 + -1 moreBuildmore Inc worked with us through a very difficult insurance process. Julie, the office manager, was easy to get a hold of and did a great job communicating with out insurance company and a very odd situation. The crew was there two days and cleaned up everything when they were done. The price was very competitive, and the roof looks great. We will be using them again in the near future for a bathroom remodel!!

Description of Work: I called BMI on a referral from my neighbor. I was pleasantly surprised to meet it's owner Jeff Reedy. Off the bat Jeff is a very likeable person who I felt had my best interest at heart. Jeff met with my insurance adjuster and helped to complete the adjusters visit. Jeff was very accommodating with my schedule and was gracious to wait until I was on vacation to re-roof my home. With only a small detailed, Jeff completed the job beyond my satisfaction. And get this... with no extras, no by the ways, and without any additional cost or overages! I have recommended BMI and Jeff to several friends, neighbors, and family members, something of which I seldom do.

 + -1 moren the beginning I was pleased with the communication of the management (owners). I did chose to upgrade some of the remodel and in the case of the garage doors they referred me to another vendor. I was very pleased with this referral. In the beginning of the project the owners lead me to believe they would be overseeing the progress. At the start there were some errors but the individual managing the siding replacement did a wonderful job. After the siding the roof was replaced. The job turned into a mess with the painters that I assumed were employees of Buildmore (thinking when they outsourced other vendors they gave referrals). It took them over 4 weeks. I had two men with one ladder painting my two story house with 2 fireplace chimneys. One day they actually came and said they were going to do the trim but forgot trim brushes. I live within 2 miles of a HomeDepot and Menards! During this 4 week period I would call the owner and instead of him calling me back (as I always had to leave a message) I would just have the painter who was not doing well come up to me and ask if I had a problem). Let me also say the only time I saw these owners managers was the day they started the job and picked up 1/2 the amount due. Nice. It took 3 months post the job to get the final paperwork complete so I could submit to the insurance company for the final check. I have owned my home 24 years and have done many remodels inside and out with new kitchens, bathrooms, finished a basement, pool etc., and never have I experienced a worse experience than this. I was pleased with the roofers, and the contractor and his workers who did the siding, and gutters. All these were professionals. I felt the contact in the office (assistant) was trying to be responsive but the leaders of this company do NOT hold my respect as professionals that are NOT responsive to their clients. This was not a small job. $37,000 is a lot of money. I will be looking to have my home repainted this spring - a cost of over $3,000.00 that I spent last fall something that needs to be done properly.

 + 0 moreThey do great work and finished it very quickly! They're excellent and I highly recommend them. Even when there was an issue with the placement of a gutter, they were very responsive. Our insurance said they had no problems working with them. We've since moved but we're thinking of having them out to look at our current roof.
Description of Work: We had them do a complete re-roof, install a sky-light, and install new gutters.

 + 2 moreAfter the hail storm hit our street, we felt like c*** in the ocean. Contractors were circling up and down our street. Cameron of BMI (Buildmore, Inc.) was walking down the street distributing folders which contained info about their company. He handed it to me and said take a look and give us a call if you'd like an estimate. No high pressure like I was getting from the other sharks (I mean, contractors). We made inquiries among friends and co-workers and was advised to join Angie's List. I had no idea it was so affordable! We decided to talk with BMI. Our neighbor said her family had used BMI in the past and were very happy. BMI was very informative and explained what would be done and answered all of my questions. They completed the job as promised. My understanding is their roofing crew has been working together for years. The men who did all of the other work (gutters, screens, siding) were also efficient and obviously knew what they were doing. We now have a better quality roof, gutters and drain spouts than what was put on by the builder less than two years ago. This is a family owned business and the owner checked in before, during and after the work was done to be sure it was all done right. I would recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreI purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It was fine. I actually had them come out and look at my roof to see if I had any leaks because I had some water marks inside the house. They did, they said that the previous work that had been done had taken care of it. That was really about it. They didn't even charge me. They showed up on time, they did a great job. They were thorough, they were right because there hasn't been any other leaks since. They did everything I asked them to do. They did the roofing work and they did a good job. In fact they did a wonderful job. I have no complaints at all. I think I got my money's worth. I did have them back out. I had them take a look to make sure that there weren't any leaks in the roof because again I had some water marks inside. And they checked and they said no it was fine. They didn't charge me the second time. The first time they came out I feel like they did a great job, I got my money's worth. The only concern that I had with what they did was they used mis-matched shingles when they did some of the work. It's on the back of the house so it's not all that noticeable, but I was just a little bit disappointed that they didn't use color matched shingles.

Description of Work: Roof replacement and gutter replacement due to hail damage. The company made several trips to my home to meet with my insurance adjuster because my adjuster did not have a tall enough ladder to get to the top of my roof. The installation went without any problems. The employees were very professional and courteous. They did an excellent clean up after they were completed. The office staff was very helpful with filing my insurance claim. I highly recommend this company.

 + 2 moreMajor hailstorm damage in June 2009. Buildmore provided very detailed quote and references. Worked well with State Farm assessor. Replaced porch screens, roof, gutters, skylight, damaged cedar siding and repainted home exterior. Only problem has been repair of recurring garage roof leak after new roof shingles were installed. Required numerous emails and phone calls. Owner is very knowledgeable and personable.
Description of Work: Replaced roof skylight. No Problems. Replaced damaged vents and gutters. No Problems. Replaced/repaired damaged cedar siding. No Problem. Re-screened porch. No Problems. Repainted entire exterior. No Problems. Reshingled entire roof. One ongoing problem with a couple of fixes for garage roof leak afterward. Fixed Nov/ 2012, and repainted garage interior. Waiting for Spring to see if leak occurs again.

 + -1 moreI had them look at the roof, they said it was damaged. I scheduled for them to meet with myself and my insurance company. Buildmore never showed up. I called they said they would be at our house in 15 minutes. My insurance adjustor waited another fourty-five minutes after the time we were scheduled to meet. I waited an hour and a half before returning to work. I called several times they never returned my or my insurance company's call that day or afterwards. They totally wasted my time. We went with ABC Roofing. F for Flakey.

 + 0 moreThe sales person helped her pick out new shingle colors that better match her home. He offered to meet with the insurance adjuster if needed. The crew completed the job in day. They removed some gutter guards that she no longer wanted at no extra cost. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They use a magnetic sweeper to pick up all nails and so far no flat tires. They were very detailed the new roofs look great. I referred this company to one of her neighbors. She too was very pleased with them.
Description of Work: This was insurance work for my elderly mother's home. The roof on the house and detached garage suffered from hail damage. They replaced both roofs and part of the gutters. I have known the co-owner of this company for some time, and naturally thought of him when I knew her house would need a roof. The sales person helped her with the insurance paper work.

 + -1 moreThey were really good. It was insurance, but the cost was roughly about $18000.00 and that did not include the painting. I am not sure about the cost of the painting, but it was close to $5000.00. The contractors were very attentive to detail. They were easy to work with and responded quickly. The workers that they sent out were extremely efficient, very easy to work with, and competent. They did a fabulous job.
Description of Work: The roofing company came out 3 weeks ago and re-roofed the house, put new gutters on, and painted the house. The roof is a mansard, so there is a lot of roof.

I had a verbal agreement with Jeff about the amount of money down and at the last minute when it was time to sign the contract, that amount doubled without warning. Matt, Jeff's partner, would not honor Jeff's agreement with me and was adamant about my paying more down(do they not have the credit or capital to start a job?). They proclaim to be an honest company, but this bait and switch demonstrates otherwise. Matt was slow to return phone calls, but when he had workers come in from out of town, he was suddenly persistent about signing the contract and starting the job. Jeff is a very nice, personable guy who offers reasonable prices; it is too bad his partner is not the same.
Description of Work: Buildmore had submitted an estimate for siding my house. I had negotiated a contract with Jeff Reedy that his partner would not honor.

 + 0 moreVery well! I could not have been more pleased with Buildmore, Inc. as they followed through completely in all aspects of the project. Jeff Reedy is a very personable guy and as straight forward, honest and trustworthy as a homeowner could hope for when selecting a contractor. I almost went with a much larger concern whom will remain nameless other than to say that they are a 5 or 6 state operation, who as it turned out wanted to squeeze every possible penny out of both my insurance company as well as myself, only to cut every possible corner in performing the actual work! Thankfully, Jeff Reedy with Buildmore happened to come by when our insurance adjuster was up on the roof and asked if he could take a look and provide me with an estimate. I agreed, he did his own inspection of the roof, providing digital photos and found things that the bigger company had not found. His estimate was more competitive than the larger company and much more thorough. I was very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Complete Roof Replacement from storm damage. Removal of old roof shingles, replaced damaged underlayment, re-felted and re-shingled the roof. Replaced all gutters and downspouts.
