Thanks for being honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. You could've taken advantage and charged me a small fortune but you didn't--and for that, I cannot thank you enough

They found out it was outside the pit but within 5ft. which would require a backhoe for digging. They had to wait 2 days in order to let the gas company come out and mark the lines. They came promptly when they said they would and the leak was within the 5ft, in fact it was just outside the pit. They did a great job and the price was well within the quoted price $1200-$1500 it actually came in on the low side.
Description of Work: There was a leak in the water pit at my rental house. They came out to determine if it was in the pit itself or outside the pit.

It went well. They removed drywall to get a view of the leak. They have me an estimate of what it would cost to repair.

I'm sold on them as far as plumbers. We have had quite a bit of work done by them over the years, and we keep calling them back.
Description of Work: We had used Carlisle in the past and been pleased with them. We bought a new house and did work on it for a few months before we moved in. We had them come out and reroute the plumbing and add some fixtures to the garden tub and replumb the soft water.

See notes above. One of the worst customer service experience I have seen.
Description of Work: Please note: The cost listed above of $75 does not include the cost of the work which was paid through our home warranty company. This was the cost for their initial visit to determine the problem. On 9/28 we noticed that our water heater was leaking. We called our home owners warranty company, who sent Carslise plumbing to assess the problem. They determine that a new water heater is needed and scheduled time to come in on Monday and install a new water heater. When they brought the water heater in, they hit the walls in a few places, causing damage to the dry wall in two places and scraping the paint in two other places. My husband spoke to the installer about fixing the damage they caused, and he said his supervisor would come back to fix it. Since we did not hear back from them, we called and they said they would be able to come in two weeks later on 10/16 at 4pm to fix the damage to the wall. I left work early to wait for them at the scheduled time, however, they did not show up. We called again and they said they had an issue with the schedule and would need to scheduled a different date to come in. They then scheduled time to come in on 10/19. My husband took time off work to wait for them, yet they again did not show up. This time they said they had issues with the guy that was supposed to come in and would send someone else on a different date. We waited again on the date they were scheduled to come in, yet for the third time they did not show up. We called and they said that they now cannot come in at that time. On all three occasions they scheduled time to come in and simply did not show up. After many calls and many hours of lost work we ended up having to fix the wall ourselves.

in a word - perfect!
Description of Work: We have a mobile home that my mother-in law lives in behind our house. Behind the mobile home is another house and moblie home that do not belong to us. Last winter, during an ice storm the sewer drain to our moblie home froze and broke, resulting in raw sewage in the yard. My husband was sick so our neighbor ran a temporary drain over to his mobile home's soil pipe and we frankly forgot about it. A few weeks ago, we had some trees removed and their truck ran over the exposed drain. We decided to have it replaced correctly this time before the weather got too bad so we had 3 companies give us estimates. We wanted to have a new trench dug and a lateral line run to the main sewer (about 50 feet away) The first company, ARS quoted this at over $7000.00 but did agree that they way we were requesting to have this done was the proper way to do it. The second company, Benjamin Franklin, quoted this at about $3500.00 but wanted to run it back to my neighbor's soil pipe. I repeatedly explained that I did not want to do that and asked several times for a quote for the way we wanted it done. He kept hedging and finally said "several thousand" I asked if it was more than 10 thousand and he said "Likely". Carlisle was the third company we contacted. Joe came out, looked at the situation and gave us a ballpark figure which he said he would update as soon as he contacted Ben Davis Conservatory to get a look at the sewer schematics. After he researched it, he called back and said that he could do it for the amount of money he quoted. Their crew showed up when expected and did the work as expected. They were effecient, organized and knew exactly how to do the work required. I would most definately use them again.

Carlisle Plumbing Co The job went very well, and I liked Carlisle Plumbing Co. I liked the fact that he didn't charge me an arm and a leg. I liked fact that he didn't try and sell me on a bunch of stuff that I really didn't need. And he could have because, I wouldn't have known any better. He just fixed the problem.
Description of Work: Carlisle Plumbing Co I used Carlisle Plumbing Co, to replace a seal on a commode. It was maybe 3 months ago. The cost was about $100.

The plumber called ahead to reconfirm the appointment, spent a lot of time explaining the various causes, and made a small repair. He was very honest and answered all our questions. We have since used this company for other repairs and have been pleased.
Description of Work: We moved into our house June 24th from out of town. Less than a week later, the pilot light on our hot water heater went out. Since we'd purchased a homeowner's insurance policy through our realtor, we called in a report and Carlisle Plumbing was assigned to assist us.

When my toilette stopped working, I called my home owner's warranty company. They told me that I would be getting a call from Carlisle Company and if I did not hear from them to call them. Carlisle Company called me within an hour. My roommate was home and they said they would be able to get to my house that day to fix the tiolette. (I was out of town). I received a call from my roommate later that day to say they had fixed the toilette. Awesome, I thought. When I came back in town, I kept hearing the water in the tiolette running, non-stop. I tried jiggling the handle and nothing worked. My roommate was going to be home the next day and I was going to be out of town again. I called the company and they took my roommate's phone number and said that they would call her and be there that day. Two days later (i"m still out of town) I get a call from my roommate that they had just called her, but unfortunately she was working and would not be able to go to my house. That's the day I realized they didn't call her the day they promised. They knew that the work they did had not been completed correctly and there was water running non-stop and didn't even call for two additional days. I ended up having someone else come and fix the water running issue that they caused. I don't think the flapper was replaced correctly because every few flushes you have to fix the chain. I am very disappointed, and will have someone else more reliable fix that issue.
Description of Work: This company came to fix my toilette because it wouldn't flush. They needed to change the flapper.

I'm trying to get my house ready for sale and this has caused problems. For starters they ran the backhoe into 2 trees and the maple tree may not survive. They tore up both sides and the back of my yard instead of just tearing up one side. I was going to save part of the patio, but they drove their truck right over the paver stones which I now have to build a deck to cover that mess up. Another company came to inspect our crawl space and determined that the finger system from the septic tank that Carlisle did wasn't tapped, so everything in crawl space was getting wet. Carlisle did come fix that at no cost but didn't really want to be there or apologize for missing that. Due to their lack of respect for my patio and yard, I'm going to have to find a deck builder and landscaper to repair the problems that Carlisle created and they're financially responsible for, which is why I signed up for Angie's List. I wouldn't recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I hired them to install water & sewage hookups for me.
