We are very pleased with the results and are happy to have a permanent edging that looks neat and professional.

Initially they came out and did the job well. They said they would be out every other year to put something on it to keep it looking nice. They have yet to come out even though we've filled out the paperwork. They never call us and when we bring it to their attention they say that they will call and that never happens.

The project looks very nice. Jim and Andy were friendly and professional. The contractors helping with the project were also very friendly and professional. The project took two days, which was expected since we increased the amount of border. The crew worked quickly and the final result looks great.

We were very happy with the end result. The was a slight problem with the border around the mini barn, but they quickly came out to fix it. I would recommend this company to others looking for concrete border.

We were fine with the price considering the product. The workers were excellent. They were very neat and respected my property. The owner came out with samples in the back of his truck. I know that they one we chose was supposed to have colorant mixed in. When it was done, there was no colorant. They just put powder on top with a feather duster. When I called him out on it, he called his supervisor. He said that he didn't need to use colorant because there is enough colorant when it comes from the quarry. It's just plan old concrete. I am very dissatisfied with the color. He didn't give us the color that we wanted. He shouldn't have done that to us. He came back later with the crew and dusted more powder on it. He admitted that it would fade away over the years. I think they are willing to come back out and put more powder on. I would not go with them again. I should have been reimbursed for not getting the color that I wanted. The pricing was fair if there wasn't an error with the color.

Jim Ault came to our house in early April and gave us an estimate that included hauling away the old concrete edging stones that I had installed years ago. I thought the price was reasonable and gave a $300 deposit. He said they would be there on or about 6/2/12. He called me on June 3 and said they would be there the next day at 9:30am. His son, Andy, arrived at 9:30 with crew and began work. They were done by about 2:30. Very professional and well done.

The best thing about them was that, before I chose them, they got samples displayed the same, so that I could choose the right one. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

When he arrived and set up... I loved the product! I had a concept for two different designs so asked him to measure and give me prices for both designs (measuring took less than 5 min total). He gave me an estimate and then asked for full payment (cash or check) in advance. My brother had used this gentleman previously and had not payed until the job was completed, so this caught me off guard. I asked him to wait a moment while I contacted my brother and also made certain that I had that much disposible cash available. The cash wasn't a problem, but my brother told me not to write a check in advance...that he would call Jim later to discuss payment. When I told Jim that I would call him back to complete the contract he became very rude. He told me I had given him the worst directions in the world and wasted his time. He went on and on about the 'inconvenience' I was to him. I'd have invited him to leave my home if I hadn't been in shock. When he was finally gone, I was left wondering what had just happened and why. My brother was left stunned by this incident also, because he had recommended Jim as being such a nice person and easy to work with. My brother called him repeatedly and he has yet to return his call (my brother is also 1-2 years into a 10 year warranty with Border Magic) I did like the product but had it installed by Mike who operates Border Magic in Hamilton Co.

They did a fine job. Unfortunately I tripped and fell on it so it had to be fixed again. He gave me a little bit of a break on the price. It was reasonable.

It was fantastic.

Overall, the process was rather simple. We met Jim at a Garden show at the Convention center. We saw samples of Border Magic's work and promptly negotiated the project.

Project went very well. Border Magic was able to start and finish the job on schedule. Border Magic comes with a 10-year warranty for structural-integrity that covers cracking, fading and peeling too. We are very satisfied with work ethic and professionalism of Jim Ault and the employees of Border Magic.

They are very courteous, thorough and they do excellent work. Their customer service is great and the clean everything up before they leave. They also offer a 10 year warranty on their work. I have them back this year doing the same work for me.

The project was extremely well managed from the estimate through the actual installation. The workers showed up on time, worked very diligently, and cleaned up the yard after the work was completed. The team was very professional and polite.

Jim was honest, very fair, courteous, and professional, and went above and beyond more than once. Andy was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The artistic quality of the work is great. Cleanup of excess cement on the outside edges of the edging could have been slightly better but not really a problem in the scheme of things. I feel a got a good deal and great work and Jim has been great with communication and follow-up through the whole process. I would highly recommend them to others.

I would recommend this company. The owner, Jim, was very responsive when I first called and showed up promptly for the appointment. The company ended up installing it before the scheduled time due to a last minute cancellation. I am very happy with the overall look and low maintenance of the border. The process was very simple with them.

Excellent! Excellent in everything. I am very pleased. They were punctual. Their prices were competitive. I would hire them again in the future if needed.

ALL PERSONS INVOLVED WITH THIS PROJECT WERE VERY NICE, PROFESSIONAL, AND GOOD TO WORK WITH. WE WERE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THE PROJECT, BUT MOST WAS PROBABLY OUR FAULT WHICH MAY BE HELPFUL TO OTHERS WISHING TO HAVE THIS DONE AT THEIR HOUSE. THE BORDER WAS SOME WHAT HIGHER (ABOVE THE GROUND), AND MORE MASSIVE THAN WE EXPECTED. BUT OUR BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT HAS TO DO WITH THE COLOR. THE FINAL COLOR IS NOT WHAT WE THOUGHT WE SELECTED. WE SHOULD HAVE ASKED THEM TO STOP AFTER A SMALL PORTION OF THE BORDER WAS LAID, AND ASKED TO CHECK THE COLOR. WE DID NOT STOP THEM BECAUSE THE SAMPLE WAS NOT THERE, AND WE THOUGHT MAYBE THE COLOR WOULD CHANGE AFTER THE BORDER WAS SEALED. WE HAVE NO COMPLAINT WITH EITHER THE PRODUCT OR PERSONNEL. BE SURE YOU ARE GETTING WHAT YOU ASKED FOR.

MR. HILL WAS PROFESSIONAL IN WHAT HE SHOWED, AND EXPLAINING HOW EVERYTHING WOULD BE DONE. WE CHOSE NOT TO PURSUE THIS PROJECT BECAUSE THE COST WAS SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER THAN SOME SIMILAR WORK DONE TWO YEARS AGO.

AS A WHOLE, THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY SATISFACTORY. THE THREE WORKERS WERE TIMELY, POLITE, AND EFFICIENT. THERE WAS ONE ISSUE THAT CAUSED A SHORT TIME DELAY, BUT AFTER TALKING TO THE OWNER, WE CAME TO A COMPROMISE THAT ALLOWED THE WORK TO CONTINUE TO COMPLETION. THE OWNER ALLOWED A PAYMENT PLAN THAT WAS HELPFUL TO THE DECISION TO GO FORWARD WITH THE PROJECT.
