Going into the lease I noticed some things that needed to be addressed in the unit prior to taking occupancy. The landlord agreed that he would address all of these issues. After living in the unit for some time, I realized that the landlord was not taking interest in fixing the issues with the unit. I soon found mold growing on the walls and the carpet. The floor in the kitchen is very uneven and I was told that this would be fixed, but has never been addressed. I reached out to the landlord to notify him of the mold issue and he came out to inspect. He tried to reassure me that this was not in fact mold and then said that he never agreed to fix the issue we had discussed. Due to the uneven floor, I ended up falling one night and injuring my leg, and due to the mold issue I have been experiencing breathing problems. I decided to take it upon my self to address the mold issue and called the county health inspector out to check on the issue. He told me that he was not a mold expert but it sure looked like a severe mold issue. I have documented everything that needs to be addressed (especially the mold) and attached the pictures below. I asked the property manager, Rob, if he would allow me to be let out of the lease due to unlivable conditions. He would not, and insisted that If I didn't pay the rent I would be taken to court and evicted. I feel like this landlord is treating me unfair and not addressing serious concerns that involve mold and my health. I am prepared to take what ever legal action I need to in this situations to protect my rights as a renter. I feel that nobody should have to live in these substandard conditions and take the verbal assaults I have received from the landlord.

Rob has been our PM for about 3 years now. He and his office MGR, Pat are truly the best team. They are prompt at responding to our needs, highly experienced in their field, very diligent in their work ethics, and they have integrity. What else can you ask for in your team? We love these guys so much we are buying more homes in their area just so we can have piece of mind that everything will be cared for. They treat our properties as if it's their own. Kudos to you Axiom!! :)
