BOYD CONSTRUCTION CO INC

It was my first time using them. They came in at a more reasonable cost for the whole job. I did the demolition myself that I knew that I couldn't put it back the way I wanted. So, I started looking for contractors that everybody I even initially talked to just gave me really high estimates and basically wanted to do the job. They were high in price and they basically just kind of wanted to do their own thing down there. (inaudible 00:03:56) came in low, but telling me if things change along the way, problems you could have, but he was willing to work with me. He told me, "I could do some of the work to keep the cost down". He gave me some really good ideas that I didn't think about before that really nobody else did. They just came in and have their own vision. When I told them what I wanted, even though that's the best idea, they didn't recommend anything different and just kind of quoted me high. I felt like they didn't really want to do the job that's why they were giving me such a high number on it and had given me some very good ideas that I wanted going with. Not any was much cheaper in the final end, but he did basically everything for me and I didn't have to look at the figure, and he was still a little bit cheaper than the people who are even starting off at. The job isn't the best, but I'm very happy for the time they did it and the money I paid for it. I'm very pleased with what he did for me especially giving me some ideas that I didn't even think of. It was done on a reasonable amount of time. He got back to me right away, always withstand if there was problems, yet no problem and getting that to my attention. He was here every time he said he would be here. They got it done pretty much on time. They're very professional.

They did very good work, and the price was reasonable. Richard Boyd, the supervisor I worked with, was excellent. He helped me file paperwork with the city for partial reimbursement. Also, payment wasn't expected until I was completely satisfied with their work.
