Allen's Tree Service

Corey Allen and his team do a great job of remaining in contact regarding scheduled service dates and any potential changes to same. As before, our experience was a great one. Corey and his crew did a great job of removing trees and trimming several others and we're in good shape for another year or so (we have over 2 acres, much of which is wooded). While Corey estimated the add on work that day in sections, in the end his final price came in a bit below the summation of the estimates, which is always nice. The stump removal portion of the ash tree was subbed out, but in about a week or so, those folks arrived and were in and out in about an hour or a little more and that part of the service was great as well. I recommend Corey Allen and Bill's Tree Service and as before, I intend to use their services again.

Team arrived about 9:30 AM and was amazing to watch the group take down the 80 inch circumference 50 ft. fall maple tree in an area 15 ft. from my front door. They did a great job of cleaning up and finished in slightly more than 2 hours. This was the fourth time in past 12 years I have used this company for tree work. Thank you to Corey and team.

They were courteous and efficient. Job was done quickly and they arrived when they said. Cleaned up well afterwards.

Crew arrived as scheduled, Work went well. 1 dying tree addressed, negotiated and added to removal. Change in one tree topping to removal based on deterioration of tree at the base - negotiated and added to complete tree drop and removal. Crew very respectful including the addition of saving some large sections for a wood working friend and the assist of loading these into friends truck. Great clean up after work was completed. Great people to work with. Business name has apparently been changed from when initial estimate was done. It is now Allen's Tree Service. Insurance certification was primarily in the Allen's Tree Service name with Bill's Tree Service also named. No issue getting a copy of the Insurance Certification. when requested. Large Cherry tree was the main removal for this quote. It was near the house, well cap, eletric overhead wire service lines, and fencing. They handled through climb and drop with no incidence. Impressive work! Tree was far too tall for easy bucket truck handling.

We love them. We competitively bid that job and they worked with us so the price was very reasonable for us for the 19 trees. I believe they even threw in a couple more because there was another supplier that came in very close with them. They were quick, they cleaned it up and told us exactly what to expect. They were prompt and honest.

Bill arrived promptly and was able to give a variety of estimates based on different work. The woodcutters were careful and conscientious and did a very good job. They were also cheaper than any other estimate we had.

Amazing team work! Corey's team moved like one body. You could tell they knew how to do the job safely and efficiently. The first appointment took care of a diseased tree split down the middle and dangerously close to the road, and once the tree was down our main tree (very tall) in the front yard was trimmed down. None of our trees had ever been trimmed before. Corey assessed the work, provided an estimate, and planned what would be done in detail. As scheduled - the team arrived bright and early in the day - they brought heavy equipment in to reach the tree tops and cut down and grind the branches. It was really fascinating watching the team move in and around our trees. They truly are experts at what they do and they cleaned up really well before they left. Each member of the team had their own responsibility - but each one worked in conjunction with the other - assuring for a complete and thorough job! These guys are masters at their craft! I'll definitely call on them in the future!

I have used Bill's tree service in the past and was pleased. However, this time, I clalled and left two messages and never received a call back. Very strange.

This is the best tree service we have used. Corey met with me to provide a proposal, was very easy to communicate with, and arrived when he said they would. His team worked quickly and did an excellent job! I will certainly call them in the future for any tree service we need.

They cut down a dead ash tree in the back yard that was right next to our fence and wooden playset. They came when they said they would, did a perfect job in a very tight situation, cleaned up nicely, and were very friendly and professional. Several weeks later, they came and ground up the stump and did a fantastic job. And, in all this, they did the service without accepting any payment until the job was completely finished and then they mailed the invoice. A large ash tree, cut, removed, stump ground, all for $625. Other quotes were as high as $1500. Definitely keeping their info!! Highly recommended!!

We had a tree fall on two of our vehicles after a storm. Corey arrived approx 15 minutes after we called to give us a quote and had the job finished and cleaned up in the time agreed upon. The entire process was very smooth and was completed while my husband and I were at work!

I can describe the work performed in one word - FANTASTIC! Corey directed a team of about 6 guys who worked together with the precision of the workings of a watch. Corey offered a few instructions to the team but the team operated safely and as efficiently as anything I have ever seen. The quality of their workmanship was excellent and they had the two trees down and cleaned up very quickly. I mentioned to Corey that it is likely that I will invite them back again next year to take out a couple more trees and will recommend them to a son of mine who is considering whether to remove a large tree in his front yard. My advice to anyone who needs any trees removed - Call Bill's Tree Service.

I called Bill's Tree Service and Bill Allen came and gave me an estimate for the removal of a tree a large bush that had grown to the size of a small tree. The original date was for Saturday but rain was predicted so we rescheduled for Sunday afternoon. They came, did the work in a fast and professional manner and when they left, I would never had known that I had tree removed, bush taken down. They also trimmed back my dogwood tree. They were very careful, courteous and did a great job. I would recommend them and I would use them again. Good service.

Quoted us less than $750 to remove tree, grind stump, and clean and haul it all away. They showed up on time and did a perfect job of it. When I asked about quotes on other projects, the head guy on the crew (Corey, Bill's son), was honest (like "don't trim an oak in full heat of summer; it can seriously damage it" and "don't wait until the other ash is completely dead; they cost more to remove when dead. Most people won't tell you that: they'll just take your money and run."). He's right; I had several Angie's List companies quote on the dead tree and the not-so-dead tree plus the oak out front. Not only did no one mention those tidbits to me, some suggested we wait to do the ash for a couple more years, "when it's good and dead." Plus, every single one of them was nearly double or way more than double the price quoted by Bill's Tree Service. AND, he refused even partial payment for the tree removal until AFTER they come back for the stump grinding. Wouldn't take a penny. HONEST!! And quality work. Will DEFINITELY hire again.

Tree was removed to ground level. Area was amazingly cleaned up.

The work covered a half acre of property and most of the debris had to be hauled manually to the front of the house. Small trees were removed and fallen trees sawed up into sections for removal. Corey was just a pleasure to work with and the work exceeded expectations. The price was very reasonable (well below competitive bids), the crew professional and friendly, and work was completed on time. Despite the manual nature of the work there was no damage to the lawn and surrounding plant beds. We were extremely pleased with their work and will certainly use Bill's Tree Service again.

They did an excellent job at a very reasonable cost. They were punctual and professional. After the trees were cut down, I needed to have the stumps ground down before a certain specific date. Bill's Tree Service was very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that the stumps were ground down by the date requested. I would recommend them and would use them again.

The company was very responsive to phone calls and email, but not very proactive. I had been told to expect a two-week wait before the trees could be removed, which was fine with me, but then I was the first to call to find out whether we were on the schedule. (Perhaps I just beat them to the punch.) They came out on the morning they were expected; however, I had the day off and had to call to find out whether they'd be here in morning or afternoon. (I did get a prompt return call with a time to expect them, and they showed up at the appointed time.) They performed the work quickly and efficiently, for the price quoted. They did have to come back to grind the stumps because the utilities had not yet been marked. I appreciated the fact that they didn't delay the tree removal but went ahead and did the part of the job they were able to do. We were surprised, however, when they just showed up to take care of the stumps without an advance phone call. Also, they left a rounded pile of wood chips--I expected that the holes would be filled in but did not expect to see a pile of chips above ground. A relative who got quotes on tree removal said that all of her quotes included filing in the stump holes with dirt (not chips) and re-seeding, but that never came up in any of the estimates I received (from three companies), including Bill's. These are minor issues. I would have been interested in a dirt infill and re-seeding but didn't know to ask about it. Overall, we were pleased with the company's quote, the way they cleared the trees out, and their responsiveness to our communications. I would call them again.

They did an excellent job. I actually wasn’t here. The next morning when I came back in town, the yard was clean and everything was in good shape. They were courteous and friendly. They did a fine job.

I used Bill's tree service 3 years ago and was happy with their service. They removed two trees leaving the stumps about 10 inches from the ground. So when I got 3 bids for the removal of another tree, they were the first one I called. Their bid came in $50.00 cheaper then the next bid and since they had done a good job last time I called them. They came out to do the job and had the tree down quickly. Corey came to my door and said we have a problem, there are nails in the tree. So I followed him out to look at the tree and see the nails myself. I could not see any nails and I ask where are the nails, what do you mean? He pointed to the middle of the waist high stump and said here. He stated that he broke two chains trying to cut the stump. I could not see any hesitation cuts and I saw no nails. When I told him I was not happy with the stump being waist high, he stated that he could keep cutting but I would have to pay for each chain he broke about $75.00 per chain. I felt like I was being held for ranson and against my better judgment I paid him and they left. After they had gone I remembered three years ago that Corey had told me the same story about one of the trees they were cutting down. He stated that there were nails in the tree and they could cut no lower. At that time his father Bill was on site, and I complained that leaving the stump that high was not the deal that we had made. They continued to cut the stump and left the stump 10 inches from the ground. Nothing more was said about nails and the job was done to my satisfaction. I believe I have been lied to. I cannot believe that there would be nails in the middle of a grown tree nor can I imagine how they would get there. I did not ask to see the broken chains and in hind sight I should have. However the bid wad for taking the tree down to about 10" from the grould and instead I have a waist high stump in the middle of my yard.
