I hired him to clean my chimney in time for the holidays. Cleaning was good. They cleaned up their work area very well. Only small issue I had is that he asked if he could come earlier than the original window which was fine. Then called later and asked if he could come during the original window. Other than that, no problems. I will use them again.

I used them more than once. They did the chimney sweep and inspection the first time, then came back and did my landscaping. My lot is .61 acres and has a house on it. They did a good job. I didn’t experience any issues but there was some issue with scheduling because it was the rainy issues or something. That is not their fault. They did their best they could to make up for that. I’m still happy with the scheduling.

The owner e-mailed me after I purchased a coupon off of Angie's list. We agreed upon service without about 2-3 weeks out from the date of purchase. He contacted me by phone prior to the appointment to confirm time and location. He also used this call to ask me about the construction of my home and chimney to get a better idea of cleaning needs. He arrived promptly and was thorough and professional. He of course used drop cloths and spoke to my wife about the service. The fireplace has not looked better and we have had prior cleanings from other companies. Most important was his advice on cleaning the glass on the doors covering the fireplace insert. These doors were terribly soiled and the prior homeowners probably never cleaned them in all the years since the home was build. We were almost ready to get rid of the cover all together, but after he cleaned it and recommended future care, it looked new again. Happy with the service, care and professionalism. We would use this company again.

He was very aware of his surroundings and was very caureful when bringing his equipment in and out of the house. He did a great job putting down clean tarps to make sure the equipment wouldn't leave dirt behind. He accurately quoted cost and time.

He was excellent with speed and quality. Around the fireplace was cleaner than before he came. We felt like we really had value for the price. Great job.

The original appointment went okay. They were late getting here when they came. When I called them they were willing to come out in a few days and they wanted to charge me to do an inspection. They had just cleaned my chimney and I found that deplorable. I told them not to worry about coming back out so I will hire someone else for the inspection. I am not going to do business with them. I decided that was outrageous. The price was fine.

With this being my 1st house I wasn?t 100% sure on what to expect on getting the chimney cleaned and inspected. This Service Provider made this experience worth every penny. He was very informative, professional and courteous. I would highly recommend using this Service Provider and I will for sure continue to use them.

The price ended up being a few hundred bucks, but that's because we added a new chimney cap on. The general sweep was maybe around $100 or maybe a little less. They were pretty timely, organized and clean. We were pretty happy with the service.

Tim was absolutely great to work with. We tried to schedule late in the season and he was very accommodating. He got to us as quickly as possible. He arrived on time and was great to talk with. He explained the process, what to expect, and the results very clearly so even I could understand! He explained how we can best maintain our fireplace. It was okay, I wasn't real confident in the gentleman's experience or expertise. I had purchased the big deal for $109, and there weren't additional charges. I have had the chimney swept many times, and they were in and out of here the quickest of any times that I have had it done. This made me wonder how well they did. This was the first time I used them. They were pretty good about getting in here. The price was okay, I got what I paid.

They put down blankets on the floor before they even looked at the chimney! They swept out my chimney and did a thorough inspection of it to make sure that there would be no possible fire incidents when I used my fire place! After they cleaned out my chimney they cleaned up all of their tools along with any excess mess that the chimney produced and were on their way! They did an outstanding job! The man was on time. Very nice and professional. He protected the floor from the entrance to the chimney, and took the time answering my husband's questions... We could not have asked for a better service. We will call them again next time for sure!

We purchased a deal from Angie's List for $119. There was a disclaimer that masonry & gas inserts had an additional charge, so I was prepared to pay a little more, and I did. They scheduled the appointment, and I was called when they were about 10 minutes away. The assistant came in and prepped the area, putting down drapes and setting up the vacuum device. Then Tim came in and did most of the work. We have an 87-year-old house and the knob to open our flue was not working well. Tim tried to adjust it, and eventually needed some lubricant from us in order to get it to function better. I believe he left some of the chimney sweeping job to his assistant. They cleaned up, and left. A couple of weeks later, my husband was trying to adjust the flue. He realized that the mechanism needed to be replaced. He felt that C&A's should have fixed it while they were here, but I explained that we had only purchased the chimney sweep and inspection, not repair of a faulty mechanism. While he was taking the mechanism apart, he looked up the chimney with the flashlight, and realized that there were still lots of sticks & twigs in the chimney. I called C&A's the next day to have them come back out and finish the job. When the owner's wife called back, she tried to say that the sticks were most likely from squirrels or other rodents pushing things in (despite our chimney cap and in less than 2 weeks since the job was done) because they had never had this complaint before. She spoke with her husband, and he was nice enough to come out the next day, but explained there might be an additional chanrge. Sure enough, the chimney cap was in place, and there was still a bunch of stuff in our chimney. He worked for a good 30 additional minutes clearing the obstruction. The implied explanation was that the assistant must have been the one who didn't complete the job in the first place. Instead of waiting another month for Tim to replace the flue mechanism, my husband ordered parts on line, and got the knob replaced in less than a week. (I am lucky that I am married to someone handy enough to do this repair himself) While they got the job done finally, I was disappointed in the response to my complaint about the job. I know it is hard to diagnose a problem over the phone, but I sure didn't get the feeling that "the Customer is always right"

Tim arrived on time and discussed with me some of the issues that we were having. He gave me some helpful tips about fireplace maintenance and usage and then got to work right away. The process was totally clean and pain-free - the only thing I needed to do to prepare was to remove the Christmas stockings from our mantle. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and we will definitely be using C&A again. Outstanding service!

They were very professional from the beginning to the end. Laid down tarps in the house and didn't make a mess at all. He stayed after the work was finished to talk to my husband and I about ways to help our fires, how often we should get the fireplace cleaned, etc. Very helpful, would recommend C&A to anyone, and we'll be using them for our next chimney sweep in a few years!

The contractor did a fine job and no complaints with his work. My biggest complaint is getting hit with a $35.00 surcharge because of the type of fireplace I have. The "Deal" as shown on Angie's List advertisement does indeed indicate that a $35 surcharge does apply and I just missed seeing that when I purchased this "deal". I would suggest to AL that perhaps bolder print could be used on advertisements which additional surcharges may be applied. $35.00 will not break my bank, but it remains as a reminder to read all the fine print on any "deal" which is advertised on AL.
