C&A's Chimney Sweep And Lawn Maintenance Services, I remember my husband saying that he thought these guys were very thorough. He had to read the instructions, we had a wood burning concern, he had to read the instruction on how to take it apart and everything, but he did a really good job of taking it apart, cleaning it. And my husband was really impressed with that. This was about two years ago.

They did a great job. They didn't make a mess. They did it from the inside. Instead of going through the top and booting it all down, they pulled it all down from the top from the inside of the house.

My experience with them has been really good. He was very professional, he did a really good job. I was satisfied with his service. I intend to use them again and I recommend them to people.

I didn’t end up needing any sweeping, so we worked out a deal that he came back and did landscape cleanup for the amount of the Big Deal that I purchased. He was very nice when he discovered that I didn’t need a chimney sweep. He did quite well with my lawn service.

I hadn't had the chimney cleaned, swept, and inspected since I bought my condo, so I called in a professional. These guys were great. The chimney was swept and ready for the winter months in less than an hour. They were careful to not track anything around the house and left the living room cleaner than when they arrived.

I learned a chimney sweep was needed to do the job via the Internet and then found C&A via Angie's list. I called on Saturday and left a voice message. They called back that same day (they were attending a chimney sweep seminar).. They worked us into the schedule on Wednesday evening, the day before our company was to arrive. Tim arrived, diagnosed and fixed the problem and cleaned the chimney. He checked a second fireplace where we had a concern at no charge. The work was very clean and tarps were laid down over the floors from the entry to the work area. While attending to the damper problem he commented on some dark spotting on stonework extending from the base of the fireplace. We had assumed there was nothing to be done about it as we had not found anything to remove it and were afraid of staining the stone with a solvent. He told us of a product that was only available over the Internet and showed us how well it worked. He sold us a bottle of it at a discounted price and I used it to clean the stonework Thursday morning before our company arrived. We are very pleased with the results.

It went very well. I thought I was going to have to pay extra but he said I didn't have to. I appreciated the honesty. He cleaned up well.

Tim was punctual, prepared and did exactly what he said he would do. He cleaned the chimney, and shared his assessment that all the elements of our chimney (incl. flue, damper and tiles) were in surprisingly good condition for our 50 year old home. He also made recommendations concerning the replacement of the fan on the blower attached to our fireplace. (He does not perform such service himself, but advised how it might be accomplished in an economic manner). He was very attentive to cleanliness - laying tarps to protect our floors and thoroughly cleaning the area around the fireplace (including the glass on the fireplace door). The $120 charge included a $90 coupon I purchased from Angie's List plus the additional $30 charge for sweeping a tile-lined chimney. I would certainly request his services again. He also performs landscaping services for a reasonable fee, and I will be inclined to contact in that regard as the need arises.

I arranged for C&A to perform the cleaning and inspection through their Angie's list Big Deal special for $99. There was a $30 sur-charge for the traditional wood-burning fireplace (it was identified in the details of the Big Deal coupon). I called to make the appointment in the early spring when they were booked with tree trimming services and was asked if I could wait until June. This was acceptable as we do not use the fireplace that often and they would honor the Big Deal price even though the actual service date was after it had expired.The team of two arrived on time and went to work quickly. They covered their shoes and the floor to avoid tracking soot. They used vacuum and wire brushes to clean. Watching the sweep crawl inside the firebox to get to all the surfaces cleaned, I was glad I wasn't trying to do it myself. It was worth the extra $30. They did a thorough job and cleaned the glass doors when they were through. After looking it over, I was told that the fireplace was in good condition and no additional repairs were needed. I also inquired about the condition of my chimney. He said it was in good condition for its age and no immediate repairs would be needed. I inquired further due to concerns with some chipping and weathering I had noticed. During the discussion I mentioned that I do like to do what I can myself and I was provided with some do-it-yourself suggestions to help it last longer. Overall, a very pleasant and positive experience and a clean fireplace and house.

Tim provided excellent service at a great price. He was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He called me to let me know that he would be a few minutes late, and was very professional and tidy. I would recommend this company to others!

Company arrived on time and were able to complete even more yard work than I had hoped.

He was quick to respond to set up an appointment, then was professional in laying down clothes to keep the floor clean. He also explained that it is a dust free cleaning with nothing flying around. He finished in about 20 minutes, explained how the dust was mostly from synthetic logs, and asked how often we will be burning. He then told us the appropriate number of times we should burn until his services are needed again! He also inspected the chimney and found no issues. Overall, it was a fantastic learning and cleaning experience.

Great; Tim went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with the work and Angie's List Big Deal I had purchased.. I paid extra (above what he was going to charge) for the extra time he and his crew put in; and he offered to mulch (labor) for free. He estimated the mulch work would take about an hour; again, that is hours less than it took me last year by myself so I will definitely hire them to come back in the future. Very nice to work with.

C&A arrived at the agreed upon time. They were very professional, personable and completed the work timely. We had not cleaned our chimneys for a few years and C&A took some time to inspect the chimneys for us. We will certainly use them again!

Very well, very tidy, gave good advice

The three-person crew arrived on time. They did a good job at rakig and bagging leaves, but were a bit slower than expected. I somehow thought a younger crew would do jobs like this. I believe it might have been the owner of C&J plus a lady and another gentleman. They worked a bit longer than the paid 3 hours. They bagged up the leaves using their own bags They also trimmed some hedges and cut down a few small overgrown bushes in the back as requested. Although this was sold as a fall clean-up, they did not have a lawn mower so were unable to trim up any lawn areas. My daughter had recently moved to this location and didn't have a mower at the time, so was hoping they would mow the front after leaf removal. All-in-all they did an honest 3 hours work.

Tim came to my home and got right to work. He cleared several flower beds and an over grown play ground area for me. As well as, removing and replanting some shrubs. I added on to the project when I saw how great the area looked after he was done.

Tim did a great job. He was pleasant and professional on the phone, and was able to fit the job into his schedule within just a couple of days. He arrived on time, brought in his equipment, and explained what he was going to do. In addition to cleaning the chimney, he swept out and shop-vac'd the firebox, and lubricated the sliding screen panels so they would open and close smoothly. He also made sure there was no mess from the process, and even gave me some safety/energy saving tips on handling the damper (I've never had a wood-burning fireplace before, so was clueless). He found the fireplace to be in good working order, but told me about some potential maintenance issues/options to consider down the road (in other words, he didn't try to sell me up on anything). I would recommend Tim to anyone needing their chimney cleaned and inspected. Thanks Tim!

They were great in and out very quickly.

They did a very good job and they were clean. They informed us that we needed a cover for our chimney because we had a bird living in there. They cleaned the insert and did not charge extra for that service. They did everything they said they would. They also cleaned the glass on the gas fire place and it now sparkles.

The service was very good. They were one time and professional.
