Description of Work: They originally came out to repair my AC as part of my Home Warranty, Doug went well beyond my expectations and offered a ton of advice as well for prevention of issues. After receiving my quote to repair, it wasn't really worth repairing a 17 year old system so I did a cost out and got an entire new system. The owner was great and talked to me about the new unit for several hours and gave me a great deal. They were out on time the day of the install and got everything done in a day. Fantastic service and great guys!

Description of Work: We have used B&J for our ac unit a few years ago and when I *thought* my furnace was on the fritz, I immediately called them again. Brent was nice enough to diagnose my issue over the phone and helped me figure out that the furnace wasn't my issue. It's nice to have a company on speed dial that refuses to take advantage just for the service fee!

Description of Work: The AC wasn't working. I used Angie's list to find a AC/Heating firm to service my Mom's house in Danville IN.B&J Mechanical came up as 1 of 2 companies. I called and reached a young lady who said she had to talk to either B or J (Justin), and would call me back in 10 minutes. 6 hours later I still had not heard from them. I called and talked to the same young lady who told me that she had talked to Justin, and he said that Danville was just outside the territory they covered. They wouldn't work on our trouble. After getting off the phone, I went to their Web Site, and, sure enough, Daville is listed as one of the communities they service. So, why not us?

+ -1 moreWe had a fire and the owner of the company was very good at communicating the issue with all the people involved and he explained everything to us as in what will be covered and what needed to be done and things like that. He was very good at sharing information. He was also timely and did a good job. My overall experience with them was excellent.
Description of Work: I have used B & J Mechanical company for heating and air conditioning services. They replaced a heat exchanger that was cracked in our furnace under warranty.

+ -1 moreWas having trouble with my A/C not cooling and started off by using One Hour Heating and Air (mistake). After this I called my home warranty company (HSA) and they reffered me to Band J Mechanical. I called the office number to set up an appointment and there was a few phone tags, back and forth, all my doing (phone died, office meeting etc.). Brent kept trying to return my calls and eventually he got a hold of me. He set up the appointment for 8pm on a Thursday night, I was so shocked to hear this late appoitment that he was willing to come out at that time. Wednesday came and at 6pm I received a call from Brent stating that with this 100 degree weather he got stuck at a job and would not be able to make it at his time of 8 and asked if we could reschedule, he rescheduled for 6pm that next day, a Friday. He showed up at 5 till 6pm that next day, Friday and started to diagnose. He found that the levels on the A/C were out of whack and investigated further my going in the attic. Found that the intake was not hooked up properly and reattached it, something that the One Hour guy did not even attempt. Once that was attached he sat in the 95 degree weather for 25-30 minutes watching the A/C levels and temperature go to what it should. Unit has been working ever since. I would use this company in a heartbeat again and would recommend this company to anyone!
Description of Work: Was having trouble with my A/C not cooling. Services provided were reconnecting intake duct, recharging the unit, and testing to see the air temp it was blowing out.
