purchased an Angie's List Deal for chimney cleaning and inspection, arrived when indicated was professional, courteous and chimney was cleaned without issue - was unable to provide a screen cover for the chimney (we have previously had visits from squirrels and birds) - overall pleased with service, no further worries regarding safety of chimney

Excellent experience. I assumed this was a popular purchase so I wasn't surprised to hear their schedule was full for a week. The day of the appointment, Tim called and said they would be running late. He ended up performing the services the day of the appointment- but each time he knew he wasn't going to make the appointment time, he called to let me know. It was not a problem whatsoever that he made it later than the original scheduled time because he let me know in advance and was so polite and apologetic about it. My husband let him and his partner in and they went to work covering the floors and the area around our chimney. When I saw them, Tim was so far in our chimney, I could only see his legs! When they were finished, they cleaned up so well- the only trace of them was our super clean chimney. We were worried they would tell us our chimney wouldn't be safe to use because an addition was recently built on the other side of the chimney, but they said it was safe and even recommended Angie's List to find the right kind of wood to use. Tim stayed after and answered all of our questions, did a great job, and we will definitely use them again.

They did a great job. I bought the coupon online from Angie’s list and because I have a regular masonry chimney, the price was a little bit more. It was $125 for their services. I wasn’t here when they did the job but my husband was, and he said that they were delightful. I think they were good overall because my husband would have told me if they weren’t. I will use their services again in the future if I needed to.

It was a great experience! Tim fit me in really soon after purchasing the deal, which is hard since it was a popular one, but very appreciated on my end! He gave me a time frame (9-9:30) and showed up around 9:20. Tim's sister put down tarps to protect our floors which was nice. They were friendly and professional. I felt comfortable having them in my home and would definitely use Tim again for my chimney needs. The area was left cleaner than when they arrived and they helped me figure out how to open the flue since it was a tricky one. We burned our first fire last night with no issues and look forward to using it the rest of the winter! Thanks again, Tim!

Everything was wonderful. He did call me at 12:40 to tell me he was running late when we had an appointment at 12. His service was very good and very thorough.

Excellent all the way around. Communicative on the phone during estimating and scheduling. Great communication during the visit as I explained my concerns and asked questions. They were thorough in covering things and cleaning up. They provided good advice on how I can help keep things maintained. Also great customer service - even though they provided service past the "big deal" date on Angie's List, they were willing to honor the deal. Very satisified, and will use again.

Purchased a Big Deal for chimney sweep with inspection. Everything went great. We had not had a chimney sweep in quite a long time and it was very overdue. They were very prompt and responsive in setting the appointment and willing to work around my wife and I's busy work schedule. Tim Anderson is the owner and came to do the work himself. He called the day of as a reminder of the appointment and they were in and out in no time. Couldn't be happier.

Tim Anderson, owner and his sister called five minutes before arrival. They laid down a protective cover, proceeded to clean and evaluate the ntire fireplace and chimney. They removed a wasps nest and even cleaned and repaired the metal curtain so it now slides easily in its track. They cleaned up immaculately after themselves, even washing the glass door. Jim checked the heater/fan mechanism and gave me some pointers on using it as well.. I engaged them through a special offer and this was a GREAT value. The dogs really liked them, too!

The owner and aide are very courteous and conscientious. He called me to ask questions about the chimney, remind me of the appointment, and kept me abreast when his arrival was delayed. The two laid tarps from my front door to the chimney, and were very careful not to stir up dust (which is inevitable), and cleaned up afterward. They explained to me the work to be done. They were very polite. I would use them again.

Overall, this was a good experience. They were very professional and punctual and worth the price we paid for this service from The Big Deal. I have already recommended their services to a co-worker and have several of their business cards I will be handing out to those interested in a chimney sweep.

2-people team came on the dot to clean out our chimney. took a total of 45 minutes. cleaned it out and explained as to how much dirty they found it. also gave suggestions on what kind of log would build up least soot. Gave recommendations on how often my chimney needs to be cleaned.

Very knowledgable, friendly and quick. I was very satisfied with their work, and would recommend them.

Every time we have used this company we have been totally pleased with the professionalism of their work. They have scheduled the work in a timely manner, shown up on time, and been extremely thorough in their work. On top of that, the workers are friendly and polite.

I will definately use this company again and will refer them to family, friends, and neighbors. AND, he offers other services too: water proofing, sealing, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, yard maintenance, and minor home repairs. WooHoo!

We hired C & A Chimney Sweep to inspect and clean one chimney with two flues on our recently purchased home. After leaving a message, we received a timely response to discuss services and cost. We scheduled an appointment for five days later. They were available to perform the service on a Saturday, which worked best for our schedule. They arrived on time and began the job right away. They made sure to cover any surface that they would be walking on with canvas covers. Tim was very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information regarding the logs we should use in one fireplace and the maintenance of the gas fireplace. He and his sister did a great job cleaning every part of each fireplace. He even offered to look into finding the correct part that we need for one of our dampers. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and we will definitely use them again in the future.

Bought the deal as an Angie's List Big Deal. It was a great price for an important service. With winter coming we wanted to be sure our chimney was clean and safe. I scheduled the appointment through email and got a quick response. I had to re-schedule the appointment due to a conflict in my schedule and they were very accommodating. Everything was done on time and neatly. Contractor was friendly and talkative. The whole thing took about 1.5 hours. No issues!

He showed up with his truck and did an excellent job. He was finished in 20 minutes. He was also very friendly. I would definately be willing to call him in the future. He is knows what he is doing and does it quickly.

Tim was very nice. he came out the same week i called. he did a very good job and cleaned up after himself. It was an overall excellent service.

Tim & Stephanie were terrific! He was able to answer my list of questions regarding my fireplace. They were pleasant, thorough, knowledgable & treated my home with "kid gloves". Although they were a bit late Tim did call well before the time they were suppose to arrive to let me know they were on their way. I really appreciated that & therefore gave them an A for punctuality. I highly recommend C & A Chimney Sweep & plan on using them again next year.

Tim and Stephanie arrived on time and completed the front yard in 90 minutes. Good job! They even removed a dead bush and trimmed ground cover. I am pleased with this company and now I am not embarrassed of my front yard.

Unfortunately it was a challenge. Firstly the appointment was delayed several times because of the heat. On the day of the appointment which was to be 9.30am but they did not show up until around 3pm. Again the heat was blamed. When they arrived, they looked exhausted and not ready to work. The gentleman was not wearing a hat and I was worried he would have heat stroke as he was red and sweaty so I loaned him a hat to keep the sun off his head. I had paid for 4 hours on the Big Deal. They worked around 3 hours, did not get the weeds in the side yard. They then said they could not go on because of the heat and that the would be back to finish. Have not seen them since. I do sympathize because it was incredibly hot and humid. However, if they had showed up at the prearranged appointment time in the morning, it would not have been such as issue. The work they did do they did well even though it was obvious this was not their main area of expertise . I might try them again, if I could be assured the next experience would be better than the first.
