I am not too fond of them. I haven't had any trouble with the service men. I had trouble with the managers, because they told me that they would take care of me, if I ran out of gas the first time. The gas company had to come and fill gas, and they said they would take care of it, but all they did was extend my service contract to replace that. I wasn't so happy with that. It also took them so long to fix it. It was pretty expensive.

I was pleased with everything from the initial estimate to the installation. We bought this house earlier this year and during a tune-up it was discovered that there were multiple points of failure just waiting to happen. The furnace was close to 20 years old so I cannot say I was completely surprised. I also was not sure about the age of the air conditioner. When Tony came out to do the estimate on the 10th, we had briefly discussed perhaps changing both the A/C and the furnace. But during his thorough evaluation of the entire HVAC situation, he told me that the A/C was only 6 or 7 years old. I appreciated his honesty. We went through all of the replacement options and I told him to call me in 2 days as I never make a decision like this on the spot. He put no pressure on my to make a decision and when he called 2 days later I told him I wanted them to do the work. Among the furnace options, I settled on the Lennox EL195E which was more expensive that the "budget" option, but had features that I thought would help the comfort level of our home. Since this was not an emergency situation, we scheduled the work for the 16th. On the day of installation, Jerry and John showed up on time and worked diligently for the next 6 hours. During the installation, they discovered that the duct work from the hot water heater had a leak so they replaced that as well. I have to give both Jerry and John an A+ for their professionalism and quality of their work. It is obvious they have been doing this for a long time and that they take pride in their work. I was very happy with the entire process and would recommend them to others needing similar work..

Their cost may be a little higher than other companies, but I feel that it is worth it. They will check out more than what other companies will. For example, the technician will walk around with a thermometer and check each vent to ensure that the temperature is constant throughout the house. My first issue with Broad Ripple Heating and Air took place in 2013 when I called about some problems with a sewer line that they replaced for me. It was at this time that I learned that the company had been under new management for several years and wasn't being run by the same people that had built the company into a respected local business. I was upset by this because no one at the company told me of the change in management when I originally hired them to install the new sewer line. The company still hasn't responded to me regarding the sewer line, and it's been months since I phoned them. During the course of a recent chimney inspection, another company found that the furnace that Broad Ripple Heating and Air installed had an improper flue which is dangerous.

What they have done runs a long time and I just trust them. I would use them again in the future.
