Description of Work: Good job all around by Tim and his staff. Let me know when they were coming, showed up when he said he would and for a small additional expense got my old fireplace ready to use again. We are very pleased and plan to use Tim and his team for a little tree work soon. Highly recommend!

Description of Work: C and A's performed a chimney sweep. They did an excellent job, and the owner is very professional. They showed up on time, and cleaned the area once they were finished. I will be using their service again next year and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: July 10, 2015 C&A cleaned my chimney. We have a wood burning stove and a steel chimney liner. C&A pulled the stove out, cleaned, both stove and chimney, and slid stove back in. Late October, upon first use, found it smoked horribly. November 3, 2015 C&A returned and found, when reinserting the wood stove, it had pushed the chimney liner out of the way. C&A then trimmed the liner removing a couple inches from the bottom permitting the stove to slide in underneath. We tested immediately and found, not only did it smoke badly, but flames would extend into the room when the stove door was opened. C&A then decided that the cap at the top of the chimney must be clogged and offered to come out a 3rd time. Rather than pay for a 3rd service call we hired another sweep who determined that the chimney liner had not been reconnected to the stove. Liner is just hanging free in the chimney and any alignment to the stove is purely coincidental. Furthermore, since C&A had trimmed the liner it was no longer possible to reconnect the liner to the stove. We are now spending a lot of money attempting to rectify the situation. |On the plus side C&A did clean the stove and chimney, and it looked nice, but it is now unusable until repairs can be made. I can also add that connecting liner to stove in our situation is a difficult undertaking - one that C&A was ill prepared to handle. In my opinion they never should have pulled the stove out in July without first determining how it was connected to the liner and then disconnecting it.
