The project went fantastically well! We researched the company and owner (Mark Strack), called for a site visit to describe our project and a price quote and timeline. The assignment was not just a usual gutter replacement as the material is heavy copper and included custom fabricated copper components. We had contacted a number of highly rated gutter companies but none, it seemed, took the project seriously (copper gutters are comparatively expensive and they likely thought we would no proceed). Mr. Strack, on the other hand, was professional and diligent throughout, even at the estimating/quotation stage before we had an official agreement. The custom components were six conductor heads found on older homes in Meridian/Kessler (we live in a 1993 Carmel home). We identified the style of the copper conductor heads from pictures from the internet and Mr. Strack hand fabricated those pieces (they look terrific). Then he and his staff removed the old gutters, disposed of the material, prepared the wood gutter boards by filling on old gutter spike holes and painting the wood which was hidden behind the gutters for 18 years. Then they fabricated and installed 20 ounce copper gutters (usual is 16 ounce so these are heavy copper, difficult and heavy to work with) and installed pre-fabricated copper downspouts. We provided a 50% deposit (he ordered the custom copper material upfront which was a significant cost). We tried to get this done in November 2010 but the weather turn cold and they couldn't paint the gutter boards so the project was delayed until warmer weather in April 2011. When the weather was favorable Mr. Strack was out to perform the fabrication and installation. The workmanship is top notch. Since Mr. Strack is talented and in demand we suggest you plan ahead accordingly. Was it worth the money? Yes. Would we use him again? Yes. Did he live up to the letter and spirit of our agreement? Yes. Couldn't be happier. No flaws. No difficulties.
