Well Done Handyman & Home Renovations

Arrived on time and went straight to work. Installation went smooth and finished in a very reasonable time frame of 1 hour.

It was a disaster. I originally hired Well Done to come to my home and hang a large picture in my master bedroom and a simple curtain rod in a second bedroom. Justin was sent out to do the job. I was not at home when work was done, my husband was there to tell them what to do. When I got home to see the finished product, the picture was hung unevenly and the curtain rod was also crooked. There were also multiple dirty fingerprints on my walls near the curtain rod and the picture, which must have happened as Justin was installing both. I immediately called the owner to report the problem. He apologized and said he would make it right and then would provide me another service at a later date free of charge. The following week David Price called me to tell me that he wanted Justin to be able to redeem himself so he was sending Justin back to fix the problems. I was concerned, but willing to give him another chance. Justin arrived 35 minutes late. I showed him the two projects, and he immediately told me that my curtain rod was crooked because my window was crooked, and the picture wasn't straight because the floor wasn't straight. I live in a new home and told him I thought that was unlikely. After the work was done, and Justin and his coworker left my house I went to the master bedroom to check on the picture and noticed a huge, round black stain on my carpet directly under the picture. It was either stain from a can or a dirty pant's leg. I immediately texted a photo to David Price. He responded right away that Justin sent him a picture of the stain as well and told him it was on the carpet when he got their. I then tried to call David, but he wouldn't take my call, I left a message telling him that the stain wasn't there before Justin started work, and didn't he think it was odd that Justin would alert him to the stain after the job was finished, instead of before the work got started? I have spent more than two hours trying to remove the stain with no luck. I will need to hire a professional to get the stain out. I have not heard back from David Price or anyone from Well Done.

Michael arrived on time and immediately started the job. Though I interupted him several times with questions about the company he works for, he gave me his undivided attention (like put the tools down and made eye contact) while never making me feel like I was interupting his timeline. While he was here, he didn't hesitate to look at other areas that need repair, offered guidance on how to prep several of them so we can move projects along as quickly as possible and NEVER made me feel nervous about being in the house alone. This company is enrthusiastic about getting and keeping my business and I am looking forward to getting my house in order. I am happy and very satisfied I chose Well Done......

Provide suggested that work required to resolve the existing issues are feasible in the offered deal. We agreed not to go forward with the work and Provider was able to refund my money.

Great deal.. Very skilled/knowledgeable technicians. Was wary of potential up charges but never came to that. Very professional. I did have them give me some estimates on some other potential projects and I thought those came back very high. Figured they were trying to make up for not makimg any money on the Angie'slist deal

He showed up on time and had to leave to get a couple supplies. It took much longer than I would expect, and my husband had to go with him. He seemed to wander around the store for a long time. He then came back and took quite a bit of time installing the sink and had to "reword" the disposal to reinstall it. (It now sounds terrible.) As he got ready to leave, he told us a part he needed that I could install myself since one drain line was rusted. I was ok with that. We found after he left that the hot and cold water lines were switched. We called and he came back to fix it and was going to install the parts he told me to buy. Those apparently did not fit and he had to buy different ones (even though both packages read the same.) It is all fixed now, but was way more hassle than I expected, and our disposal still sounds horrible.

It was fine, took way longer then I expected. Very nice guy but seemed distracted.

I bought a 2 hour special on Angie's list. David Price, the owner, contacted me right away and scheduled someone within the week. I purchased the flooring tiles at Lowes and the handyman laid the floor very quickly and with precision. He was very nice and professional and I would hire them again.

Great! You have to have the materials ready and know what you want. I asked for a metal patch to prevent the animal from gnawing back in. I found some aluminum edging, and he fashioned a patch. Good show!

He was polite and checked out the shower stall. He had to run to Lowe's, because he needed special screws for the tile. He came back promptly and installed them. I had hired him for two hours, but it didn't take that long, so he asked if there was something else I wanted him to do. I didn't have anymore small jobs. The only thing that I wasn't very happy about was his tracking in snow and walking all the way through the house. I had to wipe up snow in the entrance. Most repairmen that come into the house will put covers on their shoes.

Chris arrived promptly, finished re-installing the siding piece quickly and thoroughly, and was very polite and courteous when he arrived and as he left. A very pleasant young man. I will definitely use this service again!

The owner of the company did a great job keeping me informed of who was coming to my home and went to expect them. The technician arrived promptly, was clean, very polite and professional. After completing the initial work that was part of the original offer, an estimate was given based on additional work needed to complete the job. I agreed to have the technician return the next day for two additional hours of work. All work was done in a very thorough and complete manner. The technician cleaned up after himself and left nothing behind. I totally recommend this company to anyone who has drywall that needs to be repaired. Well done!

Chris Huston was the handyman that did the work. He was punctual and very professional. I explained and showed him everything I wanted done and he was able to do all the things I requested in the allotted time. He was very efficient and asked questions to make sure he was doing it the way I wanted. He was also very neat and clean and friendly. I am very happy with the job he performed! I had a light switch that had a short in it. He was not able to repair it during the time allotted so he disconnected the switch and got permission to come back and fix the switch later to prevent possible fire damage. The items that he could repair was limited. The handyman told us that many of the tasks that we requested were not doable.

I didn't really like them. He said he was here to weatherize and I said, well can you do something with the front door? He said that he can put some stripping around the top and that will keep the draught out. It also ripped off every time I opened and shut the door. He didn't come with any ideas for weatherizing my house. I brought up some things and he said that we would need to remove this window and that and that. I didn't want to remove the window. He didn't have much for me as far as ideas to weatherize my house.

It worked out terrific. They were very prompt and thorough.

It went fine. It was a couple of weeks later. Some of their nails weren't cleaned up.

I purchased a Big Deal from Well Done Handyman on November 27 to replace an exhaust pipe that was leaking in my attic. The service I requested was very clear at the time of scheduling. Because of my schedule, the repair was scheduled for December 30th at 8 a.m., and I took the day off work to be there for the repair. At 11:12 p.m. on December 29, Well Done sent me an email saying they do not do plumbing work, even though their description says that they do. They called that morning around 7:45 a.m. to make sure I got the email (I had not). Not being able to do the repair is one thing. But when I placed the order, I described the job I needed done in the comments. Additionally, when they called to schedule the appointment, they restated what I had written in the comments. There was an entire month when they could have told me they do not do that work.

They came out the first time, we needed some additional parts and when we finally got those parts the provider never called us back.

Sent out requests to a few companies asking for help ASAP. This company responded the next morning. Tyler was here by 8 to look over job and give me a quote. He did job that day. Meticulous work. Great guy and work ethic.

He was kind, polite and professional. I also spoke with his wife who was the same. I am not able to use their services because of my own scheduling conflict however I would use them in the future.

It went well. Done before the 2 hour period. Excellent workmanship..

They came out to fix it, but said they didn't have a tall enough ladder so they would come back. While they were here they fixed a couple of outlets which we were going to repair if there was time remaining. It took him 10 minutes. After calling a couple times I finally got on the phone with Dave and after about an hour of conversation, he decided the only way I could repair what I originally needed was to rent a boom and spend somewhere in the $300-400 dollar range. So a deal of getting something fixed for cheap, turned into getting something I didn't need fixed for too much. Owner was cordial and explained to me how much these guys really make on the Big Deals, and at the end of the day, it just isn't worth it for anyone. I cant believe I still buy the Big Deals. Always too good to be true. UPDATE 01/08/2016 The owner response below opens by saying that upon closer examination, my story falls apart. I believe the company is embarrassed by their failure on this job. The response outlines a conversation which occurred two weeks after the handyman visit to my home. The company may have no idea what their employee told me, as they will not discuss it with me. This conversation two weeks following the job and the revisionist response below is really the story which falls apart.
