Matt did an excellent job with this patio. We had first hired him about four years ago to install a wood fence and we were so impressed with his craftmanship that we immediately thought of him when we decided to tackle this project. Once he came out and we started talking, he offered a lot of tips and suggestions on the best way to go about it and what type of pavers we might like. He did some calling around to find the perfect ones and to also locate suitable colored gravel we could use to fill in around the edges. The whole project took about a week and he couldn't have done a better job. We use this patio all the time, whether it's for a glass of wine on a summer evening or roasting marshmellows around a firepit in the spring and fall. We're so pleased with the results!Q~

This was an absolutely amazing experience - from start to finish. Matt is a wealth of knowledge on all things landscaping! The space that we wanted paved had some challenges, and I was at a loss on what to do to make it functional and make it look good. Luckily, Matt knows his stuff, so all I really needed to do was tell him what I wanted, and what I didn't want. His solutions to our issues were brilliant, and executed perfectly! He brought out multiple samples of pavers for me to pick from, and he even made sure to wet them down so I could see what they looked like dry and after it rained. After we chose the pavers, he got to work almost immediately. Within days my husband and I had a fantastic paver patio to relax upon. All of our neighbors commented on how hard Matt worked while putting in our patio - and now that it's done - they all want to come over and enjoy a cold one in our new-and-improved backyard!

Matt, who is the owner, did the brick work himself, and I liked that he did not contract it out. I was very satisfied with the work. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Matt worked diligently to fix the mess the previous contractor had made. He started the job on a thursday afternoon and finished it by early afternoon on Friday. He was considerate of our budget and rented a cheaper manual stump grinder rather than the more expensive self-propelled grinder. Whereas the previous contractor had left a heaping mess in our front yard, Matt left a level patch of soil and seed in both locations in our yard. He cleaned up the entire area before he left so there we no wood chips or dirt on the sidewalk, driveway or in the landscaping beds nearby.

Matt came a little late on the first day due to weather set backs on existing jobs. It ended up being a half day of work instead of a full day. He anticipated it would take him a day and a half but it was closer to 2 and a half days. Matt and his assistant were very methodical and precise in their work. He kept me informed of the work that would be done on the next day before he left each day. His estimate was right on with the exception of needing to purchase an additional barberry plant to balance out one of the flower beds and an extra 2x6 for the short wall. The old one was buried so he did not see it when he did the estimate. Not his fault. Matt is a perfectionist and he knows what he is doing. He exceeded our expectations.

Matt was very courteous and quite concerned about making the customer (me!) happy. He was very meticulous and aware of doing a quality job. Matt visited to view the lawn, review the fence plan, and talk to me about my vision for the finished product. He was able to meet my dogs and therefore was able to be mindful of the fact that the bottom of each fence section should be no more than 3-4" above the ground level. He returned the following week and worked 2 1/2 days to get the majority of the work completed. He trimmed one fence section 1/2" too short and ordered another section, at his own cost to replace it. He and his helper cleaned up the area each day before leaving the property. The filled in uneven terrain with fill dirt and planted grass seed in these areas upon completion. Matt's quote was very competitive and I would not hesitate to call him for any future work I have.

They were wonderful. I thought they did a great job for a very reasonable price. They were really prompt and courteous. I really liked them and definitely plan on using them again.

He was very good. He was very quick and used the right equipment. He was very informative on plants that were low key. He did a lot of work for the money. He put down a lot of grass seed and told us how to take care of it. He told us if we had any problems with the plants to let him know and he would come out and replace them free of charge. He also said that if we had any problems with the bricks he would come out and replace those. It looks great and definitely looks like a new yard. The price was great.

I intend to use them for some snow removal and other work in the spring. I was very satisfied with the work he had done today.

Matt's work is wonderful. The patio looks amazing! I can't wait to have a summertime cookout to show it off to our family and friends. Even our dog loves it! His intricate work on the step is quite impressive. Everything involving this job went well. He's a true professional who goes above and beyond. When it rained the day after he put down grass seed, he made an extra trip to our house (without our asking) to put down some straw so the dogs wouldn't track in mud.

On the recommendation of a co-worker, we hired Matt Broering last spring to rip out our existing wood fence and replace it with a 6-foot-high scalloped-top treated wood fence and driveway gate. Working with two helpers, Matt and his crew began the job in mid-April. It took them about two days to rip out our fence and then they got started on digging the post holes and securing the posts in cement. While they were delayed several times because of heavy rain, they built the fence and gate over the next few weeks. We told Matt from the outset that we just wanted it complete by the Indy 500 race weekend, and he met that deadline with several days to spare. We were very satisfied with Matt's work, especially the care he took in setting straight posts, cutting the scallops and building a tricky gate. In summary, Matt Broering is one hard worker who really knows how to build a gorgeous fence. He's not above having a beer and talking shop once his work is done, either. A true craftsman!

I would definitely hire him again. It's good to know that I've had this resource in a pinch. $40 is a great price knowing I won't have flooding problems. He did a super job and was very professional and responsive.
