Description of Work: Aerate and overseed front and back yard. When I spoke with the owner to schedule service he explained that he wanted to wait as long as possible in hopes we would get some rain first because the aeration is not as helpful if the soil is extremely dry. We scheduled a date but did not receive any rain prior to the service date. I expected to hear from the owner to move the date because of the extreme dryness, but 2 workers arrived on the set date and quickly ran across the yard with the aerator and spred seed. I tried to ask a couple of questions about watering and was given minimal instructions and was told it was really too dry for the aeration to be effective. I was advised to water everyday to keep the soil moist. |I did water everyday for several weeks (except for the days When it did rain). The plugs were so dry they crumbled within a day and the holes collapsed in almost immediately so I doubt that the yard was actually aerated. No grass ever came up, despite the watering. I think if the weather conditions had been more favorable, this treatment and seeding could have been helpful, but the moisture in the soil needs to be taken into consideration also.
