+ -1 moreIt didn't. Note: if you don't want people to call your cell phone, don't put it on official correspondence. Keep notes, so you don't sound disorganized or disinterested. I wish I'd had the opportunity to have done business with this company, they sound truly professional. In my case, I had limited time in San Antonio, and wanted to get started right away. If hours are set, and you don't have time to talk, then maybe the answering machine would be appropriate, rather than sounding abrasive because someone called during business hours and you have to leave.
Description of Work: Services were not performed. This critique is for the Action Roofing and Remodeling in San Antonio with point of contact of a Ms. Theresa Skyrobenek (sorry if I misspelled name). If this is not the correct one, please disregard. I made contact via e-mail, an estimate was given via satellite, I informed them I work out of state, but needed to get my roof done. I had questions, was told to sign the contract and give them 2 weeks. In the interim there were several rain storms and hail damage, I contacted them via email again with questions about a 3D shingle, which they said would be more $. I asked how much more money. Theresa replied she had lost the email trail.... In the meantime, my scheduled visit to my home came up, I arrived in San Antonio, called Action Roofing, and spoke with Theresa around 4 pm on Monday May 16, she said she was on her way to an appointment at 4:30 and she couldn't assist me at that time, and she asked if I needed an estimate for 3D, I told her at that time, I had decided to just leave original shingles. I called next day, she answered "hello", so I asked "Is this Action Roofing", she stated I had called her on her cell phone. That is the number on all the emails I received from her. I reminded her we had talked briefly day before, then she started asking about 3D shingles again, and she would send someone out to talk with me. Something about her tone of voice, just wasn't a positive interaction. I told her I'd be looking elsewhere.

+ -1 moreThe work took two months. Since the repairs my heating bill has doubled. The cracked the wall boards on every window. Three of the windows are the wrong size. I had to buy all new molding for the windows. They left a big mess. They broke a lamp and damaged another piece of furniture.
Description of Work: They repaired the roof and siding. They also replaced the windows.

+ -1 moreHE TOOK HALF OF THE MONEY AND SAID HE WOULD START THE NEXT DAY. HE KEPT DELAYING. HE FINALLY HAD SOMEONE TAKE THE CHIMNEY DOWN AND THEY LEFT A BIG MESS. HE LEFT A BIG HOLE AND PUT NO TARP OVER THE HOLE. I HAVE HAD IT AND WANT MY MONEY BACK. I AM HAVE NO LUCK REACHING HIM.
Description of Work: HE WAS GOING TO REBUILD OUR CHIMNEY.

+ -1 moreOVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE. THE PORCH HAD A HOLE, AND I ASKED FOR REDECKING. A WORKER SIMPLY NAILED A GOOD PIECE OF PLYWOOD OVER BAD WOOD. I CAUGHT THIS AND BROUGHT IT TO THEIR ATTENTION. THEY FIXED IT, BUT IT LEFT ME A BIT UNEASY. EVERYTHING AFTER THAT POINT WENT WELL, THOUGH THEY MISSED SOME DETAILS. GREAT CLEAN UP, WHICH WAS APPRECIATED.
Description of Work: TEAR OFF & REPLACEMENT ON A TWO STORY BUILDING AND A FLAT ROOF PORCH WITH DIMENSIONAL SHINGLES.
