Brewer Heating & Cooling

Isaac was a few minutes late, but nothing terrible. He took one look at my furnace and said that he couldn't believe how it had been installed. He took a lot of time sealing up loose stuff, which made a big difference on wasted heat. He also came inside and checked out the cold air returns. He also signed me up for their yearly service plan. By the next day someone from the office had called to have their regular person come to do the yearly furnace maintenance (not as convenient - they only schedule from 8 to 4). That guy was several minutes late and spent 2 hours doing stuff (I'm not sure what, besides cleaning the blower). In approx 6 months they will come out and do the A/C maintenance. The yearly service plan costs $174, I believe.

My experience with him was excellent. The price was good and so was the service. He came out and gave me a quote, took the measurements, and suggested what I needed. Everything has worked out well.

If I ever have to part with almost $8000 on something as boring as HVAC again, I hope I get to do it with the people from Brewer! I think they made it as painless as they possibly could. From the first time I called to schedule an estimate and talked to the pleasant phone person, until Erick's truck pulled out of our driveway, we had A-1 customer service. Isaac was so informative when he met with us, and we felt like he really had our needs and interests as his main goals. His binder with all of the product info and his bona fides in it was great - anything I wanted to ask about was answered in there! He was respectful of our concerns and limitations, and offered us a number of options. When the day came for the actual work, Erick and his crew were prompt and courteous. He even found an alternate location for our outside unit (now fondly known as R2D2's Mama), and they ran new connections through our garage. I'm sure that our ancient unit wasn't the easiest get out, but they worked through the day and got everything finished by evening. Any question I had throughout the day was listened to and answered in a way that did not make me feel like an idiot for asking. I would use this company for ANYTHING in a heartbeat. I feel that they will stand behind their work, and if we have any problems (which I sure don't anticipate), we will be well taken care of.

I had put in a programmable thermostat this summer. While it worked properly with the air condition, it would not work with the furnance. When turned on the heat would continue to cycle up and run. The techinician determined that I had wired the thermostat incorrectly and in the process broke the thermostat. He explained the entire process and why he was doing what he was doing.

It was a pleasure to deal with Isaac and his crew. Isaac clearly explained all my options, worked around my schedule, and explained other value added items such as potential tax benefits in helping me pick the correct unit for my home. His service people were pleasant, efficient, and easy to work with. I am pleased to have found such a reliable HVAC contractor in Indy.

I had another company coming to clean and check the furnace in 2 weeks, but when I turned my furnace on before that it would not start and it was 53 degrees in the house. Darienf Tropf, The Handywoman,was doing some work at my house and recommended Brewer to me. I called them and they came that afternoon. The receptionist was so pleasant and professional and said they saved a few slots each day for people with this problem. Broad Ripple Heating had told me 2 years earlier that the furnace was rusty and should be replaced. Brewer told me it was working fine but I might want to consider a more efficient furnace in the next few years. I did not look over the bill thoroghly and assumed it was fine. A few days later I got a call from Brewer saying that they repairman had accidentally forgotten to give me the discount for the service all since I purchased the service plan. She said they would be sending me a check for $76 to account for that. I received the check in the mail a few days later. I was very appreciative that they were honest and took care of the problem themselves even though I had not taken the time to review the bill.

He was just wonderful. He went over the estimate in detail, and explained the different levels of products. He really went above and beyond, and we were very impressed with him. He arrived early and brought good information. He provided graphical information, performed an analysis of our home and our current heating situation, and printed off all of the facts and figures for us right there. Although we decided not to do the work at this time, we will absolutely use him when we do have the work completed.

I've used them for three years. It is run by family. Last year right around Christmas my furnace stopped running and the owner came out that night. I was really impressed that he came that quickly when it was right before Christmas. He has three or four guys and you get to know them because they come each time.

Excellent. The technicians were on time, clean, courteous, very professional, and willing to answer any questions I had regarding the new system. Very customer oriented.

We found them on Angie's List and asked to get a quote to move our air conditioner last summer. They did a great job for us and we continue to have them come out twice a year to check our systems and just generally make sure everything is going ok. It gives us a good feeling of comfort to talk to them every six months and ask questions about our system or our airflow or air quality. They are great to work with and really spend a lot of time making sure we get what we are needing. They make recommendations but are very deferential. Last winter there was some crazy noise in our ceiling in the basement and I called Isaac and he sent somebody out immediately to take a look. Turned out it was a block of wood that got wedged in a fan that was in the ductwork and he pulled it out and didn't charge us hardly anything. It's nice to have someone like this to call when you need them. Each of the guys that have come out to help or do our semi-annual check has been great. They take their shoes off at the door to make sure they don't get the carpet dirty. Who does that? I highly recommend them.

They listened to me and choice the unit my home needed for the problems I was having. They knew where grant money was available for having efficient units. I think they are absolutely fabulous. They are extremely neat and efficient with their work.

Isaac did the furnace maintenance with his usual professionalism. While he was here, I mentioned that we had some leaking around the hot water heater chimney/vent. He pulled his ladder out and got up on the roof to check the seal. The seal appeared to be fine and we haven't had a repeat of the leak. While he was up on the roof, however, he noticed that a piece of ridge vent was loose. Not only did he let me know about the problem, he tacked the ridge vent down and sealed it with silicone -- 10 or 15 minutes of work that was not, in any way, part of his job. He did it, I guess, just because it needed to be done. There aren't many people in the service industry with that kind of customer service, at least not in my experience. I cannot recommend Isaac and his company strongly enough.

I want to commend Isaac and Technician Derrick for a most professional job in replacing a 43 yr. old Williamson furnace with a new Trane 95% efficient unit. This was a 'huge' task to remove the old 'Beast' in a most efficient manner. They were very courteous and true professionals. They cleaned up all the mess and we couldn't tell they had been in the house. We are very pleased with the end result. This company also filled out all the paperwork for warranties and rebates and did the mailing.

Outstanding service. Brewer installed our Trane heat pump and a/c system in 2005. Our house had never had a/c before, and we had to have all new ductwork built in to our 50 year old home. We have used Isaac Brewer's people to do all of the annual service checks ever since. They are trustworthy, honest, and fair on their prices.

Staff were patient and answered my questions as they installed the new unit, which included tying into our existing furnace blower.

They were recommended to me. They came out to do a service call on my furnace. They replaced a filter. I have a service contract with them. The service man who came most recently was helpful and gave me personal attention to help with an issue over the phone.

We were satisfied with the work that they preformed. They were on time and had a lot of information on the right system to go with. Their handyman work was very good. My husband was here watching and was pleased. They were neat and clean and were careful not to let our cat out. The estimate was lower than other companies we had checked with and they stuck with the original estimated price. I would recommend them to other folks.

What can I say, Isaac is a gem! At this point, I feel like he s part of the family. In early November of 2007, Isaac replaced our defunct furnace with a high-efficient Trane unit. At the time, he recommended that we consider replacing our air conditioner with a heat pump, which would make our overall system more efficient and the house more comfortable. I assured him that the previous owners bought the air conditioner shortly before we bought the house and that it would be just fine. I think he knew better. Summer had hardly begun before the unit died. Brewer s mechanic was at the house immediately and gave me the option of installing a $200 temporary fix, while letting me know that there was no way to tell how long it would last. At that point, I knew we needed a new unit, but I wanted to try my hardest to get through one more summer without the added expense. Unfortunately, we didn't t make it. Early one Sunday morning, I called Isaac desperate to get relief from the rapidly rising temperatures of my now non-air conditioned house. He showed up in his church clothes and went right to work. He installed a new part, without charging me, in hopes that it would kick start the unit and buy us some more time. It didn't t. So, he laid out the options of fixing the unit or installing a new one. Although our money is very tight, we were very confident in Isaac s recommendations and the next day told him to go forward with the heat pump. With a small child in the house, living with the heat was not an option and we wanted to act fast. But, it s not like I needed to tell Isaac that. He installed the unit that day. Talk about service!

Isaac came out and gave us a thorough analysis and reviewed our previous heating & cooling bills as well as checking the old gas furnace and air conditioner. Although the old system was still working, it was 21 years old, and we thought we should replace it. We subsequently obtained two other estimates for comparision. Brewer offered the best plan/equipment as well as the best labor and parts warranty.

They are very nice people and they come out when they say they will be. They clean up all their mess when they are done. I would recommend them and use them again.

I have been using their services for about a year. I like them. They are friendly and do a good job. They come when they say they will. My furnace went out and we flipped the switch a couple times and it worked. He said he knew what was wrong and ordered the part. The next time it went out I called him and he fixed the problem.

The service was great. Good attention to detail. They were friendly and honest.

I can't say enough good things about Isaac and Ladonna Brewer and the service tech Nathan. We have had a maintenance agreement with them since we bought opur house 2 years ago and have been very happy with their professionalism and committment.

It is great. He is very fast at returning phone calls. He is very quick at coming to the house. They are very professional looking. It is always the same two guys that come out to my house.
