AMERICAN WINDOW & GLASS INC

After a week of unsuccessfully searching hardware stores for a replacement handle for my sliding glass door, I was richly rewarded today by two very helpful gentlemen of the American Window and Glass Company. The windows and doors of my home were installed eleven years ago and came with a warranty from American Window and Glass Company. Though the door handle was no longer covered, I had a company name to start my second week of searching. On Monday January 9, 2012, I contacted American Window and Glass via telephone and was told they did indeed carry the handle and where their facility was located. On Tuesday January 10, 2012, after receiving specific directions to their door, I told ‘Matt’ my problem and what I was looking for. He happily went to retrieve a sliding door handle kit. In minutes he returned holding just the handle (the only piece I really needed) and said if this was the only part I needed, then it was mine with no charge. This just made my day as I was beginning to think I would never find a replacement handle. I left with a smile on my face and a wish to share my experience with American Window and Glass Company with other Angie’s List subscribers. What a great group of employees they have at American Window and Glass Company. They went out of their way to give me exact directions over the telephone and they were extremely nice to me in their establishment. If I ever need anything for my windows or doors in the future, I will certainly contact them first. I would also recommend them to others.
