Their quote was not quite the lowest, but close to it (I received far higher quotes from some of their competition), however I chose Bill's because of their reputation and because Bill himself reminded me of my personable father-in-law. | |Bill said they would clean up everything before they left, though frankly I did not entirely believe him. Yes, they cleaned up everything! | |All the cutting work was done by an experienced tree climber using ropes and foot spikes. No heavy equipment was brought into the yard. Several trees greatly overhung my house and utility shed, and even those limbs were lowered down by rope. | |The job started at 7:30am and was done by about 3pm, including wood removal and clean up. Bill's competitors said it would be a 2 or 3 day job. | |Were there any downsides? Description of Work: I had six bushes in the front of my house that needed removal. Bills tree service came out, gave me an estimate that was extremely fair, then came and removed the bushes, and ground out the stumps!!!! I would definitely use their service again!!! And I highly recommend them to everyone else!!!!

Description of Work: First of all, the big deal stated that we would get an email from the company within two days. Wasn't contacted until nearly 3 weeks later. Got this email: Thank you for purchasing the coupon from Angie's List. We apologize for the delay in contacting you. Unfortunately we do not have computer access at our office so please call our office at (317)547-8733 to set up an appointment for someone to meet with you and go over the work you would like to have performed. Sincerely, Bill's Tree Service They came out for an estimate, and that went well. They said the communication mishap was a mix up with Angie's List. Due to the amount of extra work that was suggested, I decided to get a few other estimates and ended up choosing a different company to do the work, thus not needing the coupon.

Description of Work: We purchased the Big Deal for $200. The work was never performed. We never got to discussing the tree work we needed done. We understood from the offer that Bill's Tree Service would be contacting us, but they never did. When we contacted them, they said that was never the understanding. It is the purchaser's responsibility to contact them. We arranged an appointment for October 18 at our home. Just 15 minutes before the scheduled time, we received a call saying they would not be coming. We rescheduled for October 22. No one showed up. When we contacted Bill's Tree Service, the office did not know why Bill had not arrived at our house. Later we received a call from a man who identified himself as Bill's son. He said Bill was at the doctor's office. The son explained that his father had been in and out of the doctor's office over the previous two weeks. He also complained about the amount of money Bill's Tree Service receives out of the total we paid for The Big Deal. We requested our money back because this deal just seemed like more trouble than it was worth. He said he couldn't help us. Angie's List did refund our money.

Description of Work: Bill came out and gave me an estimate for several trees in my yard, two that really needed to come down. He gave me a more than fair estimate. His crew consisted of Bill's son Cody and a great team of guys. They did a wonderful job cutting and removing all limbs, branches, etc. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Bill came out and gave me an estimate. It was over the amount of the Big Deal. It seemed a little high compared to other tree services that I had had performed in the past. We negotiated the price to what I could afford and he was very polite and accomodating. The day of service his son, Corey came out with 4 other men, and they quickly and professionally did the services requested. They did a great job and did a great job of cleaning up, too. They were so good, that my next door neighbor came over and signed them up to do tree trimming for him. I would hire them again.
