The whole experience was great! Jeff is great at customer service! I described the damage the best I could to him over the phone, understanding this could have been beyond repair. Jeff said it sounded like he could fix it and gave me an estimate over the phone and scheduled a time to come out and do the work within a week. I'll be honest, my expectations were low just because this shower unit looked like its only hope of being fixed was sending it to an auto body repair shop. I was thinking we would have to replace it, or at least refinish the entire unit. When Jeff looked at it, he admitted it was worse than he imagined (no surprise there) and set our expectations to a realistic probable outcome of the repair if we still wanted him to attempt it. We agreed we would let him give it a shot and he busted out his tools and got to work quickly. This guy is no joke. He comes prepared and has the necessary tools and experience to get the job done. And let me tell you, he GREATLY exceeded our expectations! You would never know there was damage there to begin with unless you were really looking for it and got the perfect angle of light and looked really closely. The only thing you can see if you're looking for it, is the repaired area is very slightly glossier than the rest of the shower because of the newer paint compared to the dulled unit, but like I said, you wouldn't notice it unless you were actively looking for it. I am beating myself over the head for not taking before/after photos. Looking directly at the repaired area from a couple feet away, I can not see a thing! Jeff is the man! And, most importantly, he saved me a ton of dough! I would highly recommend Bath Crest and Jeff for anyone who needs bathtub repair or refinishing.

Thank you very much for the excellant review and very kind words. I too wish we would have taken before and after photos. I have decided to get a decent point & shoot camera just for jobs like this. The repair exceeded even my best expectations as well. While it may not have been the most difficult repair I have done in 23+ years, it was in the top 3 LOL. I always try to do the best I can and get the best repair possible, that day I definately succeded in doing it.

Called and left a message to get price estimate over the phone. Call was returned same day, estimate was given and service scheduled about 1 1/2 week later at my convenience. Arrived on time, was friendly and curteous. Work took approx 2 hours, is watertight and looks great!

Called Jeff on 2/12 and he told me he would be in neighborhood on the 14th and could assist me about noon that day. He arrived as scheduled and did the work. Jeff is a great person and does excellent work. If needed I will use his services again. This is the second time in a year I have used Jeff's services and both times have been very happy with the results.

Jeff was very pleasant to work with and delivered an on-time, on-budget excellent product. Very pleased with Bath Crest.
Description of Work: Undergoing a bath remodel (some of it DIY, some Do-it-for-me). Decided early on to keep our mid-century tub in place and have it refinished. After Jeff was done our old and slightly rust stained tub, looked like a something in a bath show room.

Jeff was such a gentleman. While inspecting the bathtub he noticed a couple other cracks and fixed them too. He was efficient and very knowledgeable and able to explain things so I understood what he was doing. I also had some questions about caulking and he answered all of them and gave some helpful tips. As he was leaving he asked me if I had ever caulked before and I said no. He said when I was ready to give him a call and he would stop by, AT NO COST, and teach me how to caulk! I couldn't believe it. Was very impressed with his kindness and work ethic. He said he'd rather show me how to do it properly rather than have to come out and charge me for fixing the mistakes I would surely make trying to caulk it myself with no previous experience. Would definitely recommend him to friends.

Reglazing work was excellent - the tub looks absolutely brand new. He was more than willing to work with us to see if we could fix the issues by patching (which would have been cheaper). We ended up deciding to do the total refinish, which we were very happy with - but never felt pressured to do the more expensive fix. He would have been willing to do whatever we decided. He also caulked around the tub, and between the tub and floor, which turned out great as well. Wouldn't hesitate to use Bath Crest again.

I needed a tub refinished within a certain timeframe. Jeff was available to do the outside and the feet. He came and did the outside, but did not have enough paint to paint the entire tub, which seemed odd, so we had to wait another week for him to order paint. While waiting for the paint Jeff sent the clawfeet out for refinishing, which was very expensive, but I had no time to shop around for a source myself. Jeff returned about ten days later to paint the outside of the tub and sprayed on the paint. The paint was not even and so Jeff said that he would come back and cover the light spots. He did come back and this time rolled on the paint and recovered the entire exterior of the tub. It seems that rolling it on the first time would have prevented the light spots from spraying, so I wonder why it got sprayed instead of rolled originally. Jeff was very cordial and came back to refinish the outside without delay. Jeff could not make it out to do the inside of the tub in the timeframe we needed, so I had to find another source for reglazing. This turned out to be a good thing, because the new source did the work within three days and for $170 less than what Jeff had quoted the job. Because there seems to be less expensive sources who do quality work, I would use that person in the future.

When the outside of the tub was originally sprayed it was in a small room, like a walk in closet, with less than 3 feet on each side of the tub. This combined with the dangerous fact that there were boards missing on the floor leaving a hole to the ground floor to worry about made spraying the outside of the tub very difficult. Not being able to stand back and see what your spraying is about as effective as spraying it with your eyes closed. The reason I rolled the finish on was because of the newly painted floor, I didn't want to take any chances on getting any overspray on the new floor paint. I'm sorry that you feel like you didn't get a very good deal, especially on the feet but, call around and see what the cost would be for having them coated in a copper color. I am sure you will find that the $150 was a very reasonable price.

We discussed the shower in the master bath because it appeared that a non-standard process was used at the base of the shower. We pulled up the L-shaped "tape" and found extensive mold beneath - disappointing in a newly purchased property! Jeff recommended how this could be mitigated without extensive renovation ... as new home owners, we have a lot of other things to work on right now! Jeff explained to me in detail how to clean up the mold and add bullnose tile at the base of the shower to finish the edges properly. He said that he could do it but it would take him 4-5 hours to do something I could do myself if I was willing to do the work. It took me closer to 8 hours to complete but I would never have started without his encouragement and instructions. He could have easily talked me into letting him do the work but he was honest with me and sensitive to our financial concerns. I appreciate his ethics and would readily call him for glazing or recommend him to friends who needed work.
Description of Work: I spoke with Jeff several times about potentially glazing two showers in a property we just purchased. He agreed to come out to look at them; I was disappointed to find that he could not glaze either of the showers.

I had originally planned on having the whole tub resurfaced but Jeff suggested that just the bottom needed to be done. That saved me $200 and he was right. My one complaint-Jeff didn't bother to remove the drain plate and clean around it. I had this nice new looking tub with a dirty drain.

Our 48 yr old cast iron tub had a dulled bottom, difficult to keep clean and quite slippery. We were to have the tub refinished. When Jeff arrived he told us the tub was really in very good shape and suggested a non-slip coating on the bottom only; a complete refinishing was not necessary (a reduction in price to him). He did re-coat the bottom of the tub and re-caulked the tub and wall corners. it looks great; it works well, the price was reasonable. We're very pleased and would highly recommend his services.

It went very well. I had two issues and described them above but both issues were resolved quickly. I would like to point out that you must have an outside venting window in our near your bathroom to utilize BathCrest's services as they vent excess paint/coating outside.
Description of Work: I called Bath Credit to inquire about their services and had to leave a message but Jeff (the owner) was very responsive and called me back within a few minutes. He explained his services and price so I hired him to re-glaze my 1938 Broadripple tub. He was able to perform the work within a week and was very professional during the whole process. He did the work in the time he estimated and I was vary pleased with the work. There were two issues. One, there is an odor to the process that Jeff said would go away after 24 hours. It took about 48 hours but I am sure it had to do with the fact it was winter and I didn't have a lot of fresh air coming into my house with the windows closed. I knew about the smell so I was not upset about it. The second issue was that Jeff applied a non-slip coating to the floor of the tub but when everything dried/cured I found the floor to be very slick. I called Jeff a few weeks later and he apologized and said the curing must have not happened correctly. He came out the next day and re-applied the coating at no cost and now everything is great. While the initial application was not 100% correct I was very appreciative that Jeff was quick to fix the problem and did it around my schedule. The tub looks great and I am very pleased with BathCrest's services.

He ws on time, took care to cover all exposed surfaces, and explained the process. We were pleased to note that during the process the odor was not overwhelming. When he was finished, he cleaned up everything. He even advised us to replace a part of the tub mechanism and told us where to buy it and how to install it. When he left, he informed us on how long to wait before using the tub and how to take care of the new surface.
Description of Work: Refinished the bathtub surface and edges. Included in the price was a non-slip surface on the bottom and any recaulking that had to be done. Other companies were higher and charged to come back and recaulk. Told us we could do it. Bath Crest was extremely professional, took care not to harm any fixtures and to well ventilate the area. Very pleased with the company.

I had originally called to get an estimate to reglaze an old bathtub - the previous owner had the tub reglazed but the area underneath the faucet was peeling and partly rusted. I explained to Jeff that I just needed to get through the next 6-8 months until I was able to remodel my master bathroom (and get rid of the tub). As I explained this, Jeff stated that I didn't need to waste the money - he would see if there was a way to repair the issues without having to reglaze the entire tub. We arranged an appt - when he came to the house, he confirmed that he could fix the bad areas of the tub, and this would get me through the next few months. I really appreciate Jeff's honesty and integrity - even though it meant that he would lose money. That meant a lot to me!

Bath crest came and refinished tub bottom, sealing tub. No problems since. Also asked him to caulk shower stall in another bathroom. This didn't go as well, caulk pulled away from edges within 48 hours, even though we allowed it to dry more than 24 hours. He'd thrown caulking in as an extra, charging $50 dollars. He was trying to be helpful, but in retrospect, should have declined extra service outside of his scope. The shower stall should have been cleaned and prepped better before caulking. Did a very good job with the tub refinishing though and would recommend for that.

If you had problems with the caulking, I wish you would have called me to make a return trip. If the caulking pulled away that quickly it had to be as a result of hidden water/moisture. Regardless I would have been more than happy to come back out and correct the problem. In 22 years this is only the second time I have had problems with caulking adhesion. The first time it was because of moisture behind the bottom of the tile wall and I did return on that one. I dried it with a heat gun and reapplied the caulking and had no further problems. Never wait 2 months to complain about any kind of work that fails within 48 hours.
