Well Done Handyman & Home Renovations

As part of a porch rebuild, I asked Well Done Handyman to replace the stair and porch railings with a more modern design. I asked them to build the railings with crossbars of horizontal rebar instead of vertical wooden balusters. This is a fairly unique design and one they had not installed before. Nevertheless, they designed and built the railings I requested for two porches and two sets of stairs. It turned out absolutely beautiful and I've had lots of comments from neighbors on how great it looks. In fact, I'm so happy with how they turned out that I'm thinking about having Well Done Handyman replace the railings at the back of my house with the same design next spring!

I had rotting wood on the ceiling of my front porch (which was also the base of the second floor porch). As Well Done Handyman started taking it apart we soon realized that the entire structure was rotting and needed to be rebuilt. James had the lead on the project. He designed the second floor porch with a rubber roof and drains covered by deck boards, so that it looked great and there would be good drainage so that rotting would not be a problem again. I soon learned I could depend on James to provide excellent, high quality, detailed work throughout. The cold weather was challenging, but the team really worked hard to complete the project in a timely manner. I am extremely happy with the results! Can't wait to use my new and improved porches next spring!

I had significant mold growing on a bathroom wall. Well Done Handyman pulled all the fixtures out, replaced the damaged wall, drywalled, painted and installed new fixtures (vanity, toilet, mirror, and lights). The bathroom looks beautiful now! They did a great job - efficient and with care! I would definitely hire them to do this type of work again.

The workman showed up on time, was very professional and completed the work efficiently. During the installation it became clear the provided hardware was insufficient for the job, so because I was unable, he even went to tge hardware store to get tge correct lags. When he was done, he cleaned up the area and made sure I understood what he did, how abd why he did it and I had all the unused items.

Well Done Handyman owners David and Felita Price took care in speaking w/me about an extension of our tall wooden fencing, were receptive to our scheduling needs, and then came out to get it underway with the team of two workers. We all began on the same page this way, and our process together was productive and pleasant. Our workers displayed good carpentry skills, thoughtfulness in avoiding problems and mistakes, and attention to detail. I also appreciate their readiness to consult w/me about my preferences and to communicate about smart use of resources/materials. Their communication has been so helpful for me, a novice in home improvement. They built a better aligned fence than the original portion done by others some years ago. Also, I felt I could approach them with any thought or question about the job; they listened, and their responses were satisfactory and explanatory. Our getting the wood and other materials at Menard's that morning proved time-consuming, but I chalk that up to my lack of experience, some mis-labeling, and scarce lumber yard employees when we sought them. Well Done is straightforward in charging a per/hour rate, and one source I read indicates it is in line with the average handyman rate across the country. I would work with Well Done Handyman on an array of outdoor and indoor tasks..

Went great David knew I needed more lighting in the restroom and the storage closet and also needed a heater duct moved in the ceiling and it all was done and I was so pleased it all went so very well...

Went great...they built and framed a storage closet. They dry walled and installed a light... the size of the closet was 4ft deep by 10 ft long... Installed a door and baseboards and the trim... David was awesome communicated very well what services he performed....Was very knowledgeable about all areas that needed remodeled.

Like before, David was very timely in his service to me. In fact, he was able to come on a Saturday to help me prepare the items to be hauled away before hauling them. I found his pricing reasonable and his service very professional, which did not surprise me at all. There is one thing in particular that should be included herein. I have used many service companies in the past, and my reviews have been submitted for other companies that have provided professional work. However, David is a very kind man, who is humble and honest. I will definitely call David again at Well Done Handyman & Renovations the next time I need something hauled.

previously had sheet vinyl and they installed ceramic tile and they also expanded the sq footage of the bathroom, they also framed in a ceiling and they hung drywall and installed baseboards.... looks amazing and I love the new floor and it is so much more spacious.... awesome job

I've used this company for 3 projects. Very professional company, workers. I relied on David and his crew to complete each project from start to finish in a timely manner. Each time the project was completed quickly, the workers cleaned up the worksite, excess materials were hauled away. David’s team came hauled away all the boxes and extra “stuff” from my move from a large home to a condo. These were things too large and heavy for me to get to the trash pickup point. What a relief! I honestly don’t remember what I paid, but it was extremely reasonable.

Due to our 21 yr old Whirlpool dishwasher springing a leak and seeping a little under our wood floor in the kitchen, I called on the Well Done Handyman and spoke to owner David Price. David was very helpful and was patient to listen to my situation and was able to arrange for a member of his team ("James") to visit me within a week. The following Tuesday James arrived. James has a long career in the home building industry so he is very experienced. He was able to very easily remove my old dishwasher and gave his opinion about the wood flooring (of which I said I would give it some thought before proceeding with replacing any flooring; it wasn't too bad). James also was very helpful in drilling a hole in the dishwasher inner cabinet area to provide the proper height for the dishwasher drain hose since the original builder put the hole too low. I was very happy with the overall service and highly recommend Well Done Handyman.

David’s team had worked hard all week, but when I reached them on a Thursday, they offered to come out Saturday morning. A two-man team hung my heavy mirrors and pictures beautifully and professionally, and carried other boxes and heavy objects to the basement for me. They’ve now come back and taken away all my moving boxes. Great communication, professionalism, courtesy and work ethic. I understand they do major renovations as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them for any job, large or small.

Roberto and Alex appeared just shortly after the appointed time. I showed them my basement. They assessed my situation, told me what they thought were my best options and got to work repairing a broken step, identifying other problems and resolving them. I also asked Roberto to look at a couple of small issues in another place in the house and he managed to attend to them as well. They were very pleasant and accommodating and took care of everything I asked them to address.

Very well. They return calls right away , the service guys were right on time and did the work quickly and very well. They left the area very clean and were polite and professional. Dealt with the owner Mr. Price by phone. He is very polite and explains everything clearly including the pricing. 5 stars!!

We called the owner, David Felita and I believe he was driving so he asked us to text him our contact info and he would call as soon as he got back to his office. Never heard from him again. We even gave him the benefit of the doubt and tried to reach him a couple more times.

We got so much more than what we expected. On the one hand, I underestimated the skill needed to prepare a wall for painting after removing wallpaper. But thank God that there are companies like Well Done who can honestly, professionally and affordably fix my mistakes and make things right. We are very pleased and will definitely use them again.

Water damaged window frames needed replaced/repaired. Owner evaluated the job and sent 2 workers to do repairs. The next time I saw the owner was at time to pay. Good workers but at over $1000 a day (not including materials, which I paid for or painting which I performed) the price was pretty rich. A certain amount of exploratory work was required to determine extent of job so I understand some open ended ness to the the final price. I am not certain they were completely versed in window frame repair as I had to point out some functional issues (blocked weep holes). They gladly came back and corrected this problem and some other issues. I thought the owner could have benefitted from coming to review the work when I called about the problem but just said his worker would fix whatever was necessary. I assume some of the rich price I paid would have been for oversight of the job and management but that part of the service was missing. Also, they say they accept credit cards (and they do) but don’t tell you until you hand them the credit card that they will charge you a 4% premium for accepting your card. I am sure this is perfectly legal but should be revealed in their advertising. In the end I was satisfied with work. The workers were friendly, did neat work and cleaned up. The owner was very personable. I was less than satisfied with price and last minute credit card surprise, though.

Very pleased with Bill and Ryan. They work well together as team. I had work completed inside home and outside. Replaced rotted wood behind gutter, added another downspout; repaired drywall, painted, installed chairrail. It was extremely hot outside. Encouraged both to take breaks to cool down. Tough to get them to stop working! Will hire them again for more work in a few days.

Roberto and Alex completed a big job within two days. They cut no corners in materials and labor cost and I didn't want them to do so - both are craftsmen. They had to remove and replace portions of my sub flooring in Great Room due to water damage, replace back door insert, replace trim inside and outside; adjust back door opening in order to fit door system purchased at Home Depot. I highly recommend this company and these men.

Carlos did a great job with tiling. They were professional, timely, and very responsive to our needs.

These guys are very good and very professional. My only complaint is that their hourly rate for handyman services is very high, even with the Angie's List deal. I polled the neighborhood on the Nextdoor app about the going rate for a handyman after hiring them. On a positive note, thay did knock some off the bill when the work took longer than expected, which was much appreciated.
