We couldn't have been happier with BPI from the moment we met JD Durst to the very end of the project. We already have phase 2 in place for next year. I have referred BPI to numerous friends already and will continue to do so. They were on top of every aspect of the project, even those they weren't managing. We had a lot of moving parts going on at once, so JD was in constant contact with each of the contractors which took a lot of pressure off of me. The crew arrived each and every morning on time without fail and always picked up trash and kept the site tidy. Even after the project was completed, if I needed any adjustments made, they were out within a couple of days. All of the contractors JD used were extremely competent and very pleasant. If you're planning an outdoor space, this is a company you don't want to miss! We constantly receive compliments on our new paver patio and our front walkway. JD's crew tore out our old front walkway and replaced it with a new paver walkway, installed all new landscaping that adds much needed privacy to our pool area, mulched and trimmed existing plants, seeded, designed and implemented a brand new patio around our new pool, and contracted out our irrigation, fence, gas and electric. Next year we have plans to add a pergola and outdoor kitchen with BPI. JD is very good at designing a project to fit a specific space. I am so thankful we used them and it's wonderful to see his designs become a reality!

The project was a success. JD was professional, courteous and responsive. We have had a large number of compliments on our patio, landscaping and lighting and have been asked for BPI's contact information a number of times. We are very pleased with their work and would recommend, as well as use BPI again in the future. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and if you want quality custom craftsmanship, we recommend using JD and BPI.

Initially, the overall experience was great. It's been fifteen years since they paved our driveway, and we haven't had any problems since with the driveway. The second project went less smoothly. The crew was sloppy and less knowledgeable, they left their tools out, etc. In March of this year, a paver fell through on the walkway, which caused a hole in the walkway, which is hazardous. I called them to have them come out to fix this, but they have not been responsive at all. I have been told I'd receive a call back each time I call, which has been four months. They were paid in full by us upon completion of each project, and I?m not sure why they won't want to come out to fix this.

The first two weeks of the project went well. Per BPI's initial pitch to us, we had the same three man crew arrive every day. They obviously took pride and care in their work and cleaned up the work area every night. However, after that the crew seemed spread thin. We no longer had a full-time foreman on site daily and some days there were only two workers (with limited English). While it all eventually pulled together, the job communication the last several weeks was not good. Maybe it's unrealistic to expect that for a job at this level and expense, that one of the owners or foreman come to the site daily and communicate with me about "how's it going, what's going to happen next, any concerns, etc." but that's what I expected and that did not happen. So the construction process had its frustrations. That said, we're ultimately pleased with the design and the finished project.

I contacted Tony Lausas June 2010 to get an estimate to clean the seams between the bricks of my paver stone walk way as well as sealing them, so we would not have any weeds anymore. The seams were cleared from weeds by power washing. The seams were filled with regular sand and sealant was applied on top of it. The weeds were back within a month. I called Tony Lausas from Brick Paving of Indianapolis multiple times and my phone calls were not returned until I filed a complaint with Angie's List last year. He came back and put more sand in the seams and covered it with sealant. He told me that he could not make it perfect and was portraying me as being unreasonable. This spring the weeds are back as bad as before and there are multiple holes in the seams, so the weeds have no problem to grow back. I called Brick Paving early May 2011 and left a message for Tony Lausas, which was not returned. I am very upset that a company can do such a lousy job. I paid $4000.- for a job and my paver stone walk way looks as bad as before the work was done. I contacted other companies who told me that they use polymerized sand to fill the seams and that you should use at least 1 inch thickness of polymerized sand to prevent the weeds from growing back. The sealant is only that let it look shiny and will wear off quickly and that is exactly what I see. I would never hire this company again. I made multiple pictures to show why I am so unhappy with their work.

The amount was around $1200 to $1400. I was not pleased with it. They had to come back and fix it. The work had to be redone. I thought that wasn't beautiful. I had to get them back here to do a couple of things. Originally when they installed, the quality of work wasn't good so they always came back and fixed it. They resolved them all with me. I would use them again in the future.

We didn't care for them at all. They never really came out and finished the job. Any work that they did not contract out wasn't very good.

BPI was excelllent. They were professional, timely and really did a great job in earning our business. They have an impressive presentation and when it came to the work the crew was diligent, exceptionally clean and very friendly. We are looking forward to many enjoyable years on our patio!

BPI was excellent to work with. I had contacted another company for a quote and felt like I was getting a run around and additional charges for every little thing. It wasn't like that with BPI. Tony was great to deal with and didn't pressure us at all. He was straight forward with the costs and was flexible in our planning. He worked to keep us close to our budget which was also very helpful.

We spent $30,000 on that service. They were pretty much within budget, fairly fast and stayed within their time restraints.

They did an outstanding job and got the project project done in 2 weeks, essentially ahead of schedule. Very clean.

They did a great job! Some changed along the way but everything went smoothly, they were very easy to deal with and very reasonably priced.

Overall they were great to work with, follow up was a little hit or miss at times but you can always reach someone to talk to if you have an issue. They are hard working and aim to please. Our patio looks great and they were very willing to work with us. We had a concrete area that we did not want to dig up as it would have added about $10K to the project, they were the only company who we got quotes from who did not try to push me into doing that. Plus, they had a great idea for ways to scale back the retaining wall. We had to install one as our backyard was washing away but it was a major under taking.

From the start, it was very difficult to communicate with this company. They didn't return calls, didn't provide good estimates on when the work would be completed. We understood the rain was making timing difficult but they didn't communicate unless we called them. We finially had to ttalk to the manager of the company to get any feedback at all. They showed up late on a couple of days. They finished the job, but we had to call them back because multiple joints between the pavers were without sand and loose. They repeated the process of filling the joints and sealing the patio. It was not a good experience at all. Much different than the experience when they installed the patio. We were very disappointed in the company. The repair on the retaining wall was adequate.

They have done extensive work for us. They were very reasonably priced. I liked them because they worked with us and came up with their plan and I told them what I wanted and they altered their plan a little bit to accommodate me. They took our suggestions as well. Once they got started, they were pretty fast. They did a very good job and there have been very minor things that I would point out. We had to have a repair done a year later with some lighting and they helped us out. They are replacing some of the plants that they planted and it?s not their fault as the ground cover is not doing very well.

They were excellent. They listened well and their design is very good. Their concept in working was good. The only flaw is the construction but it does not go according to the plan always.

It was a very good experience with compliments to J.D. Durst and Tony. J.D. did the design, offered great vision and advice. He was replacing walks that were a mess. His color and design choices were beautiful. He also did some blue stone accent and curvature design. He answered questions and addressed concerns thoroughly. They have very good onsite quality monitoring. Both owners even came by to check up and check in with us. They were very attentive and answered all of our questions. They didn't handle things lightly at all. The overall experience was wonderful.

J.D. and his crew could not have done better! We are extremely pleased by their quality and craftsmanship. They did a superb job laying the paver bricks for the walkway and patio area in our backyard. They also did great installing the seating wall and fire pit. Unfortunately, bad weather delayed the job by a few days...but that is certainly no fault of BPI's. The employees J.D. has working for him are all professional and extremely courteous. When my wife and I had questions about certain procedures in the building process, Chuck, the project manager, answered them right away. BPI also did some excellent landscaping around all the sides of our house. Since we had everything planted so close to winter, the crew only put in the trees and shrubs at this time. They will be planting the rest of the perennials in the spring. We are very happy with the excellent work BPI did and would use them in the future for any hardscape or landscape projects in the future.

I called almost 4 weeks ago for an estimate on leveling my paver patio and was told that it could be 10 days or so before anyone could get to my house. When I heard nothing after two weeks, I called and left a message for JD. I've left another message since then and still nothing.

Brick Paving was extremely professional. They started the work within the timeframe promised. Once work was started, they were on the job everyday until the work was done. There were some unforseen obstacles, but they were able to make suggestions to deal with the problems. The cost overruns were held to a minimum. The finished patio and landscaping is the look we wanted. We have not been able to use the patio yet, but so far the quality of the construction seems excellent.

The work exceeded our expectations.
