Rogers Appliance Service

Roger came out and checked my whole house humidifier. He said he needs to order a part and would contact me when he gets it. He said it would take a couple of days. That was 4 weeks ago. I am in the process of finding someone else.

Every aspect of this transaction was perfect. He was on-time, fixed what he was called to fix, professional yet personable, and the cost was reasonable. I could not ask for more.

Roger showed me where the leaks were on the washing machine and made recommendations. He also determined that our gas range thermostat was defective and gave an estimate for its replacement. Roger was punctual. He is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to share that knowledge. His charges were very reasonable and I will use his service in the future. I highly recommend him.

Roger did an excellent job! He answered my first call, made an appointment to come out the next day, (a Saturday, with no extra weekend charge), and even made sure he knew my refrigerator's exact model number, so that he could be properly prepared for it. I really liked that! I think I'd almost gotten used to repairmen doing an initial check over, to see what you have/ what the issue is, then need a second appointment to get parts after the fact. A person can only be so prepared, but Roger made sure he was prepared as possible...and because of that, he had exactly what I needed with him, and fixed it right away! He was prompt, very friendly and knowledgeable. He worked fast, and I was actually quite suprised how fast he had everything done and cleaned up and working perfect! And then there is the price...it was less than I expected, especially when I thought I only had one issue, but had 2 and needed 2 parts replaced. Extremely reasonable! He also told me that beyond the warranty on his work, if I needed work on any other appliance in the near future, he'd still wave the service visit fee for it. Excellent customer service all around! I will call no one else for applicance repair.

I called Roger's Appliance Service and he responded within 2 hours. He setup a day and time for service. Roger called and ask if he could come earlier (scheduled for 6pm so this was good). He asked a few questions and fixed the problem right away. He was very pleasant and professional. I would recommend to neighbors and family.

This review is a little overdue, but I figured they did such a great job that I should given them a good review. I called for someone to look at my washer since it was "walking" across my laundry room and was really loud. He came out quickly and took a look. Ultimately it was moldy and needed a lot of work, he recommended that a replacement would be cheaper and more reliable than repair. We just bought the house and the previous owners did not properly care for the washer, so he gave me some pointers and now I have a new washer that I know how to upkeep properly!

Was called after another repair person told me I needed a $200 control board. Rodger correctly diagnosed that it as a $10 thermostat. He's now my go-to-guy for appliance repairs.

They did an excellent job! He was right on time, very nice and I highly recommend him.

He answered his phone when I called, I didn't have to leave a message. He scheduled an appointment that was within a few days (this was not an emergency repair with a freezer full of meat or anything). We had bought the fridge used and I wasn't sure it would be worth fixing. But when I told him what was wrong and he said it was an easy fix, then said what his rate to come out was, I thought it would be worth taking a chance. And I'm glad I did! He arrived promptly and knew exactly what to do to stop our problem. He also suggested he leave out the ice-maker which was not hooked up, suggesting that would leave us with more room in the freezer. Good idea! He willingly took a look at another appliance - a small upright freezer I had a question about. He answered my question and then noticed a shelf in the freezer was not frosted, which means the 12 year old freezer is wearing out. He told me when the remaining shelves stop frosting over that it will be time to replace the freezer - that it won't be worth repairing. Good to know!

The dryer was not working so I put in for a service call on 2/26/15. Roger said he had an opening for the next day at 2:00 pm. I set up the appointment. Roger was ahead of schedule and was able to come an hour early. He replaced he belt and it now runs great. We will definiately use Rogers Appliance Service in the future. Roger was very dependable, efficient and his prices were reasonable.

He was was great and actually recommended that we get a new frig.

When I called for service I left a voice message. He called back in 15 minutes and apologized for not getting back to me right away. He asked what service I needed and he set a time to come look at our dryer and oven. He was both professional and friendly on the phone. When he arrived, he had diagnosed both problems in a matter of minutes. The repairs were minimal and he gave great advice about the washer/dryer. I was wondering if we would need to purchase new appliances but he suggested keeping them because they would last many more years and were probably higher quality than what I could purchase. After looking at our washer he said it would work fine for the time being. He would come back when we wanted to have a part replaced. But he had an opening in a couple of days. So back he came through the snowstorm and replaced the part. Now we have washer/dryer/stove like new. Great service, great prices, and a professional yet friendly manner make Roger the go-to repairman in this house.

Roger arrived right on schedule, was friendly and professional. He completed the job very quickly and did not mind my watching and asking questions while he worked. Some things that I really appreciated which i consider above and beyond the great job of fixing my dryer. 1. He came into my house and removed his shoes at the entryway when he noticed we did not wear shoes in our home. I di dnot even think to ask so I really appreciated that extra courtesy. 2. He was friendly while still being professional, you can tell he likes he does and it is always nicer to deal with someone who is pleasant and good natured. 3. After he was done, he went over the dryer with me and provided tips for extending the life of the dryer and my stove too. I will absolutely use him again if the need arises and recommend him to my friends!!!!

He was funny and helpful. A few weeks later when we had a new problem he helped me trouble shoot over the phone and told me a simple action to take which took care of that particular issue! Very helpful and honest.

Roger was on time and ready to go to work. He installed our new double oven and answered all our questions. His service fee was included in the total cost, there were no hidden fees.

After leaving messages with several repairmen to try to get someone to look at it soon, Roger called back within about 90 minutes of our call. He said the soonest he could get out to look at it would be four days later but understood that because we were leaving town it was more time sensitive than that. After apologizing that he couldn't come sooner, he began asking questions about the make and model of the appliance, the nature of the sound it was making, when it started, where it seemed to be coming from, etc. After asking lots of questions, he said it didn't sound like a huge problem and that the fan in the freezer probably just got some ice on it and was out of balance. Over the phone he gave me simple instructions for removing the drawers inside the freezer, isolating where the sound was coming from, and firmly tapping on that part of the freezer to try to knock some of the ice loose. I did it and it worked like a charm. I can't express how much respect I have for Roger for his customer focus. He was more interested in helping me take care of (what turned out to be) a very simple problem than he was in booking more work or making money for himself. The other repairmen who replied to me responded in the way I'd expect... one said they couldn't come, had no availability until mid-July apologized and said goodbye... the other was an office manager who was friendly and tried to arrange an appointment for someone to come out a few days later but couldn't make it happen until after we left town. Roger offered help on the phone to fix the issue without charging a dime. That kind of service has earned my loyalty for any and all future work I might need done as well as referrals to anyone who is seeking appliance repair.

Not easy to find honesty in people anymore

Called Roger on a Friday afternoon and he returned the call by Friday evening to set up an appointment for Monday. He was prompt, kept in close contact for his appointment arrival and was extremely friendly and professional. He looked at the machine and recommended against repairs - they would be too costly when weighed against the price of a new washer. He discussed the problem in detail, called for parts costs right there on the spot and walked us through the issues. We ended up buying a new unit, but would not hesitate to call Roger again, or whenever we have an appliance issue. He treated spending our money like it was his own. Highly recommend Roger if you have any appliance problems - you'll get timely service and an honest answer.

I found Roger on Angie's List. Called him to diagnose and repair Kenmore front loading washing machine. He told me a few things to do over the phone so that I could open the door and read the model number off the inside of the door area, this way he was able to bring the correct pump that he thought he was going to have to replace. He got through his Friday appointments early and called to see if he could start the job sooner than scheduled, which worked out great for both of us. Roger is very knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to call him in the future. He will be my go to repair man. Five stars!

Changing the part went exactly as he had described. It took about 10 min. We have asked him to come over to diagnose and repair a problem with another machine. Very knowledgeable and professional.

We now call Roger the appliance whisper. What a knowledgable and professional person. He was able to troubleshoot our refrigerator on the phone and also confirmed the problem during the service call. He was able to provide us with repair options and recommendations. Best repairman I've met in 30 years. He is the one to call in Northwest Indiana.

Roger is very fair and effective. He knows his stuff and does a great job for a good price. We have used Roger 5 or 6 times now for both my personal home and my rental properties. Great job on refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and a/c.
