+ -1 moreGot a immediate call back from Jim Atkinson. Arranged a time for him to come out, communication was great, and he took his time and assessed the problem. It ended up being something really simple. He was very honest. Did a great job. I would definitely recommend the company.

+ -1 moreI found out that I could have had something fixed years ago today when I had another company come out. A part that they said was irreplaceable, in fact was replaceable, they would have just had to have worked a little harder. I am generally displeased with them overall.
Description of Work: They replaced my compressor outdoors in 2000. I had continual leaks for 3 years. The compressor locked up, so they replaced that in 2003, I still continued to have leaks after that. They then replaced the inside air handler, which I still had freeon leaks after I replaced the air handler and heat exchange coil. Three years later, I had a drip pan break because of substandard installation of the pipe--they didn't have a strap to support the hose, and it caused the plastic to break and leak--it took them 5 months to get that pan in October of 2008. In May of 2008 I put in more freeon and by the next spring, I was out of freeon again. This was last year I finally decided I wasn't going to call them anymore.

+ -1 moreThey did such a great job of sealing my system I noticed a definite change in my HVAC system, it’s a lot more efficient now. They did extremely good work. I would absolutely hire them again.
Description of Work: They worked on the HVAC ventilation system. In the crawlspace, they resealed the vents and reassembled the HVAC system. They cleaned out the furnace.

+ -1 moreI found out that some PVC attached to my furnace was recalled and could possibly leak carbon monoxide. I went through the recall set up by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. I contacted Atkinson's to do the work, in spring of 2008, since he was a contractor registered with the recall program. I did not hear back from them for several months. Finally I called and spoke to Joe again and he said he was waiting on me to submit info to the CPSC (which I had already done). After I contacted the CPSC again, Joe called me in November to say he would be out to do the work, but he needed to see the furnace again. I did not hear from him again until I called the beginning of January 2009. He said he would be out that week to perform the work. I have not heard from him since. I am not going to have him perform the work considering the poor customer service I have had.
