Tim is Certified and specializes in Chimney Liner and Chimney Sweep through CSIA (Chimney Saftey Institute of American - #7380). He is also a Master Gardener. C&A's Chimney Sweep and Lawn Maintenance Services is a sole-proprietor company. The company is insured. I am willing to travel as far as 30 minutes (without travel cost) away from my place of business.

Description of Work: They gave us a range of time to expect them on the appointed day; however they did not show up. We gave them a call about an hour after they were to be at the house, and they said they were not able to arrive within that window of time due to being so busy. (But they also did not call to advise us of that.) They said they could still come that day, but it would be after 5 p.m. We said that would be fine. Once the two young men arrived, they got right to work cleaning the chimney from its location in the front room. We were disappointed that they did not get up on the roof, as we wanted to know if one of the chimney caps that had fallen over could be righted. Looking at it from the ground he did say that it looked like it was broken (which it was and another company came to fix/replace it). After they finished and left, we got a phone call from the owner saying that we would need to pay the surcharge mentioned in the fine print due to it being a masonry chimney. We paid the surcharge the next day.

Description of Work: Tim cleaned my chimney, made sure he laid a large tarp down on the hearth and carpet first. He used a huge sweeper during the service to avoid any mess and there wasn't any. He was informative and told me the chimney was in good shape. His assistant lubed the track of the screen so it opened and closed smoothly. And he didn't try any hard unnecessary upsell tactics. |I will definitely be using him when I move!
