my go-to painters for any job, whether inside or outside. Their next project for me will be staining my deck next Spring.

This is a slightly different twist on a service review. I debated telling it but decided someone may benefit. We moved into out house 1 year ago. There was a fresh coat of neutral tone paint in the open concept main living areas (living room, dining room, kitchen, den) plus master bedroom and master bath. Certapro came to my house to estimate painting. Very nice young man gave me a competitive estimate. This CertaPro estimator noticed that the previous painter had painted over wallpaper, which they would not paint over again. He said the wallpaper would have to be removed first, the walls prepped and then a fresh coat of paint could be applied. He indicated it was pretty unprofessional to have painted over wallpaper in the first place. Next step, I called the previous owner to find out who she employed to paint over the wallpaper and why they would have done that. Guess who? - CertaPro. (I went through the files she left and there I found the contract and receipt.) She indicated that removal of the wallpaper in the master bedroom took 3 days because the walls had not been properly sized first by the builder and the wallpaper was pasted right on to the fresh drywall. After so much work and with the cost of manpower rising, it was suggested to her that they could paint the master bath (which is quite large with 14' ceilings) over the wallpaper, as well as the Great Room. She said she was not told that any problem would result from doing it. 'I asked 2 other reputable paint contractors if they would paint over these walls and they said "No" - each additional coat of paint would compromise the wallpaper beneath and it would eventually begin to peel. Sure enough, I've notices that the steam from taking a shower is loosening the border at the top. I called CertaPro, stated the issue and asked if someone could tell me why their painters would have taken this route. A week later someone returned my call. I told him about the dilemma that had been caused by a quick fix. Since other paint contractors and CertaPros own estimator said this was not professional I wanted some kind of explanation as to how and why this happened. He had no answer for that, was quite curt and unapologetic with me, and said that if the previous client was good with the work - that was all that mattered to him. Great customer service - huh? I was hoping that since they caused the problem, that we could come to some kind of compromise for them to remove the wallpaper and repaint. Wasn't expecting much really - just would have made me feel better and I could have written a glowing review about how CertaPro stood by their work. My high grades go to the estimator, who first contacted me. He was punctual and professional. The low grades go to CertaPro the company and whoever I spoke with regarding this.

All work was completed as promised and the skill of the painters was good. I explained to all involved I was particular about neatness and paint splatters. As most painters today, they did not put down drop cloths or protection. After the work was done I had to walk around pointing out drips which they promptly cleaned with chemicals. All three of the young men were courteous and attentive.

The work was done in accordance with estimate, despite extra time needed to remove the strawcloth. As much of the paste removal took place in a high foyer there was a deal of dust that unavoidably floated throughout other areas, but in general the work, including painting, was performed efficiently and we had little to complain about. The workers were all polite, pleasant and professional. We are pleased to have found painters we can rely upon for a fair price and good work, and will be using CertaPro in October for exterior painting and deck sealing.

I was not happy with CertaPro, particularly the poor job they did on the interior of my windows. While the price was good, the quality of their work was very disappointing. They had assured me that they would take the time to scrape and sand down the windows to ensure a smooth paint finish. Instead, only minimal prep work was performed. Even when I pointed out obvious areas where they had failed to scrape off peeling paint, they did not go back and fix it as they promised me they would. They left drops of paint all over my windows - again they promised they would fix it, but never did so. To top things off, they dropped a caulking gun on my new wood floors and left a noticeable gouge. If they were professionals, they would have pointed out the damage, but instead I had to discover it for myself. The home office did make it right by offering a $500 discount. I do not recommend CertaPro for any work requiring surface prep. If you want quality work done, these are not your guys. On the other hand, if you are simply looking for an inexpensive option and not concerned about quality, go ahead and give them a try.

They did a very good job. I had 3 estimates and they were priced great. They were very quick to complete the job.

The paint job was excellent, and the crew was extremely efficient. In terms of the end result, they get top marks. Coordination was a little complicated as they are clearly a big and busy company. A salesman came to give the estimate then passed us on to a production manager who coordinated the general scheduling then passed us on to the coordinator for the crew that would be painting. All that would have been cool, but there was rain the week it was scheduled, and none of the three proactively called to let us know what that meant for our job. I reached out to them each day to see if they were or weren't coming, and it always involved multiple calls where one of them would have to talk to another and then get back to me which was a little annoying. We also paid extra for their lead paint precautions since our house has some lead paint, but we still ended up finding more paint chips than we would have liked around the yard and walkways. That being said, I hired them to paint, and my house looks great, so overall I give them a decent grade.

Once I posted on Angie's List, I will say that Certa Pro made the situation right and offered to refund job costs . We insisted that we paid for paint, as it was purchased and used on the job.

Since I purchased the deal for two painters for a day, I really had no idea how much they could accomplish so I made a pretty long list for them. Obviously, they didn't get everything done, but what they did do was very good (large living room with cathedral ceiling, dining area, and hallway). I supplied a warm yellow paint and they needed to paint over a dark color from the previous owners, so it took two coats of paint. They were very polite and professional, and their work was very good. Overall, I was very pleased.

They were pretty good, although it was difficult to get them scheduled. The painters, although they were very competent, forgot some things that were on the contract like painting the door and painting the mail box. I called them and they came back and did a good job. Some of the windows were painted shut, but when I called them they came back and cleared them. One of the curtains had paint splattered on it.

They fixed areas where other painters had missed. Workers came right out and they did a great job! Every time I have even a small problem, they send people our right away with immediate response! I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I've used Angie's List for other projects but this was one of the best references yet. CertaPro from AJ to JJ to MC to the final paint crew were great. I would recommend this company and crew to anyone. They were always on-time, very polite and worked hard. I can't say enough about how pleased my wife and I are with the final results of this project. Thank You AJ, JJ, MC and Crew.

The pricing was better than other providers.

Crew was fantastic. The crew was a family with young daughter providing translation and asking questions and providing follow up. Very neat and quiet crew who did the job quickly and with great care for details. Very much enjoyed this painting crew.

Return call promptly, schedule appointment to view paint colors and discuss what we wanted. Schedule and started project on time. left a few areas, like inside of closets, but one phone call and it was reschedule and completed promptly. Love the result.

They arrived on time. They prepared the area quickly and did a wonderful job painting. They were polite, Efficient and did an excellent job!!

CertaPro wasn't the cheapest bid we got but they were by far the most punctual and professional. Their estimate was very thorough and they always responded promptly to questions and requests. The crew was always on time and they worked hard to get the job done quickly. Scheduling exterior painting around spring rains can't be easy but they never sacrificed quality for speed, they did both. And when there was a mistake (they used a different quality of paint than we specified) they immediately took steps to make it right. My house looks spectacular and I'm very satisfied. I would definitely use CertaPro again.

Our experience with CertaPro Painters of Indianapolis went very well. They were very professional and very responsive. They were priced a little higher than other companies, but they were very good. They were worth the extra cost.

The people I worked with were very responsive from the first contact on. The sales consultant was running a little late, but called to let me know in plenty of time that he would be late. He did a great job of explaining everything to me from the process to the price. The only issue I had at that point was being told that they couldn't honor the Angie's List discount that I had found. However, they found other ways to make this up to me, not quite the same savings, but they did work with me. Michelle, the color consultant, was very helpful. The painters did a nice job, the rooms look great. They cleaned everything up and put everything back in it's place before leaving. I only found a couple of messes and tape left up, but it was easily taken care of. Overall I am very happy.
