Rogers Appliance Service

When I told them I live in Gary, the lady changed the service charge price several times during the conversation. She seemed very scared about sending someone out here. I do not live in a scary area, we have good and bad neighborhoods, but I have trouble getting someone out here to work on my washer. They probably would have come out, but the tone made me not want to have them come out. I would rather have someone that won't rush to get done.

Had dealt with another repair company for almost two weeks to fix my refrigerator. When the part finally came in and they installed it, it appeared that all was working. By the next day I realized that the freezer was working but not the refrigerator itself. Being frustrated with the other repair service I called Roger on Monday morning. He called back before I could even leave a message about my problem. He promised to be out the next day and was actually 1 hour early. He checked the new part that had been replaced and found that two cables were NOT connected! Once he put them where they belonged everything started working. I will NEVER use anyone else but Roger. He is so knowledgeable about what he does and price is very reasonable.

The story speaks for itself ! I would highly recommend everyone in Lake and Porter Co. STOP spending an entire day waiting for an overworked and likely under paid service person and give Roger a try. He is also a heater and air conditioning repair person.

Pleasant service call after arriving earlier than appointment time. Roger quickly determined the reason for failure of the oven to heat properly. Unfortunately Roger was not able to source a replacement part that Maytag has on back order for more than two more months. Repair was therefore not made. Service call was a reasonable $49.00.

After he did a great job on a dryer repair, I decided to call Roger again when my washer stopped working. Left a message on a Saturday morning which he returned a few hours later. Explained the problem, and after discussing the model/mfr with him, he said the unit was basic, didn't have a circuit board or anything. He then explained a manual reset on the machine, I clarified how to do it since I was not home when he called me back. Hung up feeling pretty sure that his idea would not work, but when I got home, and followed his suggestion, it worked perfectly. I have no doubt that there are providers in the area who would have jumped at a chance to get a quick few bucks off of me for a service call fee, but he simply stated the problem, said he didn't need to do a repair and was absolutely right!! Thank you again for great customer service. You have a loyal and faithful client and will also refer you to anyone I know who needs a repair.

Promptly returned call, setup appointment and Roger was on time and ready to go. Quickly diagnosed problem on the dryer and replaced the part. Very fair price, and will definitely use him again. Had him diagnose a problem on my ice maker/water dispenser on the fridge and he did so, found it to be very expensive to fix and he recommended against a repair which was very good at looking out for my needs as opposed to his own.

Excellent experience. Would recommend to everyone. Hard to find business men like this anymore. What a pleasant experience.

Roger was very professional and polite when I called to schedule an appointment. Appointment was made about a week away(just a note, I live in Kouts...many service companies only go to certain areas one or two days a week due to the distance.I don't know if I could have gotten an earlier appointment had I lived closer, but it wasn't an issue for myself at all,being it was an oven repair.) Roger got here on time, was polite, professional, and seemed very knowledgable in every aspect of his field. He came in,removed what he needed to access the lower part of the oven after I explained what was happening, and he knew exactly what was causing the problem. He had the whole job done in 15 mins, and not only changed the bad part but the whole assembly that the ignitor is part of at no extra cost. He tested it, explained everything as to what he had done, and answered any questions I had about the repair. He then re-assembled everything back to the original order it was when he arrived. We sat down to take care of the financials, and I happened to think of a problem I have been having for quite some time with a mildew smell from my front load washer. I had read quite a bit of information online regarding the issue,and how every one of these front loaders has the same problem,... but I thought I would ask him about it. He gave me great information in what I can do, how to do it, what causes the problem, and even went downstairs to take a look and showed me where to clean and how to access the trap in the washer. He spent at least an extra 10-15 mins talking with me about it free of charge, and was genuinely glad to help! That is absolutely great customer service! I honestly wouldn't call anyone else for appliance repair after having Roger come out. A+ experience all around, and i will recommend him to everyone I know.

When I called Rogers Appliance he answered the phone right away. On the appointment day he called to let me know that he was running early and asked if it would be okay if he came on over. He came over and went straight to work removing his shoes upon entering the house. He worked very quickly and efficiently and fixed everything. He was very nice, professional and has a great personality. He gave me the $10.00 off from Angie List even though I had not printed the coupon.

I am so happy with the services provided. From the first phone call I made, he was professional and courteous. He came to fix my washing machine and dryer and was even 15 minutes early! Very nice and very friendly. He even took his shoes off at the front door. He explained everything to me about what was wrong with my washing machine, and then, as an afterthought, I asked about the dryer, which was making a noise. He fixed that too, and explained that it was good that I spoke up about it because as it was, it was a serious fire hazard. Once all was said and done, he asked if we were having trouble with teh air conditioning upstairs and showed me how to improve the efficiency to the air conditioner. He did that at no charge. He was very friendly and kind to both me and my young daughter. We will definitely be calling him for future repairs.

DRyer went out- I called Roger on a weekend and he called back in a timely manner. He set a convenient date and came to fix the machine. He was pretty sure it was a simple fix. He made the simple fix and the machine worked for about an hour- he then realized the other part was needed (he was hoping I would not have to buy the extra part). He returned promptly and made the final fix. Very fast, efficient and friendly. Came all the way from Hobart to Highland. Trustworthy- highly recommended

He was top-notch in all areas. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, had all necessary equiptment. He was on-time (even early!), and was fast but thorough. He explained everything so I knew what he was doing, and showed me the problem and how he was going to fix it in advance. He even repaired my garbage disposal which was a last-minute request, which he did at no charge. Run, don't walk, to hire this nice gentleman for your repair.

EXCELLENT, he could have took advantage of a woman like me, instead he chose the high road. I wish he serviced my area because he would be the guy a I would call with no hesitation.

He was excellent and really good. He was honest with me and I really liked him. His prices were reasonable and he took his shoes off at the door; he did not have to but he did. I called one day and he came out the next morning at the time he said he would. I will use him again in the future.

My call was handled on the first call. An appointment was set for the following day. The repairman showed up on schedule (actually a few minutes early). He was very careful about not tracking dirt in the house. After checking the dryer Roger explained what he thought the problem was and what it would cost to repair the dryer. The dryer was repaired quickly. Roger was friendly and professional at all times. He also gave me a 10% discount when I told him I found him on Angie's List. I did not even know there was a coupon on the website.

I found them on Angie's List. He repaired the oven once last year. He's very nice and honest. I totally trusted what he did. He could have charged me more and he did the least possible that he could.

The job went great. I have no complaints and nothing that I disliked. He came once and he told me that he really didn't see anything wrong with the dryer. The problem persisted, and he basically told me I needed a new dryer.

They were great. My furnace is acting up now and I need to get them again. There was nothing I didn’t like and I loved them. They were honest and their price was fair. They returned my call and they were dead on time. He did an outstanding job. I am going to have them come back again. 1-4-12, Roger fixed the furnace and fridge (return visit no charge).

Roger was punctual, professional, and very helpful. This is what you want in a repair man. He came to my house, on time, and assessed the problem promptly. No muss, no fuss. I will definitely use his service again when needed.

Roger was great. When I first called him he called back within minutes of me leaving him a voice message. I called him on a Wednesday afternoon. He scheduled me for his first available appointment which happened to be the following Wednesday. He actually walked me through a couple things to try on my own in order to get the refrigerator to cool. I mean he told me step by step what parts to remove, what I was looking for and what I needed to do. His phone help actually worked. I called him back and told him what I saw and that the refrigerator was cooling. He told me that by doing what I did, I actually saved the compressor from burning up which in turn saved me money and let him know the exact part that needed replaced. He could have easily let my compressor burn out in order to increase the cost of the repairs, but he didn't. He came out on the 1st, was on time, replaced the part, cleaned up and was on his way. I can not be happier. I absolutely will use Roger again and refer him to all my friends.

We use Rogers a lot. They are prompt and always return missed phone calls. They are always on time and they called ahead of time, The quality of work is excellent and normally the prices are very good.

I called Roger's Applicances for my refrigerator/freezer problem due to the great reviews on Angie's List. Roger returned my call promptly. I called him late on the weekend and he indicated he could come first thing Monday am. He gave me detailed instructions on how to get the unit to work as a temporary fix until he could come first thing Monday am. He arrived early. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything very thoroughly to me. He had the replacement part in his van, even though my unit needed a different size. He installed the part quickly. He saw that the refrigerator wasn't level, so he took the time to fix that in addition to the loose molding on the bottom of the frig door. Roger was a very nice man. What a relief to find someone that can repair correctly and is also very trustworthy. Also, he was prompt, clean, and efficient. He explained everything in detail. I was happy with the price and the one year warranty. The price he quoted for part and service was accurate. He also indicated he could come back and fix another item with my refrigerator and not charge me the service charge if within the year. I could not be happier with his service. I would definitely call him again to service any of my appliances.
