Brown's Flooring

After choosing a few colors/styles of hardwood, Bob Workman came out to give us an estimate. He was helpful in providing advise as to the color he thought would work best. After making my decision they were able to schedule the work during a week that worked with my schedule. George and his team of 2 arrived promptly on the first day. They moved all the furniture to one room and then placed plastic barriers over the kitchen cabinets and the furniture. They moved the appliances, except the fridge to the garage for the week. Removing the old flooring was a messy job but the crew cleaned up well at the end of each day. During demolition they discovered and pointed out a few repairs that were needed. Although there was an extra charge to address the issues, it was worth the expense to have it done right and to look right in the end. The floors look beautiful. They did a great job!

About 1 year ago Brown's installed a hardwood floor for us in about 2/3 of our downstairs. Been very happy with work and the floor. However, discovered a board had split in a high traffic area. Called Bob Workman, he remembered the job, looked it up, we had a box of leftover flooring and he immediately arranged for the original installer to return the very next morning to replace the board (manufacturing defect). All of this was painless. An on time, prompt repair with absolutely no questions about getting it fixed. Quite pleased with the service.

We were very pleased with this company from start to finish. Bob Workman's wife was very helpful in educating us on flooring products and the best possible choices for our situation. I made several trips back before making a choice and she was very gracious and patient with me. After choosing a product Bob was quick to arrange an appointment to measure and tell us the best possible way to get the results we were wanting. He said that we would be very pleased with the father/son team that would be coming to lay the floor. We were not disappointed in any way. The flooring team was professional and courteous and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. It was a two day project and they were very careful to clean up after each step of the process so that we weren't living in a mess. The process from start to finish was a total of two weeks. This was a lot faster than we anticipated and we are very pleased.

The owner came out, gave an estimate and the details on cost, and how we could save money on the installation. We inquired about their Shaw carpeting that is made from recycled carpet fibers. We scheduled the first part of the installation and paid cash for this. We then waited and scheduled the next installation and paid off the rest of the work. The owner was reachable with a phone call if needed. The installers were pleasant and very professional. I will use this company again. We have been very pleased with the carpet and the flooring. It looks great.

Brown's has put in all the flooring in our home over the years. Hardwood and carpet-I haven't found any other company that is as fair, honest and dependable-it is a GREAT COMPANY and GREAT PEOPLE!

I went to their store and chose the flooring. A person came to my home to do the measuring and provided me with an estimate and time frame. They came through on both accounts. Their workman took up the old flooring(I had also looked other places and no one was willing to take up the old flooring. They would just put the new over the old when I wanted the old totally removed), cleaned it appropriately so the new flooring would go down nice and smoothly. They did a great job!

My experience was good. I like working with this company and the floors look great. The quality of the flooring and everything else looks good. The trim was not done as well as the rest of the flooring. The workers did a good job. I enjoyed my experience with Bob Workman.

I had one month to get all this work done before I moved into my 13 year-old house. Bob Workman was able to coordinate all this work into that time frame without any problems or incidents. He oversaw the work and communicated everything to me frequently. All his installers were very professional and punctual, and able to work around the painters that were working much of the time. The result is incredible; I wish I had before and after pictures to share. I highly recommend this company and would use them again if I ever move!

I found this company on Angie's List along with a couple of others. Bob came out and measured at the appointed time and date. My husband and I weren't sure if we wanted to carpet all the areas or also put in hardwood. Bob came on on at least 3 separate occasions bringing samples, etc. I also went into the store and was helped by one of the female employees. She was very helpful. As a matter of fact, all employees were helpful and not pushy. The carpet layers came out at the appointed date and time. They were both very professional and hard working. They carpeted a living room, office, dining room, steps, hallway, four bedrooms and closets. They had to move furniture and put it back. This was all accomplished in three days. It was a pleasure working with Brown's Flooring and all the staff. I highly recommend them and if we decide to put hardwood in the bathrooms, we will use them again.

They were excellent, they professional, they were a little high priced, but the quality of the work was very good, they were very friendly and very personable as well. Bob makes me laugh.

They got the work done quickly and even moved my couch for me when they were finished. They were clean with their work.

The owner came out and measured first. We found the wood that we liked at their store. We got a good price and warrant on it. They did a good job and we were very satisfied.

I thought that they were very good to deal with, we had dealt with them in the past. They do their work very well and our home looks wonderful. They are very nice.

It all went great. Irene was wonderful to work with. She offered suggestions to some issues I had with my stairs and what I could do to keep the overall cost down without giving up the look I wanted. She explained the differences in the styles and brands of flooring, but then she allowed me space to look around and make my choices without hovering. She put together the estimate, and set the schedule for the work to be started and completed. She even called me halfway through the project to see how things were going and stopped by on the final day to check on things. I had three different sets of workers come out, all on time, one to rip up the tile in the kitchen and lay the new vinyl, one to remove the carpeting and lay the laminate, and one to lay the carpeting on the stairs. The guys who did the kitchen area had to move out of the way my washer, dryer, refrigerator and oven, they carefully moved them and reinstalled properly. My furniture was moved and put back where I had them with no issues. All of the workers were on time, polite and cleaned up after themselves, probably better than I would have done. Overall the experience was wonderful, I will definitely use Brown's again the next time I need flooring work done.

It went very wonderfully. I would use them again in a minute. They did what was right and was not fast. They worked longer than their time frame to make sure that everything was dry and completed correctly.

We purchased new vinyl tile flooring from Brown's flooring over a year ago and hired an independent installer to install the tile and grout. We were very satisfied with the installation. Unfortunately during the first year or so, we noticed that the Congoleum tile dented very easily and the surface was broken. As a consequence, these small dents and cracks in the surface would fill with dirt and the tile became noticeably discolored. My wife went back to Brown's and explained the problem. The staff at Brown's was very helpful and they took a number of vinyl sample tiles and verified that the particular style of Congoleum tiles dented easily (for example when a teaspoon was dropped from waist level) while none of their other vinyl tiles suffered damage. Brown's agreed that this was not acceptable and they said they would make it right. They contacted Congoleum who agreed to provide replacement tiles. Unfortunately, Congoleum would not pay for installation of the new vinyl flooring. Brown's offered to cover the installation of the new flooring and we chose new vinyl tiles (not Congoleum brand). The installer from Brown's did a great job. Kudo's to Brown's for standing behind their product and going to bat for their customers, especially when Congoleum would not. We certainly have been pleased with Brown's flooring and would highly recommend them to others.

They were very accommodating because we were going to be doing a remodeling job in a room. They left the flooring behind and when the remodeling job was over they came back to install the floor.

They were on time, friendly and they added re-stretching the carpet in the hallway to the job.

They are the best installers that I have used.

She ordered more flooring until we had exactly what we wanted. She was just great to work with, and did an amazing job helping us through all the steps.

They actually had our flooring in stock, so they were very prompt in being able to serve us. They came in and were able to get the job done quickly. They did it cleanly. We will consider them for the future.

Bob Workman accommodated our schedule to come by for a free estimate and brought a bunch of samples. They removed the carpet and took it away as well as putting in the new floor. They were very careful not to track in sawdust and to clean up their mess. We were pleased with the result.

Irene called the mill and checked availability of carpet. Delivered and installed carpet promptly on time. The installers, Charles and his son, were very professional, efficient and skilled. They made no marks on the baseboard, and they cleaned everything up when finished. There was a problem with some of the carpet from the mill. Irene and Charles came out within and hour after we called and agreed that there was a problem. They made arrangements to get a replacement piece from the same dye lot, and promptly corrected the problem to our complete satisfaction.
