oil change , blade sharpened etc. I bought mower from them one year ago on the premise the would service it. I called in March and was Scolded because I did not call them in winter for my service. i was told they would put me on their calender for pick up and service and I would get a call in 2 week. been 90 days. I called again . excuses , excuses. I was on their pick up list NOT their service list. I said why was I not picked up. This went with more excuses and finally the owner hung up on me. Poor poor poor way to run a business. Cant service what they sell?

Description of Work: Replaced a part on our Toro mower that was causing it to regurgitate oil. Short delay in getting part from factory-authorized dealer but not a problem as repair completed before grass started growing. No more problems with oil in the 2015 mowing season. Still working Spring 2016.

Description of Work: Brought a string trimmer in for warranty repair since they were listed as an authorized repair center. Upon arrival, the owner proceeded to tell me how much he hates doing warranty work for TroyBilt equipment. I left the trimmer with him and he stated it would be 1-2 weeks for it to be repaired. | |4 weeks later, I attempted to call to check on the status. I was unable to get through the first 5 times that I called due to them not answering the phone, and their voicemail box being full. Once I got through a few days later, they said they were still waiting to hear back from TroyBilt and would try again on Thursday. I requested a call back by the end of the week to keep me up to date with the status. I never received a call. | |A couple more weeks go by and I attempt to contact them again. I get the same story that they are trying to get in touch with TroyBilt and haven't heard yet. I asked if I should call them directly and they said it wouldn't do any good. Since it had been 7 weeks at this point, I went ahead and called TroyBilt and spoke to a customer service agent. I explained the issue and they said they would contact the SP to see what the hold up was. They also were unable to reach them for a day due to them not answering their phones. The agent then called me the next day and said the SP should be contacting me and would provide me the paperwork required to take the broken unit back to Lowes and get a replacement. | |When I went to pick up the unit, no apology was given and the only "paperwork" that was given to me was a quote for repair. When I provided this information to Lowes, they were unable to do anything since a return authorization was never given. I proceeded to call TroyBilt again and they are going to issue me a refund on the unit.

I took the Airens back to Canary Outdoor on April 6th and store manager Jim Williams told me there was nothing he could do and that they all made that noise. I agreed to keep the snow blower if Mr. Williams would get me a contact confirmation number with Airens for my compact 24 and I would deal with the manufacturer myself since all of the compact 24 models made that noise. Mr. Williams took down my name and number and said he would be in touch. I did not hear from Mr. Williams for almost two months so I stopped by June 2nd to ask about why he had not been in touch with me. He said he did not know who I was and had no idea why I was there. I decided to talk to his wife who works in the office and she did not like the fact that I was finished dealing with her husband but did call Airens. They told her that the noise just needed a small adjustment to the idler pulley of 1/4 to 3/16 of an inch to make the noise go away but there was no guarantee that the adjustment would fix the problem. I then asked Jim Williams why he told me that all the Airens compact 24 models made that noise and there was nothing that could be done about it. He just walked away and would not talk to me. I can make the adjustment myself and would like everyone to know that service after the sale is not Canary Outdoors strong suit.
Description of Work: Jim Williams at Canary Outdoor sold me an Airens compact 24 snow blower in the fall of 2014. I was able to use it two times last winter but there was a strange noise when I engaged the snow auger. The snow blower worked great but the strange sound was concerning because it was brand new and made the noise right from the start. I wish I would have engaged the auger before I took it home as all sales are final.

My self-propelled lawn mower would not start. Checked out the reviews for Canary's on Angie's list and decided to try them out. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. I decide to have them change the oil and sharpen the blade. Since it was their peak season they said it would be a week and would cost about $100 depending on the trouble. Two days later it was fixed and cost $83. Works great! They will be getting more of my business in the future.

Description of Work: Took a veteran Toro self-propelled lawn mower to them to get it ready for spring. They changed oil, sharpened blade, cleaned air cleaner, and changed spark plug. Very prompt and friendly service.

I had researched snowblowers and had decided on the brand. Last year I had sold my snowthrower, right before our big snows, because it was too big and heavy for me. I needed a 2-stage for some of my area is gravel. Airens had a compact 22 that just fit me. I went to different dealers and I was treated the best at Canary on Southport Rd. From the time I arrived until I paid for my purchase, I was treated with respect. I got a thorough education by the woman in the showroom (sorry can't remember her name) and felt comfortable that she was not just trying to make a sale. She was attentive and engaging. She pointed out a warranty extension that was available at no charger until the end of the month. As I was checking out, I was told that they would set up the machine and adjust it before I picked it up. Then, they offered to deliver it for a very small fee. I took them up on that and was very pleased when it arrived at my home. The man who delivered it went over the features, started it up and put it where I wanted it. I was disappointed there was no snow for him to try it out, but I'm sure that will come. This was one of the most stress free purchases I have made. I heartily recommend them for purchases and repair!

I Contacted this provider on July 9th. I needed my mower picked up for repair and Jim came out the next day. He took a quick look at it and we knew it had to go to his shop for a closer look. The cost for pickup and return delivery was 20.00 each way. I thought that was reasonable, as I live out towards Mooresville. Jim took the time to answer questions I had and we talked about mowers and engines for awhile Two weeks later Jim called me back and and explained what was wrong with the mower engine and what he did to fix it. Turns out it had a stuck engine valve which resulted in lack of compression. He replaced the valve and push rod , readjusted the timing and it was good to go. He was ready to return it that day, but I asked him if he would sharpen the blades while he had it there and he said okay and that he would bring the mower back the following day. Blade sharpening was 10.00 dollars each. Again I think that's very reasonable. I believe Canary dealt with me fairly and honestly. Didn't try to inflate the repair cost by telling me I had to replace a lot of things that weren't the problem. I would recommend Canary Outdoor Power Equipment Sales and repairs highly to anyone. As long as they continue to provide the great service and reasonable prices, they will be my choice for service repair. And when the time comes that I replace my mower, they will be the first place I look.
