I called B&A, he came out and gave me a quote and then completed the work all in the same day!

I was seeking out quotes on Angie's list to have a pet door installed in an exterior wall in my garage. Since it was an outside wall and I have nice redwood siding on my house, I wanted it installed professionally so it would be properly cut, framed and especially sealed from the outside elements. James at B&A immediately responded to my quote request, gave me an extremely reasonable quote, and was able to come out that week to install the door. Unlike other companies I was getting quotes from, he was wonderful at communicating with me and was able to get the job done about 2 or 3 days later when I was also available. He was right on time, very very friendly, and did a wonderful, professional job installing my pet door. About halfway through the job he showed me how he had framed the door completely with 2x4s. I greatly appreciate service like this so I know that the job is being done right. Some people could just quickly install the door and I wouldn't know what's going on with the inside of the wall...and have later problems with that wall. James did a wonderful job, at a very reasonable price, and was very fast and professional. The entire job maybe took an hour, if that, and I am very satisfied with the pet door. A month and a half later the door is holding up just as I expected. I have plans to do some kitchen remodeling in the future and I will definitely go to B&A Remodeling first.

B & A added additional sealing around a front door and also added some sealing in the basement. They were able to come out immediately and performed the job quickly, efficiently, cleanly and at a reasonable price. It was clear that they knew what they were doing.

They were good, professional, communicated well with me, and they were punctual. I would recommend to other users that I bought the product myself and I would not recommend the product I used because it is a kit. Rather than using the kit use their product and have them apply the coating because they actually do more coats and do a better job. They gave me a time estimate and with the kit they were able to do the job in much less time because they could put on one less coat. I did have one concern and that was since it took them less time to finish the job I thought I could get some type of refund for the time that was saved. They told me it was quoted by the job not the days or the hours.

They were very punctual. They came out when they said they would. They were very neat and clean with their work. I was gone during the day. They ripped out the tile floor completely in the bathroom. When I came home I thought they hadn't even been here. There wasn't one trace of dust from painting the floor. They left with all the stuff torn out to come back the next day to do the retiling. They had to do some other work on the floor first. I allocated some space in the garage where they could store some things. It was very neatly done and I was very impressed. They worked the whole day. I would recommend them.

B&A showed up on Friday morning and worked through Monday to get our house ready for sale. They got the work done quickly and thoroughly and with a sense of humor. Good advice was provided throughout the project and they even helped me set up a water feature outside and didn't charge for it. B&A lived up to all their commitments and more and did so at a very reasonable price. I would definitely hire again for the next project when needed.

During a storm last year, we had a piece of siding blow off the fascia of the house. After contacting numerous businesses that install siding without success, I decided to try an individual recommended on Angie's list. James responded promptly to my request. In July, he began a search for a piece of siding that would match ours. Between July and September, he kept us informed of his progress. He found it difficult to locate a piece so he recommended that we purchase a roll of siding which we did. He was also able to custom order a roll of siding that is the same color as the existing siding. As soon as the siding was delivered, James promptly installed it on the house and it looks great. We kept the extra siding in case of other repairs that may need to be made. I know who I will call the next time. B and A Remodeling

I called James to get an estimate on laying a particular type of vinyl flooring in various locations in my home. When he came to my house to look at the space, he mentioned that he had researched the type of flooring I had requested. He told me that his company policy was that he wouldn't put something into a customer's home that he wouldn't put into his own home. Since the ongoing maintenance required on the floor I had requested was extremely high (we're talking "wax" floors), he said he would not install it. He gave me several alternatives for flooring types and explained why they would be far more suitable for my purposes. He was not trying to sell me flooring, so it was clear to me that he wanted to make sure that he was installing the most suitable floor for the space. I have decided to go with ceramic tile for my entryway and will have him install that as soon as I get the space ready. I was also looking to have tile installed in my basement. However, I was having some water leakage into the space and wanted to try to address that issue before I had him put in new flooring down there. He determined that the problem was with drainage from the gutters, or lack thereof. So, I arranged to have him come out and install new gutters on my covered wooden porch, attach drainage tubes to the bottom of several existing downspouts and reattach a sagging gutter on the back of my house. He was back out on the first non-rainy day we had! While he was on the ladder reattaching the gutter in the back, he noted that the reason it had come unattached was that it was filled with gravel that had come off my roofing shingles and a lot of dead leaves. Not only that, but the downspout was completely plugged with dead leaves. Needless to say, we added "clean out existing gutters" to the work order! The next few days after he finished the work on my gutters were rainy. He called to see how the gutters were working out and whether the wetness in the basement was any better. I was delighted to report that no new water had entered the basement! This included the corner from which there is usually a steady stream of running water! I'm eager to finish getting my house ready for him to lay the flooring so I can write about what a great job he has done on that!

James Benson gave us estimates on each job, and completed them on time and within estimates. He showed up at agreed times and had the right tools and knowhow. We are very pleased.

I have used Mr. Benson in the past for various home improvement projects including tile flooring, vinyl sheetings, epoxy floor fixing, cabinet repairs, strip/refinish/stain furniture.

It went very well. He showed up on time. The price was reasonable. When he arrived he completed the work in 4 hours and he cleaned up well. He even fixed a few other things that weren?t even in the bid.
