Description of Work: Asked for a guttering quote 3 weeks ago. They came out and I never received a call or quote. I went with someone else. The new company is doing my gutters and an additional 7000 in exterior home improvement. Obviously they thought this job was only going to be for gutters. They lost out on 10,000 job. I have let my entire neighborhood association know never to use amos.

Description of Work: Little upset that salesperson did not know my siding color was discontinued. This presented a delay as well as a major price increase. Contractor stated color had been discontinued for 2+ years.

Description of Work: I contacted this provider regarding gutter repairs. I called twice, but never got a call back. I understand it's a busy time of year, especially with all the weather issues, but I think I should have received a call back.

Description of Work: I requested roofing estimates from three Angie's List roofing contractors. Two called me back promptly and set up specific appointment times to visit our property and provide estimates. At Amos, office staff advised that the estimator would call me to set up an appointment. The following week, the estimator, Ray, called me to discuss our job. I described that I needed a tear-off of two layers of shingles and a complete re-roof of our ranch house and possibly our boat-house. I wanted him to come as soon as possible and suggested days available that same week. He said he was unable to give me a time or date that week. I then suggested the following Monday or Tuesday. He said he would call Monday morning to schedule. I told him I would stay home on Monday to receive his call and to meet with him. On Tuesday, he called at lunchtime and said he could possibly make it in the late afternoon around four PM. Since it was my wife's birthday and I had promised to take her out that afternoon, I asked if he could come sooner. He could not. My conclusion is that Amos or possibly only Ray are more interested in their own welfare than they are of mine. If that is their attitude in giving estimates, I'd hate to think how they treat people when applying the roof or handling any other customer issues. Avoid Ray is my suggestion.

Description of Work: Originally called for a new gutter install estimate. I told the receptionist that I was having the house painted and then wanted new gutters. She volunteered that Amos Exteriors could do both the painting and the gutter install. So she sent out a nice man who was to give me an estimate on painting the house and installing gutters. Two weeks lapsed, no estimate. I called again and was told that they were too busy to put in gutters and that I should check the Better Business Bureau to find some one else. But my painting estimate would come via email the next day. The following day I got a call from Linda saying they were too busy to even paint my house and would not give an estimate. Now mind you, I had to take off time from work to meet with the estimator and have wasted time in the meanwhile. Amos guttering did put in gutters last year in another property I own and despite being a repeat customer I was treated in an indifferent rude manner. I would not recommend.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate on roofing repairs needing to be done. The receptionist was extremely friendly and nice. Because of the busy season right now it has been hard to get people out to look at the roof before I leave in August, however, she worked to fit me in before my move! It really shows alot about a company that will offer to expedite something due to certain circumstances. I'll leave another review after it is all done.
