BOB'S CONSTRUCTION

The employees at Bobs worked hard to make sure the job got done for us.

After the leak was repaired, Steve Davis came very timely to give ma an estimate and to schedule the work noted above to be done. The nature of the work required the technicians to make multiple visits, and, for the most part, they were punctual in arriving to complete the work and did a good job.

Both workmen were polite, careful & sensitive to my needs & wanted to always do the job to my specification. Very flexible when things didn't work out; however, they never could give me one full 8 hr. day's work. Had to return 3 times!

Cesar & Jose' did excellent job. Returned phone calls and follow-up.

I think the quality of the work, trim board replacement was very good. They also did caulking around some windows, and that I feel was highly overpriced. Overall A for the trim board replacement and C-minus for the caulking. On price, A for the trim boards and a D for the caulking. I was unhappy about the price that they charged on the minor work that they did for the caulking. I guess I would explain the responsiveness grade by saying I identified a couple more boards that could have been replaced, and they never returned to finish the job. They were here just once, so an A at the time for punctuality, but an F for responding to a recall to complete what was identified as additional things that needed to be done. They did not get back to me after two or three calls. I think the majority of the men were competent and did the work in a timely manner. I think the estimate for the caulking was quite overpriced, and it was not performed as specified in the contract. The man who did it probably took no more than three hours, and the price was $900 because they were supposed to remove a lot of the old caulk before they put in new.

I was supposed to receive the estimate 5 days ago, and I haven't heard from the company after multiple attempts to contact them. I left a voicemail for them, and they returned my call the following day to make sure I still needed an estimate. I then spoke with Steve, and we scheduled the estimate for 8am on a Thursday. He came by on time, and was professional while he was there. He said he needed to have the company carpenter come out look it over a little more thoroughly so they could make an accurate recommendation. Since it was the front porch, the carpenter was just going to stop by, look it over, and get back to Steve. There was no need for us to speak with him. Steve said he'd have the estimate to us that evening or the following morning. Now it's 5 days later. I used the contact form on the company website, and I've called and left them a voicemail. I've received no communication from the company since Steve left my house. Pretty unprofessional.

It took two months. There were probably 15 people. They were professional.

We call on Monday and they came and finished the job on Wed. very efficient. The price is very reasonable.

It went horribly. I had to get the siding guy out there 3 times and still to this day isn't done correctly and is very wavy. Bob himself tried to tell me that's the way it was supposed to look and didn't really get a good vibe from him when first met him. They also tried to replace sections of the siding rather than all of it and called them out on it. The siding workers were incompetent, left cigarette butts in our yard, left nails everywhere and even caused our ceramic vase to break that was on a shelf on the wall. If they would have given us a time to come out we would have removed it. The lesson I learned is to ALWAYS have your insurance company pick the contractor. If not you are stuck to see if the contractor does a good job or not.

Work was to begin on November 16 and be a 3 day process according to Kyle who estimated this job. The house is a little over 1500 square feet. The house was completely empty and the carpet was going to be changed so we were not concerned about paint being spilled ect. The painters ended up pulling up all the carpet to make the area easier to work around. They disposed of the carpet for us at no extra charge which we really appreciated. We also gave them a key since no one was living there and to make coming and going easier. I met with Kyle on the morning of the 16 to sign a contract and give him paint selection. The head painter Mike was to meet us there to go over everything. Bobs construction did not ask for any money down. Payment was to be received upon completion. The job began sometime that afternoon and continued for the next few days. On Friday the day the job was to be finished up they were not close to being finished. Extra people were brought in to help but the job did not get finished. They came again the next day but still did not finish. At that time I was asked for some money by Mike the head painter. He said he had a lot in materials and needed to pay his people. They had make quite a bit of progress by then so I was not opposed to doing that. I wrote out a check that evening to Bobs Construction. At that time we also discussed the job completion. We were not in a big hurry and wanted everything to be done well. The following week days went by and no one showed up or it was only sporadic. On Sunday night November 27 I sent a text to Kyle asking when we could expect the job to be finished up. I did not get a response. The next day I made a phone call to him and left a message and the call was never returned. At this point I was beginning to get a bit nervous and wondered if I should have paid anything. The painters were there on the 29. They were wanting us to do a final walk through that day but there was more to get done then they anticipated. We continued to have some issues with completion and the jobs not totally finished until December 12. I paid Mike a final check on this day for some drywall work that was done in the bathroom. They were there doing touch up that day . On there behalf I will say they touched up some painting on trim and doors that had been caused by flooring installers. The company also did not cash any of the checks until early December when the contracted work was completed. On December the 12 when they were finishing up I asked Mike for the keys to the house back and to get us a paint code for a wall that still needed touch up. He offered to take care of this and even said he would come back by and repaint the wall. Well he did not get me the keys and we have not heard back from him since. We have tried for over two weeks texting and leaving phone messages that have never been returned. We ended up having to change door locks. I will never use this company again or refer them to anyone. I think we paid a lot of money for a job done that I would call average. The house was left a complete mess during the time they were working there. Things that should have been covered up were not. When they left, there was paint in all the sinks that had dried as well as some spots on the floor. Not responding to phone calls is very unprofessional and a poor way to run a business.

They were very prompt and did a great job! From the moment I called them, they arrived 45 minutes later, which was awesome for my emergency situation. They were very helpful and quick and walked me through the door install/ fix.

From beginning bid quote to end of project-all 6 staff in respective trades were professional and courteous excellent job done all the way around! Have asked for more quote on other project.

The window consisted of two parallel sections with a 3-inch air space between (something like a permanent storm window). A previous window washer had gotten water between the two sections by using a pressure washer, which ultimately resulted in unsightly mold growing between the panes of glass. Bob's crew removed the heavy front section, scrubbed the mold with bleach and repainted the window. They also let me take the time to wash the window interior while they had it apart. They made a great improvement in appearance.

The crew was very professional. It was a difficult job and they did an outstanding job.

I put in a bad report and then Angie had them come out and fix it. They came out the next day and even still I was so frustrated with them. I didn't have come him back out to do any of the finishing work. I would tell others not to hire them. They will tell you they are coming one day and two or three days later they still not there. You got to constantly be calling them to ask him if they are going to come out. They just do shoddy work. My plumbing for my mudroom had to be redone because the way they plumbed it, it kept coming back up in my basement. They did the electrical but they didn't fix the drywall that they were supposed to fix where they have to re-cut it. I had to have them come out and fix my bath tub because it had shifted. They dry walled over electric outlet that I wanted to use. The price was outrageous for the service that I got and what was supposed to be a six week job ended up taking three months and still wasn't finished. I had to finish all the dry wall things myself around the light. I was not satisfied with them. I still get upset when I think about them. I would not use them in the future.

It hasn't been going very well so far. They keep saying that it's going to bed and they have just failed deadline after deadline. Now we can't use our bedroom or our bathroom. They start and then they just disappear midway through the day.

Steve came to do the estimate. He did not do any measuring. He said he would email the estimate, either that afternoon or the next morning. That has been almost 2 weeks ago and we still have not gotten the estimate or a phone call about the estimate.

Paul called to let us know he had been assigned the job & he & a helper would be here in 30 minutes, they arrived on time & checked out the job to see what materials were needed before going to purchase materials, they kept me informed & were good workers, they did a great job on gate.

I get a call from Steve Davis, and he came out and gave an estimate which was very reasonable, and said work could start soon. Later that same day Jason and C J showed up and was able to determine that roof was not as extensive in it's repair. Great work! fast! reasonable!

I called and they said they would be out at noon to give me an estimate. He showed up on time and wrote the estimate out. I accepted and he sent them out the next day and repaired the roof leak. I paid them by check and they said they would be back to fix ceiling.

The two workers arrived promptly & went right to work. They were very polite & courteous I would use the company again.

Bob's service men were prompt and helpful – did work well and cleaned up after each day of work.

Everything was great – very friendly and helpful.

Ryan project manager. Paul and Ron did the work and were great. All had good work ethics and great personalities. Could not have asked for better workers. I left so sorry for them due to the severe heat they had to endure, yet they never complained, loved their job and had prats e for Bob who owns company. We felt blessed to have such good workers. It was obvious they wanted to please us with their work-and they did. Bob's construction is blessed to have these guys work for them.
