Considering the extent of the damages they corrected, I feel the project went smoothly. I was impressed by their thoughtful consideration of client, their top-notch knowledge and skill level, and excellent work ethic. The job was done professionally and with quality results. I was very pleased with the entire process that resulted in restoration of my faith that qualified contractors do exist in this world. Re the cost factor, I don't feel qualified to make a judgment call on this-so I only graded that as fair because your software requires input on that subject. There was a lot of work, but I was surprised by the seemingly high cost. Fortunately, this was paid by the previous contractor's insurer. As a layman, I have no way to determine what a fair price is for the work they did. They completed the job quickly and had numerous employees on the job daily. They even re-seeded my lawn. They completed the job a couple days before our first snow to my great relief and thoroughly cleaned up their work areas. Their's is a quality company.
Description of Work: Repaired major damages caused by a previous contractor to patio, patio retaining wall, foundation, soil grading, basement window, and exterior fascia that resulted in basement flood damage, cracking of new patio he installed, and subsequent severe mold in 2 basement rooms. They repaired 3 concrete blocks that were pushed inside one basement wall, removed entire patio brick retaining wall that had severe masonry damage, removed the new, previously installed patio that previous contractor sloped toward the house, instead of away from the house, and installed a new replacement patio. They dug up approximately 24 linear ft. of the ground surrounding the foundation at one corner of my house, exposing the entire foundation in that area, installed a new underground downspout that drained well away from the foundation, and sealed that entire exposed section of the foundation. The previous contractor had also filled in an in-ground swimming pool but did not grade the soil properly which resulted in drainage going toward the house. So, ACS regraded the entire backyard to correct this issue. As a result of the damages by the previous contractor, a lot of water was seeping through the concrete foundation, thereby creating major mold problems inside the basement. They did a total hazmat clean-up of the two rooms and sealed the interior affected basement walls with Dry-Lok.
