It went really well. The price was very reasonable and the quality was good. I am very pleased with the end product.

Overall we did not have a good experience with Mike Cates. First of all Mike was very unresponsive throughout the entire process. Secondly we had very specific discussions about where we wanted the deck, the size, etc. We knew Mike was building the deck a certain week and at the end of the week we noticed that Mike and his team built the deck in the completely wrong place. We told them it was not sufficient and that it had to be done over. It was modified to a point to meet our satisfaction however it was a frustrating process to get to that point.

I HIRED HIM WHEN I WAS LIVING OUT OF TOWN. THE ESTIMATE HE GAVE ME INCLUDED A DECK IN WHICH HE DID NOT HAVE TO BUILD. MY HOME BUILDER BUILT THE DECK. HE WAS TO START THE WORK IN TWO WEEKS BUT HE DID NOT START THE WORK UNTIL TWO MONTHS LATER. THE WORK WAS DONE BY SUB CONTRACTORS. ONLY WHEN I THREATEN TO FIRE HIM DID I GET ANY TYPE OF RESPONSE. PEOPLE ON HIS CREW SHOWED UP AT 4 PM WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO BE OUT AT 9-10 AM. THE ROOFERS DID NOT USE THE RIGHT SIZE NAILS SO EXTENSIVE WORK NEEDED TO BE DONE TO HIDE THE NAILS POKING OUT FROM THE CEILING. THE SUB CONTRACTOR DOUG WAS AFFABLE GENTLEMEN BUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
