air duct cleaning
+ -1 moreThe technician showed up on time, in an unmarked truck. He came in and I showed him all registers and returns. I told him it would be easy for him, rehab house was completely empty and clean. The furnace and duct work had been completely replaced. Had a lot of construction so get got dirty. This is why they were called to begin with. He opened up the furnace, never used a flash-light just glanced at it for a few seconds. Told me it would be $350.00 just to clean furnace and additional $189 for duct work. I was shocked and he asked what I wanted to do. I told him know, he put furnace cover back on and said all the dust gets into furnace and would need a more thorough cleaning 2 hours total duct and furnace. He said before leaving he would call his manager and see what he could do on pricing. Came back with a price of $350.00. I felt like I was working with a used car salesperson. I called another duct cleaning service who I had used before, his price was higher and I was trying to save money my mistake. He told me it takes 5 hours to clean not 2 hours and it was a scam. Thank God I didn't sign anything. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Description of Work: I called to get a quote over the phone, I was told the coupon in coupon book for $39.95 wasn't correct, should have known then it wasn't going to go well. I was quoted $189 over the phone for furnace and ductwork.
