C & A's Chimney Sweep & Lawn Maintenance Services

The service provider arrived on time and was excellent at communicating with me. He provided clear details on what he was seeing in the fireplace and how to maintain it throughout the life of our home. He also inspected our chimney and installed a new chimney cap. He did a fantastic job and I have no complaints. He did attempt to install a new damper for us, however, that was unsuccessful but it was an additional job we requested and not apart of the original scope of the work.

It was fine. Everything went fine. Nothing stood out one way or the other.

We contacted Tim & Sheri Anderson to have our gas fireplace cleaned since no one had used it for years prior to us purchasing our home. Tim was very friendly and helped show my husband the basics of a gas fireplace (both of us grew up with wood-burning) and was also able to provide us with a free key to turn on the gas. We sadly didn't have the actual logs at the time of service or else Tim would have been able to install those as well. Once we were able to purchase our logs, they were booked up until the end of December unfortunately. Sheri was very responsive though and even offered to walk us through installing the logs ourselves over the phone since they didn't have availability, but we wanted a professional to do it since it involved the gas line, so we used another company to install the logs.

tPurchased this deal for son & daughter-in-law as a gift. They report that C&A charged them an extra $35.00 for "type" of chimney/fireplace they have. They have a regular chimney & fireplace with glass doors but nothing special. They left without emptying the ash trap and son & daughter-in-law were disappointed.

Went great, this is at a property I rent out and the tenants were very happy with the work and that everything was clean when he was done.

This was the first time I'd ever had my chimney cleaned, and the two-man crew was prompt, efficient and thorough. My chimney -- as much of it that I could see -- look cleaner than I'd ever seen it when they were done. In addition to the cleaning, the owner gave me his assessment of the quality of my chimney and its components and gave the exterior a visual inspection. The owner also talked a bit about chimney care, providing helpful information and tips on future upkeep and maintenance. We also talked a bit about tuck-pointing, which my chimney needs. I feel bad giving a B grade for responsiveness, but I bought the service through an Angie's List offer and made first contact to schedule an appointment on Oct. 5, and the earliest service date the appointment person could get me was Nov. 18, and I have a very flexible schedule. To compensate for the long wait between purchase and service, on the day of the service the owner waived a $35 surcharge that he said he usually applies in cleanings of masonry chimneys. While I don't recall the surcharge being mentioned in the Angie's List offer (but I admit that I could have missed it or simply forgotten about it in the weeks between the purchase and appointment), I thought the waiver was a fair, thoughtful gesture on his part. He did mention that the period leading up to the cold weather season is a busy time of year for his business and suggested scheduling future cleanings in spring or summer for shorter waits.

He did his job in a professional manor. Cleaned up after self. Discussed all concerns was very helpful. Would hire again.

They arrived on time and were propt in service. Prompt responses made scheduling easy and they agreed to service after hours to accommodate our needs. Work was well done. Would recommend them!

The company said they could not service my area after I already bought the deal.

We purchased the deal from C&A's Chimney Sweep And Lawn Maintenance Services to have our chimney swept. Withing 24 hours after purchasing the deal, we were contacted by the company to schedule our appointment. Our scheduled appointment date was December 8, 2014, which was the earliest appointment available. Based on the waiting time, we contacted a different company that was able to come out same day and provide the chimney sweep service. As a result, we no longer need the deal. We appreciate the timely communication with the company; unfortunately, they were not able to provide the service within a time period we were wanting.

Never returned calls or emails to schedule. Good price and reviews but just cant answer their phone or reply to email.

I set up an appointment with the company via email to get my chimney cleaned. The company representative gave me the time window of noon - 2pm on Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, the company did not show up during the time window, a voice mail to the company did not get answered neither did I get an email attempting to explain the no-show. There are enough other companies out there to chose from.

It went well. I will definitely call this provider again.

It was excellent! This guy was efficient and really clean. He came out and was flexible in the time we met because he really wanted my business. He was very respectful of my belonging and the way my home looks. Made special precautions to avoid getting anything dirty. I would recommend this company in the future to anyone.

Contacted the company and they returned my call. Lady informed me they were very busy and they would call me back to schedule. I never heard from them again.

They did a wonderful. They were polite and very helpful. They also provided me with tips if I were to burn my fireplace.

I purchased the deal, I emailed the company they responded back and said they were booked until the middle of December. I need a chimney sweep asap, this is a new house for me and I am unable to use fireplace until checked and clean so I need to call another company.

They were amazing! Very friendly and punctual (in fact they were early and called in advance to let me know.). They explained everything they were doing, what they were looking for and gave us some tips on how to extend the life of our fireplace and chimney and how to keep it clean. They covered their working area and cleaned up everything (including wiping down my entire fireplace. It looked better than it did when they got here). Will definitely call on them for all our fireplace and chimney needs in the future.

It went very well. The team was on time and professional. They finished in a timely manner and gave me tips on how to care for my flower beds.

They did a great job. He made sure to explain to me what he was doing and why. Since this is our first home, he took the time to show me how to use the gas starter and the best way to get fires going. Very friendly, professional, and would definitely recommend them to others.

This is the second time we've had the company out to do yard maintenance. They are great about scheduling and calling ahead and also in the work and clean up. The beads look great and the was bagged to make it easy for collection. They found, removed, and sprayed poison ivy, too. We'll be calling again next year.
