Description of Work: We had several electrical repairs needed; light kit not working on a ceiling fan, door bell not working, landscaping lights and light pole not working. Two friendly and professional individual's arrive on time and worked nonstop until the work was finished. All the repairs were completed except for the light pole which needed a new electrical line to the house. I would definitely recommend Advance.

Description of Work: Bob and DJ are awesome. Very responsive and easy to work with. Bob has been an electrician for over 30 years and has seen just about everything I think. We have old knob and tube wiring in our "Historic" Meridian St home and he and DJ have helped assure our safety. From April-August 2010, They did lots of various electrical services for us and very reasonable pricing. We have spent a good chunk of change, but our house is much more functional and safe now. I felt all prices were completely 100% fair. I highly recommend Bob for any electrical need. He and his wife Barb who schedules the appts for him are both super nice. They are almost like a favorite aunt and uncle to me now. At the very beginning after we moved in our "money-pit" house... Barb would call out of the blue and would be so helpful! She would say Bob said you were looking for a "x" contractor, and they would refer me to other contractors who are honest, reliable and excellent service providers. They said they don't like seeing people getting taken advantage of by random service providers, so they graciously helped me find great contractors to do odd jobs... and major repairs... And all of the referrals have been spot-on! Here are just a few jobs they have completed. And we have had no problems with anything they have fixed. Fixed it once and it is forgotten. Everything works like it should. ~grounded and replaced over 50 plugs from 2 prong to 3-prong per our request, ~updated GFI and got things up to "code" ~repaired really REALLY old light fixtures and newer recessed can lights ~fixed outlets that haven't worked in years, shimmy-ed wires through plaster without having to rip plaster out... ~Installed exterior motion detector security lights on our house and garage ~repaired and grounded exterior outlets by our pool/hot tub ~repaired/replaced our basement fluorescent lighting ~2 new panels were installed upstairs and downstairs (so when a breaker goes off, now we just have to flick the switch instead of replacing the old glass screw-in fuses) ~updated breaker boxes in the basement as well ~Installed 10 wireless smoke detectors up to NEC code ~repaired a basement shower light that got flooded from an above toilet... don't ask... ; )
