Brown's Flooring

The estimate was too costly for our budget.

Very well I thought, although it took more like five hours rather than the two that both the owner and the installer thought. The issue was the width of our staircase being somewhat smaller than usual. In any case, all went smoothly.

Good service, reasonable price, excellent installation. We weee pleased and would recommend them.

The job took a little longer than expected but there was a lot of detail to be dealt with. We are totally happy with the job.

Absolutely as smooth as it could be expected. Cost, appearance professionalism were spot on what you want with a contractor. I would definitely consider them for future work.

After paying $900 down, the flooring arrived at Brown's a week or so later and this floor was scheduled to be laid on September 16th after Home Depot/Crew2 installed our kitchen cabinets the week before. Home Depot/Crew2 destroyed our kitchen cabinetry with an extremely unprofessional installation job (see my review for them) and our kitchen remodel turned in to a nightmare. Brown's Flooring ended up having to wait during the 5 months it took Home Depot to re-install new kitchen cabinets in our kitchen. I do not have enough praise for Bob Workman and Brown's Flooring for his attitude during these long months of waiting. Around the 2 month mark - I offered to pay another installment towards our flooring invoice because I wasn't sure if this was a "burden" on Brown's and the delay had nothing to do with them. Bob turned me down and assured me that the original money paid down covered the cost of the material or most of it. In early December, when I had stopped in to Brown's to let them know that things had gone wrong with the reordered cabinets and that the delay would continue in to January, I happened to make a comment about getting tired of catching my socks on the edges of the OSB subfloor in my kitchen space. Bob Workman took me out in to his warehouse and showed me some leftover large chunks of a commercial carpet that he had out there. Bob offered to give me these pieces to tack down to the subfloor in the kitchen during the wait. He gave me these pieces for nothing! So not only did Bob store my flooring for 5 months, but he gave me these remnants to make my life more comfortable while we all waited at the mercy of Home Depot! This store and Bob deserve to be on the Page of Happiness, Angie's List! On January 13th, after all of the base cabinetry was finally installed - I called Bob to tell him that we could finally get the flooring scheduled. Bob scheduled the job for January 20th and unfortunately, he had to call me late on January 19th to let me know that a job they were working on that day was taking longer to demo old tile so they wouldn't be able to come on the 20th. However, since Bob knew how long I had been waiting, he rearranged things to squeeze me in on the morning of the 23rd. The installers came about 8:45A, got right to work and were leaving 3 hours later. My floor looks great and I find it very comfortable to stand on while working in the kitchen. Brown's Flooring is FANTASTIC!!

We were extremely pleased with Brown's Flooring from the beginning. Bob was very helpful in store with information and selection. Everything was completed in a very prompt and courteous manner---from measurements, to estimates and communications in between. The installation of the flooring went extremely well. Dwayne and Robbie were here everyday for a week.... they arrived right on time, went right to work, took extremely short lunch breaks. and where very hard workers. They were also very courteous and friendly. They finished the job in five days rather than the planned seven and we love our new flooring! We would definitely use Brown's in the future and highly recommend!

Great. Ken, the tile installer did an excellent job of laying the tile (which had multiple patterns that had to be staggered). We have an older home, so the underlayment had to be installed before the tile installation actually began. Any challenge he took in stride and came up with the solution. You felt like he was treating your home as his own. The two carpet installers did a great job, accomplishing the task in a couple of hours. The moved the bed and two heavy chests, and replaced them as they had found them.

VERY EASY to work with the owner in the showroom. I told him what I was looking for and he quickly picked out some samples to check out. I didn't have to spend time going through stacks of samples! We also had some laminate installed by them. Great products, quick service and fair prices! We will use them again!

I neglected to give Brown's a proper review when they first did the work but now have the opportunity to make amends. Early this year, wide spaces developed between some of the floating laminate boards in a very noticeable traffic area. I called Brown's, and fully 14 months after completion of the original job, they promptly sent Ken, the installer, to fix the problem at no charge. While here he also re-nailed a loose piece of quarter round and replaced a broken closet door guide. I can't praise Brown's and Ken highly enough!

I love the new flooring! They had a wide selection available with quick installation. The installers always called to let us know their arrival time. They moved furniture and did a great job cleaning up.

We did find someone for carpet installation and we actually used Angie's List. He had good honest pricing and the installation went good. We'll probably have to have them come back out to stretch one area of the carpet but I'm sure they won't hesitate to help us with that. There was good communication and overall good service. I'm happy with them.

It went very well. We picked out the floor, had Bob measure and send us a quote and when we were ready for installation, one quick call and they got the ball rolling. The job was scheduled and they called a week early and ask if could be completed on a Saturday. It worked out great for us. I would use them again.

This is an EXCELLENT COMPANY. It is family owned and everyone was extremely helpful---actually went above and beyond. They were on time, had excellent follow up and did a fabulous job. I can only rave about how great this company is. A+!

It went well, as I recall it took 2 days to complete. My floor is beautiful!

We had somebody do our floors. The company that came out for that was Brown's Flooring. Overall I thought that that experience would have the possibility of more than like an 'A' plus because it was amazing. It is a wonderful company to work with it.

Bob and his staff were professional and timely. They were a pleasure to work with and would use gain in the future.

I really like Brown's flooring. We've used them for more than 10 years. They are responsive, reasonably priced, give good advice, and I trust them. That's why it was so frustrating that they did a great job replacing the carpeting, but it took three calls over several weeks to get their person out to install the metal threshold strips between the carpeted bedroom and outer (tiled) rooms. The first time, I can accept; perhaps not everyone requests these strips. But for it to take two followup calls across two weeks is not acceptable. I'd still recommend them to anyone, but they have to realize that follow-up is expected after an initial "oops".

Carpet and wood floor installers did a very good job and clearly knew their trade. They showed up when scheduled and completed the job as planned. The carpet and wood installed looks great. The owner (Bob) was knowledgeable, prompt, helpful, and available. I got 3 estimates and they were all very close in price. Brown's was selected because of the Bob's professionalism, and the good reviews and comments on angie's list.

They have always been real nice. When it came up I went right to them and asked them. They told me the guy had a certain price for it and that’s what I paid. He was really a nice guy. I told him the carpet needed to be stretched and I didn't mention the metal strip. He did the metal strip and didn't charge me for it.

Bob was so responsive in coming out to my home to provide a quote and offer very valuable suggestions in dealing with a situation with two types of old tile. I really value responsiveness in a business relationship and Brown's flooring couldn't have been better. The carpet installers and flooring installer were exceptional. Their professionalism and work ethic as well as care of my home was even better than I could have anticipated. I would definitely use Brown's flooring in the future.

Our entire experience with Brown's Flooring was excellent. We walked into showroom and Bob helped us find some carpet samples that matched what we were looking for. He came over on a day that worked for us and measured our second floor. He then gave us an estimate that listed out each price and explained the estimate to us. After deciding on the sample we wanted, Bob worked with us on price. We wanted to tear the carpet and padding ourselves since we have done that before. Bob said that was fine and took that cost off of the estimate. He then even offered to pick up the old carpet and padding for us so that we wouldn't have to dispose of it ourselves, free of charge. The installation itself went great as well. The installers came on time on the days they were scheduled and went right to work. Everyone at Brown's Flooring couldn't have been easier to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Bob Workman was so helpful from the time I entered the showroom. I'm ancient and this was the first time I had ever purchased carpet. I have hardwood floors in my home, and this was for a part-time place. He advised me on choices for a part-time, low traffic use. Later he came to the place with samples and helped me make a choice. I postponted installation because of bad weather and my travel to get to Indpls. He was totally cooperative. On the rescheduled date, Tom and Keith arrived and went to it. They were very polite and professional. They work efficiently, as well. Tore out all the old carpet and padding in one day, put in the new padding in all the rooms and finished a big, walk-in closet with the new carpet. They came back the next morning and finished the carpet in all the rooms. I would highly recommend Brown's. I have some space to replace a vinyl flooring and will definitely have Brown's do it..

Charles is a very professional installer when it comes to carpeting and how closely he pays attention to detail is astounding! These guys have a good thing going and I will definitely use them in the future for any other flooring needs. Thanks.
