Description of Work: The zone system on the home we'd recently purchased had been rigged and was not working or heating correctly. The system was also very dirty. Our warranty company would not cover repairs and we were given estimates from 3 different HVAC companies all of which exceeded $1000. Brewer came out and showed me exactly what was going on and what needed to be done. They had the system cleaned and repaired and our zone system fixed for a fraction of the estimates I was given!

Description of Work: When the compressor on my old air conditioner died, I was offered the option of replacing it or getting a new air-conditioner for only slightly more. Since my furnace was also original to my 1970s house I opted to replace the air conditioner and to add a hybrid heat pump. The staff at Brewer were always polite and prompt and thoroughly explained all of my options to me. I now have an updated modern system at a reasonable cost.

Description of Work: Cleaned outside AC coil and added 2 # of refrigerant. Scheduled for AM appointment and made it to appointment after 12 noon. Unfortunate but what can you do? Did a good job of explaining the situation, price and was professional in the execution of the work done. We've used them several times before and have had good experiences.

Description of Work: In the middle of a pool construction project, contractor who was to relocate where my Geothermal Loop Lines entered my home was suddenly unavailable. Where they were not able to perform the job on my time table, they worked with me to find another great company who was able to do the work. They also provided me with additional information about my system that turned out to be of great benefit. I will definitely be using them in the future, without hesitation. Description of Work: Summer inspection and service of air system. On time, professional and pleasant. Explained how system checked out and made a couple of suggestions to help cool house mor efficiently.

Description of Work: Brewer installed a 95% complete furnace and ac unit in addition to some if the ductwork that went through my stage floor. I received quotes from several companies and even had those companies counter their own offers but brewer still came in lower and installed quality equipment with a professional sales and installation team.

Description of Work: I asked for a second opinion on my furnace as another provider told me my furnace had a carbon monoxide leak. Isaac Brewer (owner/technician) and Jay Buckles (salesman) arrived promptly at the promised time. Mr. Brewer checked my furnace completely while I watched and I saw the meter had a zero carbon monxide rating. He even suggested I walk around my entire house with the meter to see if there was evidence of carbon monoxide anywhere - which there wasn't! I requested a quote on a new furnace since mine was 30 years old. Mr. Buckles measured the outside of my house and looked at the windows to determine the appropriate size furnace and took plenty of time explaining the two different ones he quoted for me after asking what efficiency I wanted in a new furnace. After getting another quote for a new furnace, I decided to have Brewer install a new high-efficiency furnace for me. The installer arrived promptly the next week and with the help of a second installer later in the day completed the work. They left everything completely clean! The office staff had filled out the rebate paper for me so all I had to do was sign it - they even mailed it in for me! I'm very happy with my new furnace and the work done by Brewer and will definitely have them service it in the future and will recommend them.

Description of Work: Isaac, the owner arrived promptly as scheduled and listened to my problem, checked my system and found the problem (low freon) which was taken care of. He also informed me of a future problem that will require more work or replacement of my heating/A/C system. He went over some of my options when the situation ,occurs, but did not pressure a sale. I did purchase the maintenance program he offered. Very pleased with the service provided by Brewer H/C. UPDATE: well as mentioned before, my system was doomed to break down at some point, and it did, so Isaac returned and we discussed systems/price. Had heat pump/furnace installed, definitely an upgrade from what i had, work was done professionally, area cleaned up after installation. Techs Derrick and Isaac-great guys to have install the unit, dealt with some landscape issues without a hitch. Whole experience was the best. May 2013, I am still very pleased with the installation and the continued service I have received from Brewer Heating/Cooling. The system has functioned without any problems, and the service calls for maintenance have continued with the same professionalism and courtesy that occurred from the first time I dealt with Brewer Heating/cooling. Description of Work: Brewer Heating and Cooling installed a heating and air conditioning unit in a new bonus room. They were very good, so five months later, we hired them to replace our main heating and air conditioning.

Description of Work: Replaced entire heat pump system. (outdoor, indoor, thermostat, etc. also relocated thermostat) I choose them because of their smaller size, and Angie's list rating. I was not disappointed. It's refreshing to see there are still companies out there with the "old-school" philosophy of personal contact, saying what they'll do, and doing what they say, (no hassle). I needed a couple of extras, and they determined they could throw them as a courtesy. I'm happy.

Description of Work: We got an estimate on a geo-thermal unit and a traditional system. It was a great reminder of what true customer service! They have yet to call back with an answer to one of our questions but it's not that big of a deal.
