Description of Work: I called to make an appt to have alot of yard debris removed. They were very prompt in returning my call. When I explained what I needed, they said they did not provide that service but that I could get a refund from Angie's List. After hanging up, they called right back to say Angie's List had a Big Deal on right now providing the service I needed. They were very friendly, polite, and helpful.

The provider stated that he would contact me again to reschedule. I waited for 1 month, was contacted by Angie's List about feedback who volunteered to contact provider. No response after call from Angie's List or me (as recently as June 2nd). Finally decided that refund was only way to proceed.

Description of Work: After emailing the company, they sent me a response fairly quickly. We scheduled a time for them to come out when they were in my neighborhood. I took the morning off work as they were supposed to arrive between 9-11am. They were running behind and called me in the morning to tell me that they were going to make it between 1-3pm so I took the rest of the day off. At 3:10pm I called them and since it was raining they couldn't come out to do the lawn clean up. They apologized and I asked if I could just get a refund since I couldn't take off another day to schedule the work. Wish they could have done the job, but I'm glad they are able to refund my money.

Description of Work: I received email regarding their big deal on landscaping/yard clean up. I was interested and prior to purchasing the big deal I contacted the provider and spoke with Tim. Very nice guy and felt comfortable and excited about getting our back porch area at my townhouse finally into shape and he even let me schedule a time prior to paying for the big deal. I purchased the big deal and emailed them the coupon code. No reply or acknowledgement of email. So we were all set and I contacted them by phone again as I had a work assignment come up on the date i had scheduled adn left a message for them to contact me. I was sure they were busy so gave it a few days but still no email or phonecall. I tried calling again but no answer and decided not to leave a voicemail. So Thursday came and I was not sure if they were still coming or not. My daughter was at the house all day and nobody came knocking and still no communication from the provider. I feel now uneasy continuing with this provider and that is when i contacted customer service at Angie's List and spoke to Seth. Seth was very pleasant and sorry to hear i was having this problem. Seth setup the refund email and explained what to expect for it be processed. Regarding this case if just one call had been made or I received an email the story would be different and I understand when a small business gets busy sometimes it is difficult but when no communication is attempted I feel the small business is indifferent to my needs and I should probably take my money elsewhere. thanks for the time to let you know how this went and why i would like to be refunded. I will review other grounds keepers in our area using your service and try again.

Description of Work: They did a very good job. They were very clean in doing the work. They laid down runners in our home from the garage to the basement where the fireplace was located. They did an excellent job of cleaning the chimney and taking care of any oders that remained after the cleaning. I will use them again.

Description of Work: I saw their "Big Deal" offering and ordered 3/20/13. After ordering, I called to verify that they would be able to do the work. They indicated that my request was outside the scope of work they were able to do. They were very polite and suggested I contact Angie's List to get charge removed--which I did today.

Description of Work: I called them on 2/28/13 after setting up the deal. Did not receive a call back for apx. 3 days and then was @ 8:30pm. The resulting work date from that phone call did not happen, due to weather the best I can remember. Time passed and passed with no call from them, so I called and set up a work date for 3/20/13 for 1pm. Noone showed up or called. So after 1 hour I called them and he said he could not come because it was too cold. Said he was going to call me but just had not gotten to it yet. (This was an hour after the appmt. time) It was cold but, sun shiny. I told him I would have appreciated a call from him, as it was inconvient to have been kept waiting with no notice from him. I then called your office and reported this. I feel the man is unprofessional and not really interested in fulfilling his company's customer service responsibilities. As sloppy as his customer service skills are, it would most likely be a disappointment if he had done the actual work. I was tired of dealing with him and had lost respect for the man and his company. This is in no way a reflection on Angie's List. I have had other Big Deals with you. I hope to be ordering other Big Deals as they come up and the service is needed. Thank you for the refund on this particular service.

Description of Work: Three crew members arrived and laid down a tarp on the floor to protect it from dirt. Then they attacked the chimney that has not been cleaned for over 20 years. Not a speck of dirt was left on my freshly cleaned carpet. They did a fantastic job in less than 2 hrs. I will have them back in a couple of years. Well done!

Description of Work: The owner cleared the leaves from my roof, gutters, grassy part of my yard, drive way and rocky landscape very well. I was very pleased. Much of my yard is in ground cover and the helper he had with him did not dig out the leaves from the ground cover very well. However, overall I was pleased.
