 + -1 moreThe game that they played with me went like this--they promise something over the phone, put the bare minimum in writing, come out and deliver less than what they promised, then explain they don't recall what they promised. I'm really not sure what happened here. ABC has a tremendous reputation, I think they just got too busy for my little flat roof. I'd only consider hiring them again if I had a large enough project to get their attention, like a complete tear-off and re-shingle. It took me over an hour to properly set the gutter guards and seal the exposed wood. I would have been on the phone with ABC at least twice that long before they would have come out to do it. I have a feeling I'll continue to discover cut corners like these.
Description of Work: Tore off and replaced flat roof with torchdown. Installed 22x22 curb-mounted skylight. Follow-up on the flat roof replacement last winter. Figured I'd get the ladder out and check things out now that spring is arriving. To my amazement, ABC managed to not only reverse my gutter guards, they did not replace the flashing on a fascia board and left it exposed to the elements.

 + -1 moreI found the company to be very pleasant to work with. It was difficult to reach them when leaving a message but if you called during business hours they were very helpful. Since our job was so small we were able to agree on a price over the phone and they came and did the repair in a timely manner. I was very happy with the service.
Description of Work: We had just a few shingles blow off during the past wind storm but they were on a very steep portion of our roof were we could not safely replace them ourselves. These shingles were successfully replaced in a timely manner.

 + -1 moreLarge crew of 10 tore off, cleaned up the debris and mostly reroofed in one day. They did some repair work and installed a replacement sky light. The yard looks cleaner than before the job and they were careful to use a tarp with the small amount of debris inside under the sky light. They identified themselves when they arrived in the morning and explained the proposed work for that day.

Description of Work: Repair of a serious leak in the garage roof where it connects to the house. ABC fixed the problems (which were due to faulty construction, but of course the builder claims no responsibility!): removed & replaced rotted wood decking, installed ice/water barrier,sistered a roof beam, reflashed the connection from the garage roof to the house, reshingled.

UNFORMATTED, AND THIS MAY BE TRUE WITH MOST ROOFING COMPANIES, UNLESS THE SALESMAN WAS HERE, YOU COULD NOT INTERACT WITH THE WORKERS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! AT LEAST THEY DID NOT LET ON LIKE THEY DID! IT TOOK LONGER TO GET THE ROOF THAN I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT (I DO REALIZE WEATHER IS A FACTOR). RESPONSIVENESS (RETURNED CALLS) WAS GOOD, BUT ONLY WHEN IT WAS CLOSE TO OUR TIME.
