He was very good. He worked like a dog, and did a nice job. 2 day job, got it done and looks super. He even went and got us new felt pads for the bottom of our chairs.

The service was great. The installation went smoothly and they came when they said they were going to. I will definitely be using them again.

I would rate them highly overall since they wanted to satisfy their customer.

Bob, owner and estimater, was our sales person. He is a no b.s. kind of guy and did a good job getting the costs down to my budget. Ken was our installer and he did a great job. Very detailed oriented. Didn't leave any loose ends at all. I definitely recommend this company

I contacted Bob at Brown's based on the reviews I read on Angie's List. I travel for work and Bob was very accomodating in setting up a time that met my schedule and was right on time for the appointment. I showed him the areas that I wanted replaced and asked for suggestions on replace or not to replace lesser used rooms. I followed Bob's suggestions for the carpet upsatairs and asked if they could stretch the carpet in the basement that the previous homeowner had self-installed but had not properly stretched. The installation team was great and te finished job is outstanding! The installation crew cured the basement carpet issue by basically taking it up and reinstatlling it. I was most impressed with their work and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Their price was fair. The installation guy was good and kept me in the loop. They did a meticulous job and they took their time and really did it right. Everything turned out really nice.

We had our entire upstairs carpet replaced when we moved into our new home. We went to several stores to get estimates and found that Bob was the most professional and least pushy when it came to choosing a carpet. He actually let us decide which carpet we liked best, which I can't say the same for some other companies. Once we made our choice, Bob was also great about trying to work with us to a price that worked for us on a high quality carpet. Communication was friendly and efficient. Installation was fast and professional. No problems at any point during the entire experience. We will no doubt use Brown's again. Thanks!

Took several samples home from showroom to select color. Bob visited promptly and provided estimate. Followed within couple weeks for installation. Ken did a great job installing. I am an engineer and do most things DIY. My test for professional is seeing result better than I could do. This was a slam dunk. This job got the attention I would have given it and much more. Joints are perfect in location and finish. Thresholds and trim a perfect. I removed appliances ahead of time, but Ken helped put them back without touching the floor. The service felt highly personal from start to finish. The whole experience felt highly personal. cldn't have asked for more. Ken treated our house and the job like it was his own. We selected Brown's flooring based on a referral (the best way). That's what Angie's list is good for--I would refer these guys to anybody.

An inconsiderate contractor was looking at my tile floor to see if they were responsible for a broken floor tile. They pulled the carpet up at the edge of the tile and informed me it was improperly installed and they were not responsible. The person had no carpet tools or didn't want to take the time and reattached the carpet by hand. Needless to say, the carpet separated from the tile and was starting to show signs of wear. The gentleman that repaired the carpet, Charles, had a great attitude and looked at the tile for me. He said that if I could find another tile left from the previous owner he could do a pretty good repair that would buy me some time. The people at Brown's are great to work with and I undoubtedly saved more money than I would have potentially lost if the carpet had ripped, frayed or worn and had to be replaced. I have done business with Browns Flooring for several years their prices are fair and I will continue to give them my business.

It went extremely well. Picking out samples at the showroom went better than I'd thought it would. Once we found the three types of flooring we wanted, the staff was able to find us the best prices on all of the flooring stock. I can't remember the order that the carpeting, vinyl and hardwood flooring was installed in, but it went quickly and the hardwood crew especially was very good at handling any little glitches that arose. We are extremely happy with the result! I also want to add that Bob Workman, the owner, was a joy to work with. It was the glowing reviews that he got on Angie's List that helped us to decide to go with his company. Brown's Flooring had a lot of very positive reviews, and that impressed us. There was one review that complained of their showroom smelling of cigarette smoke, but that was not our experience. Their showroom is organized and clean, and the woman who helped us pick our flooring products was very personable and helpful.

I like that they are local. They are super professional and super trustworthy. They do great quality work. They have a large selection of carpet and flooring.

We've dealt with them before. They were very accomodating. They did a beautiful job installing it. They were very careful in making sure it was what I wanted it. Their price was equivalent to all the other stores in the area. We are very happy with it.

His workmanship is good. He has his own people, they aren't subs. They are very meticulous. It looks really good. The angles match.

Brown's did a great job. Very responsive to all my questions, very knowledgeable about their products, and what might work best for my situation. And, after comparing all the costs, Brown's pricing was actually better than the local home improvement store, and I think both service and quality were better.

The service was great. They said it would be about two weeks and they were done in just over a week.

The installers turned up on time and were pleasant. The lead installer was particularly professional. They worked quickly and have the job done in less time than predicted. The carpet looks great and we are happy with choose Brown's Flooring to do our work.

We went to the store and spoke to Robert Workman about the type of flooring we were looking for and he was very helpful about what would work well with our pets. We took home several samples and decided that day which one we liked. Mr. Workman came out to our home and took measurements and we discussed how to treat the concrete before laying down the new floor. Within a week and a half from the time Mr. Workman was at our house, the installers came out and removed the carpet, carpet pad, put down the Kilz and laid the new laminate flooring. We are very pleased with the service both at Brown's Flooring and at our home. Our new floor looks great!

We had checked out several places to get estimates to replace our dated carpet and vinyl with updated carpet and hardwoods, and had numerous no-shows and no call backs from places highly recommended by various friends and family. We finally decided to use our Angie's List referral source! After reading the positives about Brown's Flooring I decided to give them a call and a visit. I met with Janice Lilly in the showroom and she was the epitome of helpfulness after many days of my coming and going with samples to get a visual in our home; even suggesting a location where I could see in person one of the hardwoods they had installed. The carpet was installed first and was perfect in every way...no issues or problems! The hardwoods were installed about a week later, (end of July '11), again with no issues or problems; that is until we discovered major water damage from a leaking water pipe that had slowly leaked under the newly installed hardwoods for about two weeks! (That's another story....unrelated to the flooring!) Brown's Flooring came back to do the restoration/replacement of the floors involved after the water damage was taken care of in Sept. of '11. This is where Bob Workman and Brown's Flooring went above and beyond our expectations: The new flooring was meticulously matched and laid to perfection to not stand out from but blend in with the original. At one point to save more beautiful hardwoods from being ripped out to meet up exactly, their foreman installer, Louis, took pains to hand strip and sand a narrow (maybe less than 1/8 of an inch) piece of the maple to custom fit into a tiny gap now making it indistinguishable from the rest of the floor. This was at our request to save the time, effort, and cost of taking out the uninvolved floor because of the little gap. I can't say enough good things about Louis and his patience, willingness, and artistry to make our floor look just like it did originally! The overall experience was beyond our expectations and we would and do highly recommend them for anyone else. We get numerous compliments on the floors and are so glad we went this route with Brown's Flooring instead of paying perhaps less but putting up with unprofessional and unreliable contractors.

I called and was given the name of one of their employees to contact for an appointment. The man came to the house within 2 days (meeting my work schedule requirements), stretched the carpet in a very short amount of time, and left the room in very good condition. No after-call clean up was required on my part.

Brown's Flooring was recommended by our regular carpet cleaner. We were told that Brown's is a reputable company who values customer service and provides quality carpet and installation. We were happy to learn that this recommendation was very true. We did some comparison shopping and found that Brown's standard pad and installation charges were better than any other that we shopped. Their flooring prices were very competitive and their service was great. We received excellent help from Janice while making our carpet choice. Bob came out to measure and give us a quote and they were very patient while we orchestrated the scheduling around several other repair projects that we were working on. The installlers arrived on time. They moved all of our furniture, removed the old carpet and pad, cleaned the area and then installed the new pad and carpet. They worked efficiently and cleaned up as they went. The whole job went quickly and they were very professional in their work. The result is a beautifully carpeted room and the knowledge that it is backed by a good company. We will use Brown's again when we make decisions about the rest of our home.

They kept us notified about the issues pertaining to our tile flooring being sent in. The clerk who helped us was the sister of the owner and she took a great interest in helping us pick out a floor. She just showed a lot, and got involved in it. She helped us figure out what we wanted. The job was taken care of, on time, with no problems.

Ken the installer arrived promptly each morning at 8:30 on the two days required for the job. He took great care moving appliances and furniture--nothing was marred. He also showed me choices of colors for the cove molding and metal boundary strips that I hadn't realized were available. The installation was accomplished with remarkable neatness and outstanding precision. The results look terrific! Ken was also friendly, polite, and fun to talk with.

This was the first company to reply to my request for an estimate, so I rated them well on their responsiveness. I did change my original order from carpet to laminate, which might have been a slight hassle for Bob to send the carpet back. However, I did end up spending twice my original estimate because of choosing laminate instead of carpet. Instead of making me feel like a valued customer, he made no attempt to hide his displeasure with having to make the change. Bob came out to my house twice to take the same measurements, and still there wasn't enough carpet ordered for the stairs, which resulted in a 3rd installation visit. The laminate installer, Ken, had excellent work ethic and he was wonderfully pleasant to have around. I would work with Ken again in an instant if he ever switched companies. Finally, I had a complete unopened box of laminate leftover. I asked Bob if I could return that for credit, and his reply to me was one of the most unprofessional responses I have ever heard. Therefore, I would not work with this company again. On a side note, the Brown's Flooring store is very uncomfortable to be in. It is very hot and smells like cigarrette smoke and chemicals. On one occasion, I had to leave before I made my selections because I couldn't stand to be in there anymore. I gave a good rating on quality because the new carpet and laminate do look very nice.

Everything went great. The overall quality of work was amazing. The crew was very professional, punctual, and courteous. They were very nice to work with. They were very helpful with moving all the furniture. I really felt like I received great value when using this company.

Wonderful - even great service 4 years after the sale. The staff were great to work with when I chose the first carpet I'd ever purchased: helpful in choosing the style and color, knowledgeable about the types of materials used, and professional in the installation (which included trying to level out the floor of this old home). Four years later, the carpet has held up wonderfully - except for some pet stains from a tenant's bad, bad dog. Brown's staff was able quickly to look up the composition of the carpet and pad I had installed so the cleaners knew what to use. They even recommended a steam cleaning company which would guarantee their work. So nice to have not only a good product, but great service even years after the sale. Would not hesitate to buy from them again
