We had our Broadripple home on the market "For Sale By Owner" and through a MLS listing service for almost 9 months, trying to save some money. We were frustrated with the lack of traffic through our home and had no 2nd showings and no offers. We decided to interview several Agents to help sell our home and to try to take advantage of the Tax Credit. We met with Andy and were impressed with his level of detail. This was not something that we had seen from the other Agents. He was so thorough and detailed, that we were a bit concerned that it might not be a good fit for us since we are pretty "laid back". We decided that he was the best choice given his extensive network of contacts, his sustained and impressive list of successes at FC Tucker and because we were certain he would not let any detail slip. Andy listed our home and sold it in about 20 days. He was able to generate a ton of interest in our home and we had more showings in a couple weeks than we had in almost a year previously. When the offer actually came in, he contacted another buyer's agent that had shown interest in the house to let them know of the offer and consequently started a "bidding war" on our home. We received our asking price and were able to negotiate additional time to move out. Andy also found the home for us that we subsequently purchased - it was the first house of about 30 that we looked at. It was an AMAZING home that we probably would have missed had he not scheduled the showing, as we were looking in a totally different area. Once our offer on the new home was accepted, we thought we were home free. But instead, this is when the hard work really started - the home had faulty siding that was discovered during the inspection. We spent the next two and a half weeks negotiating back and forth on appropriate compensation for the siding. The seller was less than cooperative, but Andy knew just how to handle it. He was aggressive and knowledgeable, he brought in experts and focused in on getting him to do the "right thing". It was a tough negotiation process and without Andy by our side, I am confident that we would have either lost the house or had to take a significant financial hit on the siding. I cannot say enough GREAT things about Andy. He is so good at what he does and he does it with such passion. I am so grateful that we chose him to be our Realtor, I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home - you won't be sorry.
