It is very important when hiring anyone for a certain period of hours to do your planning ahead of time. Know exactly what you want them to accomplish. I had an item list in the order of importance so laying out the work to Tim Anderson, the owner, was quick and straightforward. Everything went well as a result.

This is the first time that I had used this company, and I will definitely use them again. They did everything that I needed to get done in the yard. They were punctual, courteous and accomplished everything in a timely manner. They also cleaned up completely, which I truly appreciate. I definitely recommend this company.

They arrived ready to work even though the weather was a little "iffy"...They asked me what I wanted done...everything I wanted to have done they did, very well...

The work done by C&A was excellent. The part over which they had little or no control was the delivery of the mulch. That was done the Saturday before they were to do the landscaping on Monday. For reasons that no one seems able to find out, the delivery people (Tiffany's) dumped the mulch into the middle of the driveway. They put a bill by my front door, so I know they got close enough to our doorbell, but didn't ring the bell. Leaving the mulch in the middle of the driveway was not the instruction. It caused a lot of problems. I had planned to buy a few shrubs to replace the ones being dug out, but couldn't get my car out of the garage because of the mulch pile. I phone the mulch people and told them they had to send their people back to put that pile totally on one side of the driveway. Since my husband is handicapped, I always maintain a clear path in the event emergency people need to get in. I received a phone call telling me they were not going to move the mulch, so I started digging at that pile myself. It was hot and it was humid, and the sun shines directly on our driveway. I worked on that pile for about half an hour when I started getting nauseous. So, I decided to go inside and cool off before continuing. By this time it was early afternoon. When I went back out through the garage I discovered that the young man next door had come over and started shoveling the mulch to the side of the driveway. We are blessed with good neighbors who are sometimes great neighbors. He cleared enough of the driveway so I could get the car out to run the errands. By then, it was late afternoon. As the conversations played out with Tiffany's, they told me, and they told Andersons that they were not going to move the mulch. I suggested that they deduct $50 from the bill to pay the young man who did move it. They refused. I reminded them that we have several neighbors who are aware of what they did, and may well not do business with them any more.

Great. We responded to the Angie's List Email special. We purchased six hours of garden work. Two workers showed up close to the scheduled time and both worked beyond the required minimum of 3 hours (by 20 to 30 minutes each). We asked them to edge and spread mulch and we prioritized front yard then back. They were completed both tasks for the entire front yard and then edged the entire back yard. While the mulch was laid a bit thick in the front....it looks great...as does the edging!! The individuals from C&A were friendly, polite and efficient!! We will definitely use them again.

They were awesome! He cleaned a very old chimney that probably hadn't been swept in 15 years. He also spent a lot of extra time chipping away some concrete that a sloppy handman let fall through the chimney and onto the flu. Great service, very clean, friendly...would definitely recommend!

Purchased one of the Big Deals ($99 for 3 Man Hours of Professional Lawn and Yard Work Service!). It was extremely difficult getting in touch with them (vm full and took several days to return calls)...seemed like they were really unprepared for the volume of users who purchased the big deal. We asked them to trim a hedge that was in sore need of trimming. The owner and helper (I think his sister or relative) came with to help. They had just purchased a hedge trimmer and actually didn't know how to use it. He did have the courtesy to tell us we would not be charged for the time it took for them to read the manual. They seemed extremely put out about cleaning up after themselves and would not take trimmings away and begrudgingly piled the debris in the backyard. Just didn't seem like lawn/yard work was really their specialty.

This company and it's employees were quick to respond to my request. They showed up very promptly and did an excellent job. They were very courteous and very consistent about asking me before making any decisions we had not discussed. They even went over and beyond in cleaning out a small area on my patio. They finished everything in the time frame we agreed.

I needed a LOT of mulching in multiple gardens in the front and back yards. Also, I'm on a corner lot and needed the sidewalk edged across the front and down the side. This was over 400 feet of edging! Tim and his crew set up the appointment well in advance, they called the night before to confirm details, and called again before arriving. Very professional! They arrived on time and walked with me around the yard to make sure they understood the job. They immediately began work and continued for the entire time allotted. They completed everything on my list that I wanted done. I'm very happy with my beautiful gardens now! They look amazing! I would use these guys again in a heartbeat!

They cut down an important plant. I had gotten them to do some work and unfortunately, they hadn't paid attention clearly to my instructions, so they ended up chopping up an important plant, not just taking care of the weeds, and other things I needed taken care of. I realized they were in over their head of the job and they didn't show up the next day. I think the price was reasonable, but the quality was not good. C&A came back to make up for their previous actions by providing me 2 additional free hours of yard work. I had them plant a tree and flowers. I appreciate their willingness to work with us. Given their willingness to accept their previous mistakes and rectify the issues, I've decided to change my ratings.

They did a good job. I never did see them in person because of recent weather they came a little later when I was at work. They moved seven or eight yards of mulch in a day so they work really efficiently. While I never got to see them in person, they were always very polite on the phone.

I wasn't even home when he came, but my son was. My son reported that the man knew what he was doing, was VERY pleasant, and when I talked to him on the phone, he was most respectful.

He did everything just fine. They were polite. It was him and a helper, and they brought in a vacuum that was even quite, and I was really shocked on that. They made sure no dust or anything came out of there.

My experience was outstanding on both occasions. Tim is polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He arrived at my home in a timely manner, walked me through the work he was performing, and gave me helpful maintenance hints. I cannot adequately relate how much confidence I have in C&A except to say I'm already in the process of scheduling a third visit.

I purchased a Big Deal for $200 for 6 hours of lawn and yard work. They sent out two employees who worked extremely hard for 3 hours and did an outstanding job cleaning up my landscaping and trimming my shrubs. They carefully put all of the weeds and clippings into large trash bags that they provided and blew off all walkways so that everything looked perfect when they were done. I will definitely purchase this service again next spring if they offer another Big Deal for this price!
