First of all, the friendliness, quality of work and knowledge were excellent..no complaints at all in that regard. Here is my MAJOR issue. We received a quote for $3200. Once they got into the project, there were obvious issues that were going to result in a higher price. More cracks to fill, more drywall to replace etc. I fully expected the price to almost double. What I wasn’t prepared for was the invoice that showed up almost triple($9100) and when I called, texted, tried to reach out, I was ghosted. Gabe and I talked everyday and it just shocked me that when I wanted to have a discussion as to why the bill was so high, he never once returned my call to even have that discussion. Oh well, I paid the bill in full, we moved away and I’m sure that the house is better for our new buyers. But uncomfortable conversations need to be discussed in any service transactions and we were blindsided and disappointed that it never happened.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. They were great to communicate with, very responsive to emails, which is helpful if you're like me and don't have much time for phone conversations with a full time job and young children to care for at home. The quote for the work was provided well beforehand, and was clearly stated and professional. They were even flexible with their hours, coming out to do the work on a Sunday because we had to meet a deadline for closing on the sale of the house. The price was beyond reasonable, I didn't even know mold remediation could be that inexpensive - granted the problem was mostly isolated to a modestly-sized area in the crawlspace since the house doesn't have ductwork or central heating/cooling. Overall, I would highly recommend them - I would use their services again in a heartbeat!
Description of Work: They came out and inspected some potential mold spots found by a general home inspector, took swabs and sent them to a lab for testing, and when it was determined that treatment was needed, they performed the treatment.

Outstandingly well! Environ Deco worked like trojans to get my garage mold mitigated and my house on the market for me as soon as possible. Gabe, the owner, has been in mold mitigation in the Fort Wayne area for about 10 years, and all his staff (I think there are about nine, with Gabe's wife handling the phone) are not only trusted colleagues but his friends. In addition to being excellent workers--and kind and reassuring to me in a very stressful situation--Environ Deco is a green company in the messy, toxic line of mold mitigation. Everything they use for mold mitigation--all products and processes--are 100% green/biodegradable or organic Their top green certifications are IICRC, MICRO, IAQ and EPA Lead Safe.
Description of Work: Environ Deco saved my house sale! Two days before my house was going on the market, ugly black mold suddenly appeared on the below-ground-level parts of two walls in my attached garage. Horrors! The mold suddenly appeared because there had been days of the garage door being left open during very humid and hot weather (carpet installers in the adjacent basement needed ventilation). Seeing the mold disaster, I looked on Angie's List, saw good reviews for Environ Deco and called them. Gabe, the owner, came by several hours later to assess and give an estimate. I was impressed and hired the company. Environ Deco's staff started work the next day, and were at it all week. Gabe and his crew worked intensively on removing the mold and ended up making my garage look much better than before the mold. Gabe was even in my garage that Sunday evening, doing final painting. Gabe, who was extremely easy to keep in touch with via texting, told me at the start that he was trying to keep costs down, and he did. My final bill was at the bottom of the initial estimate, $2050--despite my homeowner's insurance having said they'd pay up to $10,000. That's integrity. Finally, Environ Deco left me a certificate of mold mitigation, effective for two years and fully transferable. It's no exaggeration to say Environ Deco saved my house sale!

I appreciated Gabe coming out and engaging me in conversation as well as taking the time to do a thorough inspection. He did not believe that we needed to test for mold since he didn't see or smell anything. We explained our situation and he believes we could use about $4400 in work in the basement around the foundation (3 sump pumps). He didn't up sell me on a mold detection test and is keeping me on file in case we go in that direction in the future.

Description of Work: We used Gabe and his company for mold remediation at my father's home. He completed inside work as well as outside ditching and drainage work to be sure the problem was fully taken care of. He answered all of our questions and was thorough . He was by far the least expensive quote we received. We were very pleased with the end result. Would highly recommend.

Description of Work: I cannot say enough positive things about this company. They were kind, helpful, and ready to explain exactly what needed to be done. The price was well under what I had anticipated. When I requested special paperwork for closing on selling my house (weeks after services) they were very willing to help. Highly recommend!
