It was excellent, they were very professional, they do thing very smoothly, courteous, come on time and they just do a great job. Their pricing is very reasonable and we depend on them.
Description of Work: At the end of summer, we had an automatic pool cover and they put a heavy winter cover above it. We found winter cover very practical because it protects the pool in the winter better than our regular cover.

This year when we tried to open it, we discovered that it would not open. We have called the company and tried to schedule appointments to fix the cover, but they continue to cancel the appointments. They do not seem apologetic whatsoever for disregarding our needs. Their inability to stick to promised dates has created scheduling problems with the other companies we are using to open our pool.
Description of Work: The company installed a brand new pool cover for us last year, towards the end of May.

Response from Aquatic Enclosures
The [Member Name] contacted our office during Memorial Day week and requested a tune up on their automatic pool cover system. We explained that we would try to get them in, but it would be the following week for our calendar was full. [Member Name] told us that he would get somebody else, and hung up the phone. [Member Name] called the following week and was rude to our office. She demanded that we send a crew to her house that day or she would file a complaint with Angie’s List. Not once during the multiple phone calls from [Member Name] did they mention that the cover system was not working. They only requested a tune up of the system. Indeed, we installed a new cover fabric on their pool in May of 2013. The[Member Name] did not return any of our phone calls requesting payment for our service. Conveniently, one of our office staff takes classed at Ball State where [Member Name] is employed. He stopped by [Member Name] office in person twice to request payment and after months of waiting, we were finally paid for that service. We respect the Angie’s List process but do not believe it should be used as a tool against contractors who simply want to perform an honest service and to be paid for such service.

It went great. The two men that came to our house were very diligent and worked very hard. It took them about half the day to tackle this job. I am very satisfied with the work that was done. Our new pool cover looks and operates great.
Description of Work: They replaced my automatic swimming pool cover. As part of the service they replaced the ropes, cleaned out the box, and performed general maintenance.

Aquatic Enclosures did the most extensive cleaning that I have ever received. They completely took apart the entire assembly and oiled and tuned the mechanical parts along with cleaning out the cover storage box. I would use them again.

I assumed that since the cover and fabric were installed not even 3 months prior that there would of course be no charge. Clearly there was something faulty with the installation of the cover and fabric in the first place. Had the fabric and installation been performed correctly, it would not have come out of its track and fallen into the pool. I received an invoice dated August 7 for $755 ($40 for a service call and $715 to fix the cover). I promptly called their office to contest this invoice. The woman who answered the phone indicated she would have to call me back after she talked to Matt. They called back a couple of days later and indicated I had to pay the bill because it was considered and quot;user errorand quot;. They said because someone else was taking care of the pool, they might not have opened it correctly. When I asked how this could be as the only thing a person had to do was turn a switch, she said and quot;maybe there was water on the coverand quot;. I asked her how there could be water on the pool cover when we hadn't had rain in weeks. We were in the middle of the worst drought in years?? There was no response. I indicated I wanted to set up a meeting with the owner and discuss this matter further. She took my name and number. I did not receive a call back. I called again and left a message, still no response. Finally, since no one would return my calls, I decided to send a letter to the company expressing my concerns. I indicated I wanted to solve the matter amicably and promptly. I gave them my cell phone number and my email address. I never received a call or an email. I heard nothing at all until I received a second invoice, dated November 28, 2012. The invoice simply had a dollar amount $755 and hand written very large and quot;Final Noticeand quot;. So, I received the first invoice August 7 and a second invoice 4 months later, with absolutely no response to my phone calls or letter. At this time, I would recommend people stay far away from this company. However, if they take the time to contact me and resolve the matter fairly and promptly, I would be happy to reevaluate the situation.
Description of Work: When I was out of town this summer (late July 2012), I had my mother and a friend take care of my pool for a few days. They were to simply come and open the pool for a couple of hours each day and then close it. I clearly demonstrated to them what they were suppose to do (not that opening an automatic pool cover is a difficult task, as you just turn a switch.) During one of the checks, the pool fabric became separated from the tracking system during the normal open/close procedures. I would like to add, that this automatic pool cover had recently been installed by this company (Aquatic Enclosures) in late April (2012) for $2167.10. So, at the time of the incident, the pool cover was merely 3 months old. The pool cover quickly filled with water. As it was late evening when this occurred, I called Aquatic Enclosures the next day. The call was returned promptly and Matt, the serviceman, came out around 9:30 a.m. that morning. By that point, there was a great deal of water on the pool cover. According to the invoice, Matt had to "take the lead bar off and tried to manually open the cover. he dove to the pool with dive equipment and recovered the half of the cover from the bottom of the pool. Pumped water off cover. Pumped water back into pool. Secured fabric into track."

Clint was very responsive when called. We explained that we not only needed a new auto-cover for our pool, but that we would like to have our cover track screwed in with new stainless steel screws. He explained that he would do that as well as clean all of the mechanisms, replace the pulleys and the rope. He and his partner arrived on time, worked all day until the job was complete. We were extremely happy with the work and his price. They cleaned up and left my pool area in a neat condition - taking with them the old cover as well. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced auto pool cover, as well as the ropes, pulleys, cover rollers, and new stainless screws in the track. He also cleaned the take up area for the cover and greased all fittings and made all adjustments.
